I have use K & R Auto since I first moved to Waukesha 15 years ago.  I have never been able to drive new cars so visited them often.  They are the most professional, honest, helpful mechanics that truly work their hardest for YOU, the customer.  They have helped guide me through the order of repairs my car needed for safety and reliability. They don't just fix something.  They look all over and will notify you if they find something out of the ordinary that was above what you brought your car in for repairs.  ALways on time. Always considerate. Always reliable.

They're very close by so it's very convenient. If any kind of emergency comes up, it makes it very convenient. They've just been a good neighborhood mechanic that we've used pretty much as long as we've lived here for any of the cars we have. They work out very well. They seem to know what they are doing. They're very courteous. I have a lot of trust in them that we're getting good care whenever we take our vehicle there. They're a full service mechanic.

Let me first start by saying that K R Auto has been good in the many years of service they have provided to my extended family. We have had many cars fixed, and their price has been competitive to slightly higher price than competitive. they excel at informing you of what they will do, and they tended to tell you if something could wait to be fixed. In tight budget times, this is always appreciated. I sent my mother to them, as I trusted their many years of service. However, my mom is highly unlikely to return for service. A full brake job required 2 additional visits for follow-up repairs to the brakes. One result was noisy brakes, and the next was a locked in place brake pad resulting in an overheated, warped rotor. The rotor was actually glowing red and smoking in daylight after driving in-town at 30 mph without applying the brakes. One issue was caused by an old return spring needing replacement (which is typically replaced during a brake job and separately billed as hardware), and the other was caused by forgetting to grease the brake caliper track for the brake pad. This was very uncharacteristic of work performed at K R Auto. However, my mom won't return. I have at least the benefit of having a longer, more positive history with their results.

KR AUTO IS A FAIRLY BUSY SHOP. HOWEVER, THEIR SERVICE MANAGER (DANNY) APPEARS TO BE EFFICIENT AT MANAGING THEIR RESOURCES SO THAT YOUR CAR IS REPAIRED PROMPTLY. IN CASES OF EMERGENCY SERVICE (I.E., NO APPOINTMENT) OUR CARS HAVE HAD TO WAIT UP TO (1) BUSINESS DAY. TO MINIMIZE TIME WAITING FOR PARTS, DAN IS ADEPT AT ANTICIPATING NEEDS AND GETTING PARTS IN STOCK QUICKLY WHEN WORK BEGINS. THEY ALWAYS CALL TO CONFIRM PRICING PRIOR TO INITIATING WORK.
