Description of Work: They cleaned a dryer duct that had gotten pretty badly jammed. There was a challenge here the duct went to the outside because the vent was in a small well because the ground level had beauty up over the years. The Duct tubing inside the house had been attacked by a rodent of some sort, so it had to be replaced. | |They did a good job and made sure everything was according to spec when they finished. |

Description of Work: Cleaned dryer vent. The job was more complicated than usual because birds nested in my vent over the winter. They were great fixing this problem and cleaning out the vent.

Description of Work: Our chimney, which has only been used maybe twice in 20 years, needed cleaning mainly because we had chimney swifts nesting inside it the past two years. | |We had a difficult time scheduling the appointment with DuctClean 1974, but finally found a mutual date that worked. | |Mr. Oclese cleaned the chimney, but after doing so, informed me that we needed a chimney cap (which we knew was the case) and said he had a practically new one he had just removed from another home. Instead of the normal $149, he said he could install this 'slightly used' one for $99. We have a double-flue chimney, and this cap was only installed on one flue - and not the flue connected to the fireplace. If this is a professional chimney company, I would think he would know that both flues need to be capped? | |He also showed me photos of the chimney crown that has deteriorated and needs repair. We prefer not to use this same company for those repairs. We're requesting a partial refund for the single chimney cap that should have been a double one. DuctClean 1974 is welcome to come (at a mutually agreed upon time) and remove the cap he installed that should have been a larger one. | |

Description of Work: I communicated with the provider to schedule the service and confirm my address through the AL message center. My roommate made himself available to be home in the 11am-1pm window the provider quoted. At 2pm, he called to say that no one had shown up, and that he could no longer wait. I called the provider several times before he answered the phone, and then he told me he was running late and that he couldn't access my address. I asked why he didn't call, and he said he was waiting for someone to call him! I had been checking the message center and didn't know there was an issue until I called (when it was too late). I don't want to work with this unprofessional and discourteous service provider. I will schedule the service with another company. Thank you.

Description of Work: Purchased an $85 deal for a premium dryer vent cleaning plus safety inspection. My wife worked with the technicians. From what I understand, the service went well.

Description of Work: A very courteous and sincere staff arrived on time and repairs a near-broken dryer vent and identified existing problems that caused it. He even left us with the extra pipe materials in case we need to replace one in the future. When I made an appointment, the manager was very responsive and courteous. He also offered an air duct cleaning at a very reasonable cost compared to others in the market, so we decided to take the deal, and we are happy with the results and the thorough way it was carried out.
