Was a little late but called to inform us. performed inspection and changed filter which we had on hand , vacuumed unit and was done in about 30 minutes.

This was a very good service, I was very pleased.

I keep my furnace pretty clean. So I had no issues that the technician needed to resolve. But Universal provided good, timely, professional and courteous service both at technician and office appointment level.

They did a great job. The service man did have to pick up parts during the time of the service. They stated they would not topically do that the same day. However, given my situation they were able to accommodate to my needs. I was more than pleased with the service. They were on time and professional.

I purchased the $79 Angie's List Big Deal for the furnace tune up and water heater check. Rhett arrived right on time and got to work. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly, exactly what I like to see when someone comes to work on my home. He even left a new furnace filter since the one in the furnace was in good shape. I will absolutely use Universal Mechanical next time I need anything for the furnace or water heater.

I did some comparison shopping and decided to hire UMC even though their price was higher than the other two companies I got bids from. The Trane furnance came with a 10 yr parts/labor warranty which was important to me. The estimator was very knowledgeable about the products and work required; he has also done installation/repair work for UMC. The installer was very good also. Both are employees of UMC and not contractors. The company is located 2 miles from my house and it has been there for a number of years: if anything goes wrong, I know where to find them. after the initial install of the furnance, I had a problem, which was somewhat anticipated, with airflow into one of my back rooms. UMC returned and for a reasonable fee, $200, they ran a separate duct from the furnance to service the back room registers which eliminated the problem. I had a little problem with scheduling the follow-up work but apart from that, appointments were kept and the timeline was followed.

The technician was very professional when he serviced the furnace. He said the furnace was in good shape with only normal wear. There was no upsell and he took time to answer all my questions.

Everything went great the service was great the service man was professional. He arrived a little late but he called a head of time to let me know that. The furnace ran very well after the cleaning. I had some drywall done in the basement and he showed me all the residue from that on the filters. He was there for over an hour I got more than my money's worth it was 80.00 well spent.

Pretty quick and easy - took less than an hour and no problems.

Very professional crew. Heat pump performs as advertised. Protected surrounding walls and floor before performing work. Cleaned up inside and outside completely. I would not even look around at the competition if I needed more work.

The service man showed up on time, was very courteous, and completed his work expeditiously. We have an old furnace, and it operated quietly and without flaw all winter. We'll have them again.

This is a very good and honest company. The technician provided this service at this home last summer also. I had been told by another heating company that I may need a new condensate pump in January of 2012. There bid was for $1,000.00, they are less than 3 miles from this home, the bid did not itemize or explain what they would do. Universal Mechanical Services tech explained what the process is for replacing and let me know how the home owner is able to purchase and install them self. I found a pump for less than $60.00 and will install my self. The honesty of this tech is commendable. I have two rental properties and will use this company for all properties in the future. On time, efficient, great communication. Found and brought to my attention a gas leak and improper coding on our vent ducts.

Excellent service at both sites. Very competent technician who knew what to do and went about his inspection in a professional and efficent manner. Recommend them highly.

Prompt, polite and good work. The deal was good value. The only negative was that they were going to follow up with a quote to install an extra air vent but never did.

Used a Big Deal for a heater checkup. The service was fine. The technician was knowledgeable and courteous. My only complaint was that it took several weks to schedule an appointment due to the volume of Big Deals.

Rhett was great. He explained what he was doing made a couple suggestions to help us maintain the equipment. The price was great! Told me when he'd be there - didn't give a 2-3 hour time frame - appreciate that.

It was awful. He was supposed to clean and change the filters. He showed up on time. He put a small filter in wrong, he said he would change it. He did the same thing on the other filter. He thought he had given us the right filter, but again, it was wrong. I called his company and told him how upset we were. The man called and said he would bring by the right filters and I told him not to bother with it.
