It?s hard to come across well-mannered, excellence-centered, certified professionals these days. I?d interviewed nearly a dozen kitchen designers, consulted with a couple more, when trying to get a decent just in time for my daughter?s big day and the subsequent celebrations that?d follow. I needed space but that was not to mean I?d compromise on the looks and consider any hollow ideas. Talking to Dulles Kitchen and Bath was different. Johan paid attention, listening carefully and noting all the important stuff, and provided us with a design with a promise to not exceed my budget or even the schedule because they were so crucial tome. The new layout was innovative; Johan has made improvements on how the kitchen can be expanded and the much-needed storage space created. Coupled with the showroom to see which material would match our desired color scheme, I?d say the preliminary discussion round was better than anticipated and I was encouraged to have a showstopper right in our house only. I wasn?t disappointed by the way they managed their work either. Johan was often, if not always, there to monitor the progress and to answer any queries I had satisfactorily. The team too had an understanding of what was required of them. They weren?t rowdy, dirty, late, or inefficient in their work irrespective of whether they were being supervised or not. Any problem was resolved quickly. Modernizing a kitchen is half design though; the second important part being the quality materials used during the complete renovation process including plumbing, electrical, and plastering. I am happy to entertain in this beautiful kitchen. Even the guests appreciate it. If there be any remodeling job at my place or a friend?s, I?d be happy to hire ? or recommend ? A mutual friend recommended Dulles Kitchen and Bath for their workmanship. We were assigned Ali and his group of workers who, from the first day of consultation to wrapping up the project and even coming over afterwards to see if we weren?t experiencing problems, were completely opposite to our previous experience. Ali was very cooperative. He began by asking us about the kind of design and budget we had in mind. Seeing how we were willing to spend a few extra bucks for the right accessories that would enhance the functionality, we were offered some sample designs. We selected and the work started. Their efficiency impressed us; their friendliness made us eager to approach and learn more about the process while they answered all our questions. The kitchen was demolished so we even had plumbers and electricians coming over. Imagine our surprise when there were no complaints from the neighbors the whole time! They were that careful. With the water and electricity running, a new and trendy flooring, cabinets, windows, and countertops were installed. The materials were customized to match the appliances too. We couldn?t wait to start using it. You guys are simply the best in town and we?d happily suggest for anyone who seeks a perfect, aesthetically appealing and functional kitchen to hire you.

My experience with Dulles Kitchen & Bath was great. I am so happy and satisfied with the job they did remodeling my kitchen. The whole process, including the estimate, 3D designs, demolition, setting up the new cabinets and counter, and the response to our concerns, has been very professional. I decided to write this review because I believe good jobs should be highlighted for future references and I want to show my wife?s and my appreciation. Approximately three months ago, I decided to redesign my kitchen. I started my search through the internet, looking at Google yelp etc. I am really busy with my job so I didn't have time to go to showrooms and compare the market in person. During my search, Dulles Kitchen & Bath came up on google along with some other companies. I wanted to keep my options open so I made some appointments with different companies too. They all came to my house and took measurements. Coming to my house was my first in person interaction and informed my first impressions of these companies. One of them showed up late and the other couldn?t see me at the times I could take off from work, however, Dulles worked with my schedule and showed up on time at my door. I took that as a first good sign, but I still wanted to see numbers and options from the other companies. I received a couple of proposals; some of them had a really low price but the companies weren't professional at all, so I felt like it would be too risky and end up costing me more in the end. Trust is so important with these types of projects. Some other chain companies were way out of my budget. I wanted something high end, which lasts for a lifetime, but I had a moderate to medium budget. The bigger chain companies told me I was asking too much for too little. The only place I found that was professional and offered the high quality work within my budget was Dulles Kitchen & Bath. They sent me renderings and options, they listened to our concerns and most importantly understood them, and worked with the best available job start day for us. When the job started the designer Johan who worked with us from the beginning showed up at the door with his crew and the project manager Emre. Emre did a great job during the construction time, he was a perfect bridge between us and their working crew. He informed me with every step what they had been doing, from plumbing to tiling to cabinet set up. That made me feel secure and gave me a sense of control over the whole process. Of course we had little problems and setbacks with the job which is reasonable but Emre would communicate with me to give me updated and options on how to adjust to whatever unanticipated set back we encountered so we could move on quickly to get the job done. The result is fantastic! I?ve been writing this review sitting at the island in my kitchen and I am so happy with the outcome. I don?t know if small things make me happy but I know the details make the difference between good and perfect. This is exactly what I envisioned. If you read this far I hope it has been helpful for your decisions too, because I?ve suffered with so many wrong choices in maintaining my house while renovating my bathroom and roof. The appointment was made quickly after buying the coupon through Angie's List. The gentleman who came out was prompt, courteous, and did not take very long to measure everything. His first round of design ideas did not match what I had asked for. I wanted to remove my center island and he had it still there. After asking for other ideas and sending him pictures of what I was looking for, he came back with better designs. There was no follow up. I wasn't sure he measured correctly and with lack of follow up, I decided not to use the firm for the remodel. I was satisfied with paying $49 for some ideas, it was a good way to test drive this firm.

