A Dream Deck and Patio - A Phenomenal Experience with Deck Envy! I am absolutely thrilled to share my incredible experience with Deck Envy and the outstanding work they did on our new Trex deck and screened-in patio! From start to finish, this project has been a delight, and I cannot express enough how satisfied we are with the final result. When we began our search for a contractor, we received several quotes, but ultimately, it was a tough decision between Johnny and Richardo of Deck Envy and one other highly-rated company. While competitive, they weren't the least expensive option, but we had learned from past experiences that going the cheap route often led to dissatisfaction. We chose Deck Envy because they offered us exceptional value for our investment, and felt confident in their ability to deliver a top-notch product. From the moment we engaged with Deck Envy, the experience was nothing short of fantastic. Johnny helped us with the design and material options to make our vision come to life and the quietly competent Richardo was on hand to ensure the feasibility of our design choices. Once construction began, Lucio and the entire deck crew were both friendly and professional. I was especially impressed watching them working on the installation of the waterproofing system; they really took their time to ensure we would have proper drainage so our patio would stay nice and dry. It was clear that they genuinely cared about our project and were dedicated to providing us with high-quality workmanship and a finished product we would love . Once the deck construction was completed, the team took a short break between Christmas and New Year's, and that's when the stone crew started their work. Led by the talented Fabian, he and his crew truly elevated the beauty of our outdoor space with their exceptional craftsmanship. While we had initially considered a less expensive stamped concrete patio, once we saw the finished product, it was clear that we had made the right choice. The flagstone is simply gorgeous! Communication was also exceptional throughout the entire process. Johnny always made sure that we were always in the loop. He provided regular updates and ensured we knew exactly when to expect the arrival of the crew. This level of transparency and accountability was greatly appreciated and contributed to a stress-free experience. Choosing Deck Envy for our deck and screened-in patio project was undoubtedly the best decision we could have made. Not only did they provide excellent value for our investment, but they also delivered a level of service and workmanship that truly exceeded our highest expectations. PS: I was going to write this review right after completion of construction, but my husband suggested we wait until we were able to use the deck and patio since it was constructed during the winter. Well, it is now June and we have been thoroughly enjoying this new beautiful space! I did not think it was possible, but we are even more thrilled! Not to mention, we get TONS of compliments from the neighbors!

Working with Deck Envy was wonderful. It is a small business, so Johnny and Ricardo are passionate, genuine, and really give you the best value for high quality - making your vision come to life! Alfonso and the crew showed up on time daily and worked so hard through hot days and tough weather. They were nice and extremely detail oriented. They came on Saturday to make up time delayed from thunderstorms to ensure our deck was ready for our holiday celebration! We couldnâ t be happier with our final product!

In addition to our deck remodel project, we wanted a new stone patio to really finish out the back yard space and a concrete slab to provide a secure foundation for our new hot tub. Johnny, Ricardo, Fabian, and the entire Deck Envy team did an amazing job designing and delivering an amazing patio â turning our old, outdated back yard into a new functional and usable space. Deck Envy is a top-notch company for any deck, patio, and stone project â and we will not hesitate to recommend them to our neighbors, friends, and family. In working with Johnny on our patio/walkway design, Johnny did a fantastic job of offering ways we could take advantage of the natural rock formations in our backyard to lay out the patio to blend in with the free form shapes. Johnny developed a wonderful design that incorporated a space for our new hot tub that kept the natural, free form design look of the rest of the backyard. Johnny's team provided detailed drawings and images for our HOA approval process â and it was clear Deck Envy would be easy to work with, extremely reliable, and deliver an amazing stone patio/walkway. As with our deck remodel, project manager Ricardo did a fantastic job of securing the permits, communicating the requirements to the crew, and ensuring everything was done in a timely and quality manner. He did a great job of ensuring we were always up to speed on the status of the project and next steps. For the construction, Fabian and his crew did an amazing job building the stone walkway â exceeding our expectations with the finished project by even reassembling our old stone wall that had to be repositioned. Fabian and his crew ensured that the hot tub concrete slab was sound and able to withstand the hot tub weight â poured in a way to flow and connect to the new stone walkway. The overall look is absolutely stunning, and we couldnâ t be more pleased with our new backyard oasis.

