It was good. They did exactly what the big deal said. It was totally what I expected. The price was good and I was very happy. The people were very good. They were very responsive. In fact, he did some extra things that I didn't ask for.

Arrive promptly at the time appointed. Discussed the condition of my furnace. Looked up the model number and age on the internet with his pad. He cleaned the furnace and checked it's operation. I was very satisfied with his workmanship.

I had used Universal Mechanical in 2011 with mixed results, but when my gas furnace stopped two years later, I decided to call them again. This time the technician was exemplary. Ignacio was efficient and professional and he did the job right. He knew exactly what he was doing and clearly explained each step to me. He also discovered that my heating system was not in balance and he adjusted the air flow and gas flow to bring everything within specs. He did a great job. Based on this latest experience, I would not hesitate to use Universal Mechanical again.

I all went very well. I would call them again if we need to. But hopefully not soon enough.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it turned out uneventful. I was unaware as far as the furnace check out what all the detail were so it was probably my oversight. We had a slight whistling from one of the gas valve nozzles of my furnace which I don't believe was part of the deal. I thought it was just an overall inspection of the furnace, but it was primarily concentrated on the electrical, which was fine. I anticipated something different than what I purchased. The person who came out was 10 or 15 minutes late and did not call me.

I purchased a Big Deal for $59 for a furnace tune up and check. They came out checked it and everything was okay with it. I guess for the price I paid it was good, most HVAC companies charge $75 for a service fee.

Purchased a deal on Angie's List, and had Universal Mechanical come out to do a furnace tune-up and check on a 12-year old system in a house I had recently purchased. It turned out the heat transfer case was cracked, they recommended replacement of the system, shut off the gas to the unit and left.

when the technician came the furnace ignition was broken and he didn't do anything since there was no way to check it as the furnace could not be run. I got the ignition fixed my self the next day and asked them to inspect the furnace again at a later date when they have slots. They denied it and said cannot do it and asked to but the service again. This was very bad as the guy came and did nothing

Punctual, professional technician. Inspected furnace and gave me information about parts that may need to be replaced in the future. Helpful, informative, and fair.

Bought the big deal, but when I called the company to set up the appointment the earliest they could get someone to me was 8 weeks later - halfway through the heating season. I get it; they're like an airline with only a few of the bargain seats they promote. Wish I would have known that before I had to spend the money, I would not have purchased the deal form them. The service itself was fine. The tech arrived on time, was pretty quick, Told me what was happening with the furnace, gave me some recommendations and off he went.

Extremely well! The technician arrived about 30 minutes early; immediately went to work; and finished the job in less than an hour. He pointed out facts about my furnace that I was unaware of. I also learned it had not been adjusted properly by the last company that did the tune-up. The area was nicely cleaned up when the job was completed. (Very important to me.) It was a job well done! I couldn't ask for a better experience!

Totally cleaned out furnace, replaced filter, glad we got the same young man as last year.......very prompt and efficient. He even re-lit the fireplace pilot lite for the next tenants. I don't want to touch that type of thing. I will definitely use UMS again.

It went great. The fellow showed up with in the window that they said. He was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. I had questions about my fireplace as well. He said that my furnace was fine and he did not try to sell me extra stuff. He told me that I at the point that my furnace will need to be replaced. He told me not to be surprised if I need to replace it in the next few years. He was more informational. I was very pleased and he was very polite. I thought that it was an excellent price. They scheduled it right away. They gave me a call back right after I made the purchase. I plan to schedule them to do my fireplace. I would use them again.

We are happy with the service. They did what they offered in the big deal. They were fast. I think it wasn't a big thing, the price was fair, and they did what they offered. They did a good job.

I was out of town on a trip. My wife called and they came promptly. They installed a new furnace after only one day's delay. They arrived with the new furnace and installed it in our crawl space. We were particularly impressed with their professionalism. The installation included a programmable thermostat which they explained in detail. They came back in two weeks for a follow up check. The first trip out they did a general tune up of my furnace. However, the problem that had been stated at the time of scheduling, a water leak in my furnace, was not fixed. Was given a list of possible fixes and told that I would be called back with estimates. That did not happen. After about2 weeks I called PSE and they sent a rep out to look at the furnace. He quickly determined that the collection box needed to be replaced and recommended that I talk with a supervisor at U-M, which I did. They had to order the part needed which I was told would take about 2 weeks., I waited for the call but after 3 weeks I called them. They checked and said the part was in and we scheduled a time for them to do the repair. The technician arrived on time, went right to work, and finished the job in just a little over an hour. The furnace appears to be repaired and I am okay with the service, even tho they needed a bit of prodding. I wll deal with this company again. I was treated courtesly and kindly at all times and in the end received the repair that was needed.was

They were fast, professional, and replaced the bad motor in my furnace same day I called them.

They did a great job. The guy was very personable and thorough. He explained to me what he was going to do, what he did and what he found out at the end.

I like to buy the best and I love Trane furnaces so I went with Universal. They did an OK job.
