Great workers, very reliable and professional

Hello, Unfortunately I was unable to follow up with this sooner since my wife and I got married on Monday and then left town to celebrate our honeymoon. Our experience with this booking and this professional was less than adequate and we are hoping to speak to someone about it in more detail. Upon booking the professional, the only questions we were asked was whether or not we would be providing the paint â which we were. However, there were no questions regarding any other supplies that would be needed. We had some painting supplies, but figured since we were booking a â professionalâ painter, they would come with basic supplies. On the initial questionnaire, we also marked that we were planning on having two rooms painted. However, the professional arrived and showed me that his end of the booking said we only needed one room painted. We live in an older house with plaster walls and years of paint layers. I communicated more than once that I knew the paint job would not be perfect, given that the house was so old and there were areas where the older paint jobs had cracked, the paint had dripped down by the baseboards, etc. I emphasized that we wanted to improve the look of the rooms but had realistic expectations about there not being crisp lines or perfect trim. The professional who arrived was very kind and was super eager to do a good job. However, after assessing the job that we wanted completed, he informed me that he would have to go to the paint/hardware store to get the stuff he needed. Given that the booking was only 3.5 hours (a length of time that was autogenerated by your service) I was worried that this would take away even more time from the short amount of time we had booked. I asked him how this worked since there was no protocol listed in the booking or on the website (does he pay? Do I pay? Do I give him my payment info?) This seemed less than ideal since we had already spent 30-45 minutes discussing the job and what he needed. So I was worried about losing another hour of the booked time â leaving him with virtually no time to actually paint the room. The painter really did try his best but was grossly underprepared for the job at hand â and in all honesty I think this was largely the result of poor preparation on the questionnaire/booking end. Ultimately, he only ended up painting one corner of one room. I am now left with two rooms that were fully prepared to be painted (furniture moved and drop cloths put down) and one room that is not even close to being done, and one room that has not been touched at all. We had to leave town the next day and will have to problem solve what to do next as soon as we get home. Overall, this was our first experience using your service and we are beyond disappointed. And while I was underwhelmed by the quickness of his work and his preparation, I really do feel like neither of us were fully informed on what to expect. In summary, I would like to request a full refund for this service. However, I do not think it would be appropriate to not pay the professional, since he really did do the best he could with the very minimal information he had. Please advise how we should move forward.
