I called Curry's Arlington location at about 12:30 pm on a Saturday to make an appointment to have my air conditioner fixed. When I called the person who answered the phone was very friendly and asked if I was available to bring it in right then. That was a very pleasant surprised. They determined that I did not have a coolant leak (my guess of what was wrong.) The electronic relay switch that sends the signal to turn the air conditioning on had failed. They replaced it. The air conditioning works great now. And I had it back fixed a little over 2 hours after calling them. Their staff was very helpful and clearly explained what was wrong and what they did. I am a very happy customer.

They were excellent.  They were so good and professional.  I was very impressed with them.  It has been a couple of years since we used them but they were very good.  I think when they were finished with the work, they charged us less which really blew my mind.   They got us an estimate right away.  They fixed it.  We brought the car in and they fixed when they said they would.  They charged a little less than their estimate because their mechanic worked faster than expected.  Overall it was a nice experience.  I will recommend them to a neighbor or friend.  

The price was very competitive.  There was no problem with them giving us the parts that they took out to be sure that they were truly defective.

Curry Auto looked at my car after Sonic Soft Car Wash next door broke my power seat. The car wash manager indicated that they had a relationship with Curry and sent me there to get the seat looked over for repair. After waiting an hour, the serviceman called indicating that it was not the fuse and that they would have to take the seat apart to examine further if I wanted to leave it (obviously now looking to start charging money). Having no prior experience with them and little time, I just took my car and left. When I got home, I got the owner manual fuse guide and checked the fuse myself and it was in fact blown. It cost my exactly $1 to fix it. Curry Auto staff are either incredibly incompetent or completely dishonest. In either case, stay away from both Curry Auto and Sonic Car Wash is my advice.

I appreciated the honesty displayed by Brandon. He told me the part failed, it was still under warranty, and they would be replacing it free of charge. When I picked up the car, they replaced the same part on the other side because it too looked like it was failing.
It seems a bit odd that I would write a positive review for a company that was honest with me. Yet - I appreciated the honesty, especially as a woman and as someone who knows a little but not a lot about cars. It seems far too rare these days, and I wanted to acknowledge their performance.

Good work. Far too expensive. Loaded me up with guilt for not having other work done that, frankly, I thought was questionable. Never was allowed to speak with the mechanic. Young men working the front were more impressed with themselves than I was.

They were very responsive to initial contact and assisted with our tire questions and needs. When we took the car initially, the wrong tires had been ordered but they immediately sent for the correct set and we came again the next day. The car was taken in immediately, the service done quickly and they even cleaned our tire rims to be certain we didn't develop similar problems with the tires as we have had before. No one has ever done that or explained it to us so we were very happy. No charge for that service and the tires were very reasonably priced. We would DEFINITELY use them again!

We have always been pleased with Curry's Auto. They provide excellent customer service for reasonable rates. Furthermore, they didn't charge us for the tire work even though we didn't purchase the tires from them.

It was absolutely fabulous; I called up, set an appointment to come in at 8 and I was out of there by 8:30. It was clean to sit and wait; they had a nice waiting room. Wi-Fi was available; it was a treat. Their price was reasonable because I was afraid I was going to have to get new tires and they could have talked me into getting new tires. This was the first time I used them although my daughter has used them before; that's why I went.

Pump/motor and belt was replaced which took care of coolant leak. Oil and filter was also changed. When I was paying the bill I used a coupon that deducted about, $50 but when i was provided the total it was still close to what I had been provided over the phone. When I examined the bill I found that Curry's adds a fee below the normal bottom line for what they described as materiel and odds and ends. This was about $35 on a $950 bill. It was not disclosed in their quote and such items should be included in their hourly rate for work performed. As an added benefit I noticed a small oil leak when I took the car home, I took the car back immediately and they did offer to examine on the following Monday, this was a Saturday pick up, but between the add on fee and the new problem I took the car to my regular shop and had it corrected.

The communication with me was awful during the whole experience.
I initially took my car in b/c my AC cold air was going on and off, from normal to cold back to normal, etc. Nobody asked me for any details on the problem, all they really knew was that "the AC goes on and off." I should have explained it better, but I thought they knew what they were doing. During the first visit, they evacuated my AC, which did absolutely nothing.
I called and they said the car was ready. When I got there, they told me "your shocks are done" I had just returned my rental, but it's such a pain to take my car in that I just wanted to get things taken care of all at once. So after a wasted trip to Curry's and the rental place, i left my car one more night and went back to pick up my rental yet again.
When I got my car the next day, I drove off and not soon after, I was sweating in my car. To be fair, the AC was sometimes working, but they should have tested it a lot more before letting me take it.
So, I went back a week later. On this second visit, one guy told me worst case, the AC fix would be $100-200. They told me I also needed tires, so I figured I could afford tires if I was only spending $200 for the AC. The next day, they put the tires on, then I had to call them to find out the status, and they said i'd need to buy a compressor for $800. At this point, I didn't want the tires b/c I was going to be putting out another $800 Inot $200).
I got my car back the second time and a few days later, i was sweating in my car again. I took it back and they ended up doing I do not know what and now the AC works.

I have used them for several years now; I don't know how long. I am probably not going to go back there any more. For a long time they provided good service for a good price. I knew the people there, they knew my car and they took pretty good care of it. They were pretty good at customer service.

All those people are now gone. The last time I took the car in, the car had a symptom of something that had been wrong. They told me that the part had just failed but I have a little bit of a problem with the timing since the part failed the day I got my car back from being serviced. So, I ended up paying a towing cost and whatnot. The previous people would not have done that. They would have covered the tow or covered the rental car. They would have recognized the timing.

Also, when I picked up the car, I asked them to do a car inspection and they said that they did. When I was pulling out, I noticed that I had a tail light out. I don't know how it would have passed inspection with a tail light out so that did not give me a lot of confidence in them. So, I am probably going to look for someone else.

Based on my most recent experience, I would give them a C overall. Their prices now are very high. Previously their prices were a little more reasonable but now they are very high. I don't have a lot of comparison so it may just be that prices are going up and I am reacting to that. The quality is a C; that's where the rating comes from.