We were extremely pleased with the end product. Alex and his team impressed us with their professionalism, eye to detail, and guidance. They arrived promptly each day, were very curtious, and worked very hard to minimze the impact these major projects had on our day to day life. Alex made numerous suggestions that really improved the outcome of the project. Dulles was the lowest price quoted out of the three contractors we looked at, but I feel like I probably got a higher level product than the offers made by the other two contractors. The only reason I put a B for price, is that I feel their initial estimate might have been a little under on allowances (we went about $5-7K over budget). I would definitely work with Dulles Kitchen and Bath again when we look at renovating our two remaining bathrooms, and would not hesitate to recommend them to friends looking to remodel.

Johan showed up on time for our Saturday morning appointment to discuss a full kitchen remodeling. He was very polite and took lots of time to carefully consider our requests. As promised, three days later he emailed me an estimate along with 3D images of how our new kitchen would look using his designs. Ultimately we chose to go with a different contractor because of price, but I would certainly consider working with Johan in the future.

Ali came by to give me an estimate on a guest bath remodel. Arrived on time, listened but took no preliminary measurements or pictures. Estimate came thru promptly with a link for a medicine cabinet option. Estimate had no details for products to be used or costs of products just deliverables and overall cost estimate of project. This appears to be pretty typical of bath/kitchen remodeling companies but not something I feel uncomfortable agreeing to without knowing what makes up the estimate and what types of materials were projected for the estimate. Without knowing this, you have no idea whether your costs are going to go significantly up from the estimate.

not well. company could not work with the $30K budget and would not provide detailed breakout of remodel estimate. i was not comfortable signing a contract with this company. 3-d images provided were not worth the time/money as they were made using some other design that was not suited to our tastes and company was not willing/able to adjust the picture to provide us with an image of what our kitchen would look like using the materials selected. overall, a waste of time.

A couple weeks back I had decided to shift out of my house to a small apartment. Recently divorced, I didn?t want the memories surrounding me. But before I put it on sale and downsized, one of my colleagues suggested that I improved the condition, make it less personalized, and make it more appealing. I think he might have meant it in terms of doing away with the overwhelming dreary atmosphere; anyways, it was a good idea. To get started with the remodeling, I called in Dulles Kitchen and Bath. Ali was the project manager and designer who came over to my place. After having inspected all the rooms, he sat and discussed with me in detail what I wanted. Since I didn?t want to spend a lot of money, his recommendation was to focus on the major parts of the house only, namely the kitchen and the bathroom. According to his expert opinion, I had already maintained the property well, but these needed an upgrade to make anyone interested. I liked how there wasn?t any hint of sexist or patronizing terms used in the conversation. Once I agreed to the designs his team came up with, a quotient and work schedule was drawn up for my convenience before the work began. Even the workers were like him ? punctual, respectful (of both me and my property), and efficient in their tasks. The whole process was completed on time and without any hassle. While I was happy with the replacements they had made, the ones in bath in particular impressed me most. The quality and colors of the materials used for cabinetry, lighting, toilets, tiles, and showers, had turned it into a luxury I never knew was possible in my budget. Plus, it wasn?t as if attention to appearance made them overlook and not deliver on the functionality aspect. I hope my review for their services convinces others looking for certified and licensed professionals too. Thanks to Ali and his team, the house fetched me a good price.

