All repairs were completed as promised and on time. The car ran very well following the repairs, and Chris was helpful in making recommendations for ways to keep the car running smoothly and avoiding the type of problems I'd created by letting the car sit idle for so long. I definitely plan to use Penninsula Mobile again and have recommended them to friends.
Description of Work
My car had been sitting idle for more than a year due to engine trouble. I had it towed to Penninsula Mobile Auto repair for an assessment and estimate. Chris Byers did a thorough check and gave me an estimate for repairs that sounded fair so i authorized the work. The repairs included draining and cleaning the gas tank, fuel lines, fuel injection system and injectors, replacing damaged spark plug wiring and other minor repairs.

Miraculously, Chris was able to diagnose the intermittent problem while fixing the unrelated problem that had prevented it starting. Were other, larger, shops had failed, Chris solved the problem. More than seven months later, the car is running great. I will definitely continue to rely on Chris and continue to recommend him to friends. For minor problems, Chris will visit your car at your home or other location, and I keep his number handy in case I'm stuck on the roadway someday.
Description of Work
My car wouldn't start. I'd been having problems for years with an intermittent problem that caused the car to periodically begin sputtering and coughing, refusing to go faster than 35 mph. I'd had it into the factory shop and to foreign car specialty shops, but no one could find the problem. I had been satisfied with the work Chris Byers, at Penninsula Mobile, had done in the past, so I had the car towed back to his shop.

The car was in such poor condition it could not be worked on in my driveway. It had been sitting, virtually unused, for several years. Chris Byers checked everything out, purged and cleaned the gas tank, gas lines and injectors, replaced old wiring and filters. He had the car running smoothly in only a couple of days. He was fair and pleasant to deal with. I recommend Chris for general and emergency auto repairs.
