They're responsive and explain things well. Their pricing is reasonable, especially when you use their specials. They also have great customer service up front.

Upon their recommendation (following an oil change) my son took his 99 Jetta in to Redmond Werkshop to have the front brakes replaced. Unfortunately, the brakes worked no better AFTER the brake job than they did before (and quot;3% pad life remainingand quot;). This seemed a bit odd to him, but he's a young driver and already a bit jaded about Life, so figured that was Just The Way Things Are. He vowed never to return there, for anything, and didn't mention a thing to me about it until a couple of months later (he no longer lives at home). At that time I happened to drive his car one day and was shocked how poorly the brakes worked. They were about the same as the wimpy DRUM brakes on the 65 Ford Falcon of my youth. When I asked him, and quot;Didn't you just get the front brakes changed?and quot; he told me the whole story.
I encouraged him to contact Redmond Werkshop ASAP to have them investigate the problem and repair the brakes UNDER WARRANTY. He was convinced (jaded, remember?) that the warranty and quot;if there even IS oneand quot; had already expired, since it had been two months since the service, but I encouraged him to contact the shop ANYWAY. He eventually did and Redmond Werkshop came through in SPADES: They scheduled a time the following week for him to bring his car in, and fixed (whatever it was) in half a day, at NO CHARGE.
Redmond Werkshop stands behind their work and will 'make it right' if you give them the chance. This is a business that is intent on BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS (even have their own web presence that logs all your repairs, mileage, when it was done, etc, and send email reminders for upcoming scheduled service needed); they're not just out to make a quick buck from unsuspecting motorists.
P.S. I suspect that whoever did my son's shoddy brake job (if they even did one before) has either been severely disciplined or (more likely) is out on the street, now, looking for a job. Congratulations to Redmond Werkshop for earning a new Customer for Life!

Redmond Werkshop was recommended to us by a friend about 6 years ago. We've been taking our Audi there ever since. Audi's tend to be expensive to repair but what we really appreciate about the Werkshop is that they are honest with us as to how critical some of the repairs are. Sometimes we can't afford to repair every thing on the list, so they've been kind and honest in helping us with a general timeline so we can budget it. However when it's critical, they let us know. When we have something go wrong, we still drive it over to Redmond from Seattle. I only wish weekend service was an option, but perhaps being week day only allows them to be so great and personable.

I got an appointment quickly and the work was done fast. They'll set up a rental reservation (you pay) if you want to leave the car. The work seems to have been done corectly. Whether I would take the car back depends on whether I can find a better price at another shop. The price they charged is higher than any dealer I've gone to in the past. I compared this before tax to be fair.

My diesel Jetta TDI had a bad injector pump. They quoted a competetive price and overall quote, including the timing belt. They found issues with hoses rotten from leaking diesel fuel. My immediate thought was "Here we go, running up the repairs." but they were willing to changed at their cost, as I had no more budget left. So they were very flexible and good to to work with.

I think I spent about $150 the last time I used them. They were good and I was happy with them.

They handled the complete change-out in less than one-week in spite of having to remove the old ETM, ship it to XeMODeX, and install the rebuild when returned. The new digital ETM works perfectly and fixes a problem that Volvo denies. The S-80 continues to run very well since the ETM was replaced in June. We need these independent shops to keep our vehicles running economically!

The part for my Audi was the last one in the U.S. They did a pretty good job and I was happy with the overall experience that I had with them. They always meet their estimates right on the money. They are a little pricey but do offer quality work. They are not open on Fridays. They don't seem to respond very fast to my phone calls but that's probably due to the fact that they are so busy.
