This was about as bad as it gets.
I'm hoping that the finished product holds up, but only time can answer that question.  I can tell you that the process was an exercise in extreme frustration.
My project began just as the weather was changing making it a little tricky to find good days to pour concrete.  My driveway and existing concrete were demolished, then...nothing...for weeks.  Even trying to get a phone call returned was a challenge.  Sunny days came and went and no concrete, no contact from Jose.  Sometimes I would get placating text messages full of exclamation points...which is not helpful.  Occasionally small bits of work were done, and I could tell this because there were discarded coffe cups, water bottles, and various bits of debris in my flower beds.  All in all, it took him SIX WEEKS to complete the work.
At no time was I ever able to get a reliable answer as to whether or not someone would be working on my house.
The concrete was done in two pours several weeks apart (half the driveway on one pour, and half on another meaning I was still parking in the street and tripping over rebar trying to get to my house) so I now have a driveway that is half really dark grey and half light grey.  Maybe the colors will match up over time, maybe not.
They miscalculated how far down the old driveway they needed to cut, and ended up leaving an 8 inch gap between the street and the driveway.  Jose's idea of how to fix this was to pack gravel in it, so now I have a permanent maintenance issue instead of a driveway that smoothly flows to the street.
I had the house fully painted in August and they did not protect the paint when they poured so my house is now covered front and back, in concrete splatter. 
Part of this project was supposed to include the porch and a nice new front door.  I went up north to a door store suggested by Jose and found the perfect one - it was a floor model of a custom door and was even the right color!!  Yeah!  I went across the street to a planned meeting with Jose and we discussed the project and I told him about the door.  I wrote him a check and he said he would go back across the street and deal with the door.  Wednesday of that week I get a voicemail from the store.  Jose did NOT go to the store, nor did he tell me he didn't go.  Another person had come in and wanted to take the door with them, so they sold it.  If I wanted the same door it would be $600 more than the floor model I had seen.
The final clean-up.  Gads.  Jose said they would come and clean up the mud, equipment, piles of rocks etc. on a certain day.  I came home a little early that day.  No Jose, still piles of rocks, dirt, concrete splatter all over my house, etc.  I messaged him and got yet another email covered with exclamation points saying they were on their way!!!  Uh-huh. Sure you were. They were cleaning up until after dark and did a mediocre job.  I still have piles of rocks, mud and concrete splatter all over my house.
There are many competent, responsive contractors out there.  Do your homework and choose someone else.