I?d like to begin by saying that even though I?m not a perfectionist, I do like my things streamlined and in order. So when I shifted to a new home that was conveniently near my workplace, I was more than disappointed to see that the previous owner had left the secondary powder rooms in bad shape. It wasn?t anything that a DIY job could fix, so I started looking for a trustworthy one-stop shop serving in the area and stumbled across the Dulles Kitchen and Bath. My project designer was Johan. The fact that here was one team that had such excellent communication, arriving promptly, addressing each of my needs and supportive regarding any confusions I had, and respecting my time and telling me in advance if there?d be a delay in the process, increased the expectations I had of them. Having Dulles Kitchen and Bath remodel the place was a very good experience for me. The way they handled everything from design to installation, and final touch-ups done efficiently and professionally, made me comfortable and confident about the product. Also, I was happy that they prioritized my preferences and incorporated adjustments that needed immediate attention into a tight schedule as we went through. Johan was always there for routine quality inspection and management. Surprisingly, they never left mess around at the end of the day to trouble me both in and outside the bathroom, another thing that made me glad I hired them. With new marble countertops, tile, shower surround and tub from their range, the remodeling project completely changed the secondary bathroom in my new home to how I imagined it to be. I give them 5 out of 5 stars and will definitely be using their services in future if the need ever arises.

Great. Company came out and gave an estimate. Later the same day, worker came and took final measurements. Three days later came installed counters, sink and holes for faucet. Left area clean and removed all trash

In summary: professional, proficient, customer focused, no upselling, accommodating, listen, delivered timely, and exceeded my expectations. I am very happy with my countertops and my interactions with Ali. I phoned Dulles Kitchen and Bath on March 9 to obtain an estimate for a quick installation of countertops in my kitchen and master bath. Ali Koparan, the project manager, sent Johan to perform a preliminary measure the next morning and I received a written estimate at the end of the day. I had a few questions on the estimate and both Ali and Johan responded thoroughly and quickly to my inquiries. Based on the responses, I decided to move forward with Dulles Kitchen and Bath for this project. Ali met me at the granite warehouse on March 12 so that I could select the type of granite. I was a little overwhelmed with this process because of the many choices to select from. Ali was very patient and provided many helpful hints to help me narrow down the choices. After this he returned to my home with the samples and provided additional insights on how each of the final choices might look with my existing cabinets and flooring. On March13, Ali arranged to have his fabricator come to my home to complete the final measurements and templates. On March 18, my counter tops were installed by Ali's crew. The installation took approximately 4 hours from start to finish. The fabrication was very neat and clean, they did not mess up my recently painted. Ali accompanied the installers to my home and returned after they completed to work for a quality check. Part of the check was to run water in the sinks and monitor for any leaks. He found a leak and ask his plumber to return and this problem was immediately fixed. A few days later he checked in to make sure there was no further leaking and to make sure everything was still okay. I was very satisfied with the work of done by this company and especially the team of folks that I came in contact with. I would definitely use them again for any future projects.

I bought an Angie's List deal for $50 for a 3D rendering of bathroom remodel. Ali was prompt and professional. I showed him the space and discussed some of my ideas with him for the remodel. He also provided some ideas as well and said that he would provide two designs. He took measurements and photos. The entire meeting took about 30 minutes. He emailed me the designs two days later. The renderings were not quite what I expected them to be - more gray scale and basic - but definitely gave me a good idea of what the remodel would look like and worthwhile.

I've updated this review in order to reflect Dulles K&B's customer service in light of the original review. I was contacted by DKB the following day to apologize and they offered to address my issues by following up with a quote. While this was no longer necessary as I have moved forward with a different contractor, I appreciated DKB''s quick response and desire to make things right, and they assured me that the original employee is no longer with the company, as he had several complaints against him. I do, however, think that continuity of customer service during employee changeover is an important reflection upon a business, and so have changed their grade to what I think is fair for my overall experience. ---------- We are in the process of adding a second small bathroom to our house. Dulles is one of the contractors we contacted and similar to another contractor we had, after coming to our house to ostensibly do measurements for a quote, never actually sent us anything. Our bathroom project is small and I have since learned that there are businesses who are not interested in taking small projects. If this is the case, Dulles should have just been upfront with us instead of wasting our time, having my husband take time off work to meet with one of their employees, only to not ever contact us. It's unprofessional and I will not be recommending their services to others.

