It was without a doubt the best customer service experience my family has had living in the DC area the past 20 years. Our air conditioner stopped working on a Monday and I knew the forecast called for increasing temperatures through the week. Nugent & Sons sent out a representative that afternoon and was able to provide a short-term solution, which allowed the system to run while a long term solution was developed. A new Carrier system was installed by the end of the week. Throughout the entire process - the company was professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and compassionate. Steve Nugent and his staff were incredible!

Very well. I have used John Nugent for the last several years. I have an annual service agreement with this company.

It went well. They arrived on time and stayed late to complete the job in one day. I was pleased with the technicians they sent and am glad to have an entirely new system that will be worry free for some time to come. As a side note two weeks later our upstairs heat pump died and I hired them to replace that too. Again they showed up on time worked late and completed the job in one day.

Since there are not too many of these type of technicians I felt that I did not have much of a choice. After 3 technicians and 5 trips to house problem fixed.

My husband had another company come out to look at our HVAC system that was leaking. The man said we needed a whole new system $18K and it couldn't be fixed. I told him thank you but the weather is nice and we can do without for a while. He then quoted us $1,500 to patch it. I again told him thank you and to write up his estimate and we would let him know if we needed his services. I have been using John Nugent & Sons for a few years now and find every person I encounter to be professional, up front, honest and the prices to be fair and reasonable. I called John Nugent & Sons, they came out the next day, patched the problem and gave us a much more reasonable estimate for a new system. I have to remind my husband that they should always be our first phone call for home repairs.

Elmer arrived just after the scheduled arrival window, but he called in advanced, apologized, and explained that he previous job had been a big one. When he arrived he got straight to work and outlined our repair options. He was courteous and professional and finished the job in a timely manner. We were pleased with his work and ended up purchasing an HVAC service contract with Nugent and Sons.

Gilbert arrived during the scheduled window and was courteous and professional. He outlined our options in a straightforward way and completed the job relatively quickly. We then showed him some other "projects" we'd been putting off and asked for his advice on how to move forward. We ended up scheduling him to come back the following week to complete the additional projects. This isn't the first time we've used Nugent and Sons, and it won't be the last. Gilbert was great!

They were able to come the same day I called even though I wasn't expecting same-day service. The tech was professional and thorough. I highly recommend John Nugent & Sons and will be calling them again.

Great. The technician was punctual and knowledgeable.

The electrician was very friendly and honest. He was knowledgeable, and took the time to explain any issues my system had and potential fixes. He was not pushy in trying to get me to repair or upgrade anything that he did not believe was an immediate safety hazard, which I really appreciated. I would definitely recommend this company to family and friends.

Installers were prompt, professional and thorough. John Nugent is our go to for heating, cooling, plumbing and electrical.

Great. Scheduled appointment same day I called. Jason did an excellent diagnostic evaluation & fixed the problem. He arrived within the time window & called to update his arrival. Very professional. I will use this. Ompany again.

Poor service, needed multiple visits to fix without any expression of apology. Previously had a separate contractor replace our toilet but could not fit the new one on without causing a leak, saying the new toilet was defective. We hired John Nugent, explaining the problem and asking them to check if the new toilet was defective and to install properly or let us know if another toilet was needed. They came out timely, told us nothing was wrong with the new toilet, installed it and we paid, they left. The toilet began leaking. Luckily we didn't repair the ceiling beneath the toilet yet or else that would have caused further water damage. Upon calling them back they said they could return the next day and would work around our scheduled (call in advance since I was 7 months pregnant and had my baby shower the next day). The next day they call telling us they were on the way and that they could only service us then so my husband was forced to miss my shower to attend to this problem. When they returned they told us the toilet was defective but were very defensive saying that it wasn't their fault because another contractor previously worked on it (no acknowledgement of any fault for not checking for damage when we told them of the problem from the start ). Instead they upsold us on another model of toilet that they claimed was high end (claiming a discount supply price even though we later found the same model on Amazon for cheaper!). Overall took them two full visits to address a problem that we told them about upfront which was very inconvenient and they didn't even have the courtesy to offer a discount for repeat visit/inconvenience! Additionally, their work the first day would have caused further water damage if we had not held off on repairing prior damage.

I needed the work done quickly before leaving for vacation the next day, and they were able to schedule and complete the work right away. Although their quote was the middle one out of three, they explained the problem with the most detail and we're the most flexible on scheduling.

Kris was very helpful and assisted in checking all the switch outlets, the fuse box, outdoor connections and utility room. He also informed me about any updates I would need to make to stay up to code as well as pointed out some items that I should think about upgrading in the future. He also provided an estimate for the work which was very reasonable. Would definitely use again.

Excellent service, very professional and efficient. They will definitely be my go-to for future repairs. Highly recommend this company.

The quality and professionalism of the workers stands out.

We had a small miscommunication with the length of time for the project (fyi, it takes several days), but once I walked up into my attic and saw the work, I was happy as can be. I am so excited to feel the cool air in all of our rooms and watch my electric bill drop since the ductwork is all sealed up. I also highly recommend that you do this work in the off season.

They were prompt and polite and did my annual furnace check-up.

Mike Jackson came out to the house for the estimate. He was courteous and very knowledgeable. His quote was not the lowest but I knew it would be a quality water heater and that the installation would be done correctly. The install went very smooth and the two workers were also courteous and proficient.

The tech, Ron, was on-time and professional. Our system needed more work and he helped facilitate getting an estimate. He showed what the situation was and was helpful in discussing it.

The staff at john Nugent and Sons has been great to work with. After using them to repair an old furnace they have done work replacing that old furnace, a water heater, and air conditioning unit. One thing is apparent with this company and that is a customer first mindset - if an issue comes up they will make every effort to resolve it and always ensure that the job is not only done but done right.

He did the work needed to get the unit operating again for a good price. I am concerned that he said I had a natural gas leak on the upstair's furnace; said he could smell it. I bought a leak tester and it showed no leak. I would have expected him to use his leak tester to confirm.
