They called me and wondered why I cancelled. They did not call me back and I had to get the problem fixed. I went ahead and used a different company. They should have been willing to come sooner to do the job. They wanted to come when it was more convenient for them.

It was really easy to schedule the appointment for a furnace tuneup and inspection ,. The technician arrived on time and headed out to the attic where my furnace was located. He seemed very knowledgeable about the work and also pointed out to me about the space in the roof that needed to be plugged. The worked was estimated to take about 30 to 45 minutes and that is what it took exactly. I would use the folks again and would recommend to others seeking similar service as well.

It was fine. He knew what he was doing. They said the heat exchanger is cracked and I will need a new furnace.

This was a great offer and the service we received from Rhett was outstanding. He answered many questions about the expected life span of our current gas furnace and hot water heater, and offered good recommendations for us to think about when it came time to replace them. This was definitely a great deal for having a routine maintenance servicing for a furnace and hot water heater and I would use this company again to have this done. We would also consult them when it came time for replacement of these appliances in our home. They sent a reminder e-mail out the day prior to the scheduled appointment, showed up on time, were clean and professional and very cordial.

Got the Deal from Angie's List. Called the company to set up an appointment. I was given a date and time and the name of the installer. He arrived on time and did the install. It didn't take long at all to complete.

They showed up on time. The technician did the evaluation and provided a thorough report to me. I was very satsified with his information and his work.

Rhett arrived on time, went right to work and I believe he gave the system a good check and we had a a good discussion of the matters. He left me with the impression that there was adequate airflow but marked it as low on his report. I have long though the airflow insufficient and would have liked to explore the matter further.

I got them from Angie's List. They had gotten super great grades which made me use them. I had bought a special off of Angie's list. I have two heaters and two air conditioners. When I had another company clean my air ducts out, the gentleman said that because it is inside the two heaters, I had to buy two certificates. That's one thing he told, that people don't read real clearly. You have to buy certificates for each heater and each air conditioner. He said that sometimes it has created a little bit of an issue. He's always remedied it somehow. Even when the guy that came out for the heater here, I had four certificates. They were great.

Appointment was easy to make. The worker arrived on time and was professional and careful.

Rhett came out to perform the furnace inspection (an Angie's List special deal). He reviewed the issues regarding the furnace. It was working properly but apparently when some work was done on it years ago, they didn't replace a cover in the furnace which keeps the dirt and junk from building up. The gas pipes were butted up against the furnace and, when whoever it was who modified it before, the vent pipe they used the cheaper single wall pipe. I also thought the water heater was earthquake strapped, but apparently the previous company dicided that was not important. (Of course it never occurred to me that it wasn't done, while it was so obvious, I mean its in front of me almost every day. (it was just one of those things that never clicked)). Anyway, after hearing all of this I asked Brett to look at the water heater and it was over 17 years old. It was just starting to leak on top. Brett said it would probably be o.k. for a while. I asked him what it would cost to replace it now instead of waiting for it to fail/leak. With the price he offered and the fact that I should really move it over a few inches, earthquake strap it, and correct the venting pipe and gas pipe, I decided to go ahead and save myself the hassle of waiting for it to fail. On the day the work was scheduled, Corey came out and started the work. He was on time, professional and did all the work carefully and effeciently. I am one of those people who usually has to stand and watch all of the work being done, but I felt confident enough after watching him for about 20 minutes that I decided it was o.k. to leave him alone to do his work. I checked every 20-30 minutes to see how things were progressing. It was clear to me that he is a pro. He knew what needed to be done, how to do, and do it efficiently, and cleanly. I inspected all of the work after it was done. Corey took the time to show me how the new water heater worked,and the its new features. He explained a few things with regard to the furnace and then he came in and checked every faucet in the house to clear them of the yucky water that shows up when the water has been shut off to the house for a while. He also did that to make sure the faucets would work (that air hadn't gotten stuck in the pipes). Anyway. I was and am very impressed with their work. I think their prices are very reasonable The work they did was first rate! Their employees are professional, and really are experts at what they do. The office coordinator? (sorry, not sure of her title) Sandi, was wonderful and very nice to deal with. Everything was handled with the least amount of fuss. Very streamline. I would recommend UMS to my best friend and to my family. I trust them and I was very pleased with their work.

This was an Angie's List deal, and I was worried we wouldn't think it was worthwhile or a "complete" service option. Thankfully, I was mistaken -- Rhett was very professional and thorough, and he taught me how to change and clean our filter and he thoroughly examined all the areas of our furnace that concerned me. I felt that this deal was worth my money, and we'll probably call on this company for future maintenance needs. The only complaint I have is that they booked the deal-specific coupon VERY far into the future, which is understandable but still a kind of crappy customer experience.

Rhett showed up on time. A very nice guy who did not try to sell me a new furnace, even though my furnace is 20 years old but still working well. He explained clearly what he was checking for. I was very satisfied with my previous furnace company, but because of the numerous A's Universal Mechanical has on Angie's list, and my positive experience with Rhett, I will probably continue using this company.

I bought the furnace tune up Angie's list deal. They weren't able to come out to service the unit for about a month and a half after I bought the deal, but they were here right on time on the scheduled date. The technician was courteous and thorough. Overall great experience.