I already had my idea of how I wanted my master bathroom look like and looked for a contractor that could work with me. I contacted and visited three remodeling companies which had good reviews and were located near our house on the Angie's list. Dulles Kitchen and Bath (DKB)'s price was the best out of all and was willing to work with me. Here is what I like about this company. 1. Willingness to listen and work with me - I did not find style of vanity I wanted, so I drew a picture, then Johan quickly found one on the web. There were many requests and they were executed. 2. Willingness to provide suggestions, and not to be pushy - the color of the wall to how high I wanted on the shower head, etc. 3. Service and work provided sincerely and honestly - workers showed me how things were in our bathroom after ripping it out, and explained how they were going to make it work. If workers was not sure to install what I have provided, they made sure it was done right by having an expert come in, and much more. 4. Our contact person, Johan, was always courteous and quick to answer my questions. 5. (This one goes with #2) The actual remodeling team worked very hard and I was worried at one point if they ever took any break. They would always call me before they arrived every day. They also had a great suggestions if I ask them. They also made sure how I wanted things to be done or let us know what I need to get prior to the project. 6. The site manager, Ali, contact person, Johan, or other people from the company came and checked how things were going every day. 7. Our actual remodeling took 7 days (M,T,W,TH, F, Sa, M). It was quick. 8. Workmanship is great and can see the experienced workers' product. Process: 1.Free estimate - they came and measured. I talked them how and what I wanted. VKB understood me, and they gave me a quick written estimate by e-mail. 2. Contract - make sure that you read it thoroughly. I had things taken out, and added. 3. Choose materials - many materials could be chosen at the DKB showroom, but also fixtures can be chosen at Ferguson in Chantilly. Pamela Rowland at the Ferguson knew what to recommend me after explaining what I want and was such an amazing help. I was lucky to work with her. It is worth making an appointment with her. Tell Ferguson company who you are working with. They will send the list of what you have chosen to DKB. We used our existing mirror, too. My recommendation of working with any contractor is; 1. Be on top of everything. You do not hover over workers, but make sure what you want is executed. 2. It is easier to have general idea how you want and let them know so that there is no surprise. 3. Ask questions. What is the next step? What does it mean by this? Is this really necessary? Do they fit? Is it going to work? When do I need to buy the paint? I have this and that, can you use them? If you would like, ask them to make a list of things you need to pick at showrooms or on web site. I thought I was done after going to Ferguson's, but I had to get some other things. 4. Communicate, communicate, communicate. 5. When they bring in tiles, make sure that is what you want. Seeing at the showroom and seeing in your home may be different depending on how much light you have. 6. Get positively involved! 7. Contact them before walking into the showroom. The day I visited was super busy with lots of customers walking in. I am sure there are better suggestions out there, but this is what I experienced and learned. Our master bathroom looks great and I am one happy customer.

Ali came to the house and measured our countertops at the time specified when we first talked. He said he would be at the house by 10 and he was right on time. We discussed the job to be done, took measurements and said he would email the proposal either that evening or the next day. Latter that night I received his proposal which seemed to be a very fair price based on additional estimates. He took us to several granite dealers and after a couple of days we finally selected the product. The next day he and his installers came over to give me final measurements and they were exactly as Ali had predicted. I asked when he could start and they said in 2 days. Two days later they installed the countertops and sink. It took about 3 hours and when they finished the everything was perfect. No seems in the granite, all were cut in one piece, even the l-shaped counter was out of one piece of granite. These was no mess they cleaned up better than when they came in. They did an excellent job and am extremely satisfied with the craftsmanship overall outcome of the project. The estimated cost was exact. No surprises.

I have to say that most contractors I've dealt with take their time contacting and getting the job done. These guys were AMAZING!!! Very responsive, very punctual and very professional!!!! Our countertop has a S shape to it which we knew would be difficult for any installer to install. They did such a GREAT job on installing the granite! We couldn't be happier with their work, their professionalism and response time. I called them on Tuesday and they finished the job by Friday. It took 3 days for them to meet us at the granite store, cut the granite to its right shape and install in our house. I am thoroughly impressed!!!!! Thank you Dulles Kitchen and Bath!!!!

I hired Dulles Kitchen and Bath for my bathroom remodeling. The process went smoothly, beginning to end. They were professional and did the job within the timeline they had planned and within my budget! They are not the cheapest, but if you want quality and honest work I recommend them.