Our deck remodel experience with Deck Envy was amazing in all aspects â and we would like to throw a big shout out to Johnny, Ricardo, Lucio, and the entire team for a job well done! We will not hesitate to refer Deck Envy to friends and to hire them again for any future outdoor space remodels. We hired Deck Envy to help us remove our old rotted wooden deck and replace it with new composite materials, creating a space for our family to enjoy the outside environment. Johnny was absolutely amazing to work with on the conceptualization of our new deck - listening to what design we were looking for, and offering suggestions on how we could better utilize the space. To support our HOA process, Johnny's team provided detailed drawings and images that we presented to our boards for approval - which made what could have been a difficult process easy and seamless. Our interactions with Johnny in the planning stage really made it clear that Deck Envy would be easy to work with, extremely reliable, and deliver top quality craftsmanship â to which they proved us right on every front. At the time of project initiation, Ricardo (an amazing project manager) did a fantastic job of securing the permits, laying out the requirements, and ensuring all items were completed to our satisfaction. Ricardo did a great job of communicating with us throughout each step in the process â even working with Fairfax County to explain certain aspects to ensure we didnâ t encounter any code issues. Lucio and his crew did an amazing job with the craftsmanship of the new deck â exceeding our expectations with the finished project. Lucioâ s crew ensured that our new deck was constructed soundly, level, and with ample support (our old deck bowed and was unstable) â able to support new furniture, fire pit, and dining table/chairs.

Deck Envy was incredible to work with. Johnny and Ricardo are seasoned professionals who deliver incredible workmanship. They made it so easy to obtain HOA approval and took care of all permitting from the county. The construction team was timely, professional, and skilled and Ricardo provided daily updates and responded immediately to any questions and made adjustments as needed. We couldnâ t be happier and recommend this company enthusiastically and without reservation.

Rebuilding a deck with composite materials under two different HOA guidelines is hard work. Johnny and Ricardo from Deck Envy worked tirelessly to follow the guidelines, pull permits, obtain multiple inspections, and move schedules for the HOA review cycles and inclement weather in various situations. There were decisions to be made at various points, and they worked hard to accommodate all of my requests and changes. The deck was rebuilt above my expectations and within the time estimates given. I was informed through the process each step. Though I doubt I will need a new deck, I would use them again and will recommend them to others.

Our deck turned out fantastic and was completed on schedule. Ricardo was a very responsive project manager and supervised the work closely. Alfonso and Fabian did a great job as crew leads for the deck and patio work as well. The quoting and contracting process also went smoothly with the co-owner Johnny. He also prepared a very comprehensive set of drawings and support for my HOA application. I would use their services again if I had need.

Johnny was great to work with in the quoting process. He was very patient and worked a design for my deck and stone patio that I love! Ricardo was an excellent project manager and the job was performed very quickly and site cleaned every night! Lucio and crew did a fabulous job on my mostly composite deck! Also Fabian and crew build a stone patio that is absolutely beautiful!! Overall I am so pleased and would highly recommend Deck Envy!!!

Our Deck is amazing. The colors, quality, and finish makes the deck look like it was always supposed to be a part of the house. The entire process from start to finish was top notch, hands down the best. Johnny, the owner, gave us great options and guided us through the process and set clear expectations and timelines. Jonathan and his crew were friendly, professional and great at their job. Ricardo, our project manager listened to our concerns and course corrected some small items during the build. I have not seen any other company that installs horizontal railings nor a deck skirt with the beautiful white PVC boards. Now I have a deck and a shed underneath my deck and porch. If you are going to build a deck you have to go with Deck Envy.

The co-owner Johnny was incredible to work with from first phone call to finished product. Very professional and honest while also making sure you are comfortable with the design, work and price. His stone patio installation team led by Fabian was the best group of guys. Working from home, I saw their attention to detail paired with timeliness every single day plus they were always super kind and friendly too. Just a really great experience for me and my fiancé with our first large home contractor project of a new backyard stone patio. We will work with Deck Envy again for the front of the house walkways for sure!

