I signed a contract with this company on February 7th for the project to be started in March. He didn't show up until June and all he did was put some posts in and drill some holes. After this he didn't come back for six weeks and now we haven't seen him in 2 and a half months.

I wanted to respond in more detail. I called Precision Trim back in June for an estimate for deck repairs and left a voicemail. I needed to have the support posts and beam replaced along with a set of steps. Garnet Bass returned my call a few days later and scheduled to stop by 3 hours later for the estimate at 6pm. I normally work until 6pm so I took an hour of my vacation time to leave work early to meet him. He never showed. Around 7pm I called and left a voicemail. He responded that he was at his grandson's baseball game. Just three hours earlier he told me he would meet me at 6pm. So I lost an hour of my vacation time for no reason. The next evening he showed up unexpectedly. He seemed nice and knowledgeable, so at that point it didn't really bother me so much about not showing up at the original time scheduled. He said he would send an estimate later that week. After a week I called asking for the status of the estimate. I received a text that he has a new granddaughter and will get back with me. After waiting two weeks I called back. He sent me the estimate and I signed and we scheduled for 8/14. I also had questions regarding the estimate and materials being used, since there wasn't much detail in the estimate. So in my email along with the signed estimate I asked some questions and never received a response. I sent several more emails with these questions, as well as left several voice mails and text messages with these questions with no response over the following several weeks. About 5 weeks pass and a week before the repairs I sent another email along with those questions as well as asking if they still planned to be onsite on 8/14 for the repairs, since I needed to make arrangements at work to be off that day. I received a two word email response, "yes sir", with once again no answers to any of my questions. At this point I seriously doubted they would even show and I even mentioned to a relative I seriously doubt they will bother to show up. So, its 8/14 and I took the day off from work. It’s about 11am and no word from Precision Trim. I called and left a voicemail then later sent a text and called again, no answer. I later received a text early in the afternoon that his son broke his knee. I texted him that I was sorry about the incident with his son's knee, but I did want to know if the job would need to be cancelled. I took two days off from work that week to be home for the repairs and if they needed to cancel I wanted to return to work. So I text him about rescheduling and he replied that he would get back with me. Several days pass and at the end of that week I leave a voicemail asking about rescheduling. I believe his son works with him, so I wasn't sure if this meant I would need to cancel my contract and hire someone else. There was no response to my call so I sent another email and text. No response. Two more weeks pass and two more weeks of unanswered phone calls, emails and text messages. At this point I figured I wa

The owner Garnet replaced our deck rails, steps and all boards on the deck itself. Garnet is a diligent worker and his workmanship is exceptional. Our new deck looks great and we will definitely use Precision Trim of Virginia again.

The owner himself did the work on Saturday as he didn't want to mess up a weekend for his employees, to me that speaks highly of him and his company. The job while if done right the first time would have been simple, but it wasn'the so he had to correct there mistakes first. When he finished he cleaned up the mess and gave me a great price for the work done. I would recommend this company to anyone.

They did the work within 48 hours of my call. They were on budget and cleaned up after themselves. We couldn't be more pleased.

We contacted Home Advisor, got a call from this contractor, met with him to discuss this project, he arranged his work schedule, and completed the project to our complete satisfaction, and on budget - ALL within 48 hours !! We couldn't be MORE pleased with this contractor, his work, explanations to us how he was going to "attack" the project, and the expeditious completion of the work. He gave us his estimate, and we were satisfied. He said if it came in over his estimation to us, He would absorb the cost himself ! Fortunately, it came in right on budget. HIRE THIS CONTRACTOR !! I know next time we need similar work, I WILL.

Great experience with Precision Trim! We had a stairway that needed a handrail. The price was incredibly fair and his work was impeccable. The work far exceeded my expectations for this somewhat small job. I can only imagine the quality of work on their larger jobs. We will be using him in the future for our interior needs. Highly recommend!

I always dread hiring people to do home improvement projects since I have had several bad experiences. Garnet Bass of Precision Trim replaced my stairs and railings ,painting and staining posts in a neat, timely manner. He provided extra touches at my request at no additional charge. I appreciate his willingness to adjust the printed work itinerary to accommodate my schedule. The completed job is beautiful and I highly recommend this company.
