Fantastic! I have a go-to electrician now! I called to schedule repair of a 110V circuit that I burned up (my fault) and get an estimate for the installation of a 240V outlet. Mike and his team gave me *same day* service, arrived punctually, repaired my problem efficiently, and said that they could install my new outlet with just 30 minutes of additional work. The price charged was less than I expected, and the work was great. The electricians made very little mess and cleaned up (perfectly) the slight dust from sawing drywall. I recommend Mike's Electrical Service to anyone who needs reliable work done quickly! Nice job!

They even went to complicated route just to please me, through our very tight crawlspace. 2other electrician that gave us quote they plan to put conduit on the exterior siding of the house which I didn't want to, coz I don't like the look of it. And I didn't heard any cussing unlike my fence installer last year! (not from Angie's List)

Mike and his crew are fantastic!  I live in Richmond and my mother lives in Virginia Beach.  I called for my mom and Mike was wonderful about keeping us both in the loop on scope of work, cost and estimated duration for the job.  He spoke to her very courteously and then called me to relay the same information, so we could decide if the quote worked for us. After we gave the approval, he got started right then and there! They are polite and very efficient. They had everything in their scope of work completed in 3-4 hours and my mom's electricity worked like it should!  Good job guys!

Using the form on their web site, I submitted a request for a quote around 8am.  Within 30 minutes I had an email response with an estimate for the first two items on my list.  Within the following hour 'Little' Mike called me to verify and convey the same information supplied in the email and asked if I would like them to come out today.
They showed up about two hours later.  They were professional, courteous, explained what they were doing, and got to work.  They were finished with the two projects in just about an hour.  They did a great job with the work and clean up after themselves, you would not have known they had cut a hole in the drywall to install the new kitchen switch.  I was very pleased!
We discussed the hot tub installation and he provided an estimate for the necessary electric supply.  I was so please with the experience that I asked him for a quote on some other future projects within the house.  They were all reasonably priced so once we are ready to move forward with them I will definitely call them again.

The workers that showed up did a great job. He got it all squared away and now we have heaters in our sunroom! They told me that my breaker box needed to be relocated, because it is inside the home and should be outside. I was satisfied with the job and with their charges. I would consider using them again for future jobs.

I found Mike's Electrical Service by chance and boy am I glad I did! I live out of town and my mother's electricity stopped working in the middle of the summer. I quickly looked up some electrical services and started calling around for quick help. Mike, the owner, answered the phone and politely took the time to understand our situation. He was able to visit my mother's house within 2 hours and diagnose the problem as a bad panel box. He explained that if chose to complete the repair with him, his hourly fee would transfer to the total balance of the panel box. I accepted and he was out the next day to install the new box. He is very efficient! He is also a great communicator. I asked if he would update me throughout the process and he called with me every step of the way-when he would arrive, updates on how the work was going and estimated time of completion, etc. Although I was not there when he made the repairs, my mother said he was a very polite and professional man.
He is a fair, honest and knowledgeable tradesman and a straight-shooter as far as communication - no sales pitch - which is always appreciated. His price for immediate service and the repair was beyond reasonable for quality work. GREAT JOB! We plan to call him back soon to take care of some other interior issues.

Everything went really well.

Very Well. They were very prompt and professional and completed the job quickly.

This is not the first time i've used this company and I trust their work. They notice little things and make recommendations that ulitmately provide a better than planned result. They were on time, careful with my fixture and my hardwood floors. As they were progressing, Mike explained what was being done. Dont ask me how, but they also noticed that a couple of GFI fixtures in the house werent working and replaced them at no additional cost. Mike's Electrical is not the cheapest but you get every bit of what you pay for. FYI = actual cost was exactly as quoted.

By the way, they came back the following week install recessed lighting in my master bedroom. Mike recommended a layout that i hadnt considered and he was right. I love it! Again, i got more than i expected. Ok, on this job, actual exceed quote by $30 because i wanted additional switchs/controls.

Mike's charged me a fortune. They do a good job and respond quickly but I was flabergasted when I saw the price. I feel like he took advantage of me.

This is the third time I've used this company. This time, they installed a thermostatically controlled exhaust fan in my garage. Mike came to my home a few weeks before to asess the job and provide an estimate. After pricing the fans to meet my specific request, he provided detailed explanation of the work and time required. Arrived on time and even helped move my junk out of the way. Installed the fan, then replaced a bad outlet at no additional cost. Finally they swept the garage and left it cleaner than when they arrived. Well worth the perceived high cost of electical work!

For the record, they also did all the wiring for two bathroom renovations. Each time, doing a little more than requested, extra outlets, installing light fixtures (not included in quote) and always leaving the work area clean.

Two electricians came to perform the task. After explaining the issues and jobs I wanted done, they went back into their truck for about 5 minutes to give a quote. They explained the cost of the quote and that the prices would be different if they were performed individually. They started work immediately. About 4 hours later, they were completed. They showed what they had done and talked through some of the things I needed to know like which new outlets were on which lines. The only issue I found with the work after they left was one of the outdoor GFI outlets they had installed had a broken cover. When i tried to lift it, the entire cover came off in my hands and I saw the plastic latch was chipped off and the associated pieces on the ground. A minor non-issue is I wish they would have given an estimate of how long the work would take to do in addition to a cost estimate. I'm sure they would have told me though had I asked. On the plus side, I was pleasantly surprised when I found they did a few extra things that I wasn't expecting. In creating 2 new outlets for garage door openers, they rewired one of the garage door openers to use a much shorter plug than the longer extension cable that was already on it.

I was happy that they came out the same day to do the work and do it in an efficient and timely manner. I am happy with the results and we will call on them again for future work.

Mike was very knowledgeable with what needed to be done. It was a pretty simple job for him and took about an hour or so to finish the job. He cleaned up after himself and I checked the cleanliness, it was satisfactory and I do recommend.