Deck Envy did a fantastic job with my second-story deck! Highly recommend working with them. Johnny is responsive and provided us with a very reasonable quote shortly after meeting us and scoping the project. Since our project was small, his crew was able to squeeze us in within two weeks of us signing the contract. They worked fast, cleaned up well and were such a group of friendly guys. Johnny, Ricardo, Johnathon, and the installation crew from Deck Envy were awesome. Johnny came out on a Saturday evening and took the time with my wife and I to go over all of our different options. He was the only person to bring samples to show the products he installed. His pricing beat every other quote we had gotten from several places. After we signed the contract, Johnny and Ricardo were very responsive to our request for progress updates on permitting. Once the permits were approved, the install team knocked our deck out in less than a week. They were very profession, cleaning up at the end of every workday! Their work is top notch and every detail was taken into account to ensure our deck is perfect. They were very kind in dealing with our 9 month old puppy who wanted them to stop building to play. I can't say enough about how spectacular their workmanship is. If you are looking for someone to build you the deck of your dreams, look no further. Ricardo was an excellent Project Manager and Alfonso and his team did an excellent job with the demo of the old deck and install of my new Trex deck. I was very particular about how I wanted everything to look and they took extra time every step of the way to make sure that I was pleased with the progress. They even did something special for my dog by the dog door to incorporate that into the design. The sunken hot tub looks amazing. I would highly recommend Deck Envy to anyone looking for a custom deck design . They are fantastic!

Of all the things they did with excellence, value for the money was best! They exceeded my expectations and provided an excellent construction at a competitive or lower price than the three other bids I got. Construction roadblocks were met with consultations and excellent solutions, without complaint or comment by Ricardo, the project manager, and Alfonso and the crew just kept on working until the job was done. I had been dreading this project for years, but Deck Envy were quick, courteous, and professional, making the process totally without hassle. They helped with planning and the HOA, took care of county inspections, and registered the materials warranty for me. I couldn't be happier!

Work was done quickly ( basically 3 days to tear down old deck and replace with Trex ) and deck looked beautiful. Crew arrived when they said and cleAned up each day. The contractor was always in touch via text and responded with any concerns.

We had an excellent experience using Deck Envy, LLC. We were looking to replace our 30 year old wooden deck with a new composite deck. We obtained several quotes but had an immediate rapport with Johnny. He was knowledgeable and straight-forward but not pushy like some of the other companies were. Johnny quoted us a very fair and reasonable price and kept in touch throughout the permitting process so we knew how the project was proceeding. The deck construction began on time, just when Johnny estimated it would. Ricardo and their crew were professional, polite, and diligent. They showed up when they said they would, were excellent craftsmen, and kept the area clean. Johnny and Ricardo were also very flexible when we changed the scope of the project a little and added more work for them. Our new deck is beautiful and we have received numerous compliments about it. We had such an incredibly positive experience with Johnny and Deck Envy. From start to finish, Johnny was responsive, above board, and straight forward (no grimey sales tactics here). Johnny helped us with the RA approval process, providing us with everything we needed the same day that we requested it. Everyone showed up when they said they would, made sure we were satisfied every step of the way, and built us a BEAUTIFUL flagstone patio in a really impressive timeframe. It was obvious Fabian and his installation crew knew exactly what they were doing- and we are so happy with their craftsmanship and professionalism. Highly recommend to anyone in the market (as newer homeowners with lots of recent contractor experiences- the skill level and responsiveness of Johnny and his crew really stand out).

Alfonso and Ramon did a great job and got straight to work. Took out my old falling apart wood deck and installed a nice new Trex composite deck. We appreciated Johnnyâ s customer service, it took us almost 5 months to decide which company to use, but we are glad we went with Deck Envy.

They tore down my old deck and built a beautiful replacement in just a handful of days. The whole process was faster and smoother than I could have imagined. I am very happy with my experience with Deck Envy. I requested a quote for a new deck and heard back from Johnny that same day. We made a plan for the build and a timeframe for starting/completing was given. The deck was recently completed and is extremely high quality. Lucio and the crew did an incredible job completing the project. They finished the deck very quickly and with great quality. They even worked an extra day on the weekend to complete the deck a day earlier than it would have been. A very easy company to work with and would definitely recommend if you are looking to have a new deck built or repaired. Thank you to Lucio and his crew/Johnny for their great work!
