Did incredible work. I just bought the house and they literally started a day after the sale went through. In a month they had the basement totally renovated with flooring walls, ceiling, too wet bars oh, a totally new bathroom, and a laundry room. All changes were designed by Clint and managed by Steve and his crew come. I basically gave them the keys to the basement all month and let them run with it with only occasion calls for clarification. They were able to get the whole place renovated, painted, cleaned up, and permitted within a month. I've had issues in the past with other Angieslist referrals but these guys are the real deal. Thanks for the great work!

When I’m in the market for exterior or interior home renovations, my first call is always to Phoenix Home Services (PHS). PHS just completed a major remodel of 2 bathrooms in my home. This was the 3rd home renovation project that I’ve entrusted to PHS. There’s a really good reason that my first call is always to PHS. It’s actually the same reason that Angie’s List, for the 3rd consecutive year, honored PHS with the home service industry’s coveted Super Service Award. Their exceptional workmanship and exemplary customer service truly set PHS apart from the other home service professionals. The owners of the company---Steve Bowes and Clint Asmar---along with General Manager Brian Rosenheim, take great pride in the company and work tirelessly to deliver an unsurpassed level of customer service. It’s not enough for the company to provide an excellent work product. They strive to exceed expectations for every project and to make sure that each customer has a great experience along the way. Their dedication is truly impressive and unmatched within the industry. During the course of the project there was a slight misunderstanding on my part that caused concern. I immediately received the e-mail response below from Mr. Bowes: “I'm sorry for any disconnect on the project and I assure you everyone wants you to have a good experience and result with your projects. We do appreciate your longstanding relationship with Phoenix and I'm sure we can work out anything that you need on the project.” This is just one small example, but it speaks volumes about the company’s commitment to ensure customer satisfaction. During my 5-year relationship with PHS, I have worked most closely with Mr. Asmar. Despite his incredibly busy schedule, Mr. Asmar has always been accessible and extremely responsive. Customer satisfaction is his top priority. He is all about making the customer happy and he goes above and beyond to ensure that every last detail is perfect. There is no question that Mr. Asmar is a true professional and highly accomplished in his field. He is one of the hardest working individuals I’ve ever met. I’m not sure when he finds time to sleep. It has been a real pleasure to work with him over the years. As General Manager, Mr. Rosenheim oversaw my bathroom remodel project. He has been with PHS for 13 years. During the many years that I’ve known Mr. Rosenheim, he too has always been accessible, extremely accommodating, and very responsive to all of my inquiries/concerns. His years of experience have given him a keen sense for detail, which has made all the difference in the finished products. Julio and Santiago were the craftsmen who transformed my outdated bathrooms into visions of beauty. They did so in record time with absolutely no disruption to the household. These men were professional, polite, trustworthy, talented, and very hard working. In addition, they were neat and extremely respectful of my property and personal belongings. They cleaned up every night so there was no dirt or debris left behind. It was a pleasure to have them in my home. Julio was a master with tile installation. His attention to detail was impeccable. Although he would always confirm design aspects with me, I had so much confidence in his abilities that I told him to do whatever he thought looked best. I’m a micro-manager by nature so that says everything you need to know about Julio’s talents. Santiago did a beautiful paint job and ably assisted Julio with other important aspects of the project. I will request the Julio/Santiago team again for any interior renovations. Dan put on the finishing touches after the countertops were installed. Dan is a huge dog lover and quickly became friends with my 3 pit bulls. He even let them have the run of the house while he worked. THAT was a heartwarming bonus and very much appreciated by me and my pups! A sincere "THANK YOU!!!" to Mr. Asmar, and the rest of the PHS team, for once again exceeding all expectations!! My bathrooms look absolutely gorgeous!!! PHS represents the very best in the home service industry in both workmanship and customer service! Because they consistently go above and beyond for their customers, PHS is more than deserving of the Angie’s List Super Service Award for the 3rd straight year. I highly recommend PHS and will use them for future projects.

Given the urgent water intrusion and mold remediation situation in which we found ourselves, it was a huge relief to find a responsive, knowledgeable contractor who could move quickly and put together a reliable, hardworking crew. The subs whom I met were professional and upstanding; they did good work and could be trusted with a house key. Phoenix completed all work on schedule and within tight time frames. Phoenix is also mindful of details. For example, they made sure roofing nails in the front and back yards were swept up with magnets and that all construction debris was cleaned up and removed. Most recently, when water was noticed seeping into our basement (not a warranty issue), we contacted owner Steve on a Friday. He came out the following Monday morning (after a snowstorm) to assess the situation and called his master plumber Rick who came the same day. That level of responsiveness and customer service ensures repeat business from loyal customers. Also, the pleasure of working with Jose, Paula, and Clint, all vital members of the Phoenix team!

Outstanding company! We hired them to tear out an old ground level deck and replace it with a flagstone patio in backyard; and a matching walkway and stoop in the front. The project turned out beautifully. Clint was a pleasure to work with and is a very skilled designer. He was more than accommodating after our project hit an unforeseen snag (no one's fault) and had to be halted. Cost was a bit higher than some other companies but we are definitely glad we hired them. They responded to and addressed each and every concern along the way and their work is top notch. Great experience from initial contact to final walk through and payment. Project was completed about 4 months ago and is holding up well so far. Would definitely hire again.

We contracted Phoenix Home Services to build a large deck with a jacuzzi area and stone landing, a lower stone patio with a fire pit, and stone steps connecting both. A very beautiful design and top quality craftsmanship! We could not be happier with the project and the people who made it a reality. Clint, Brian, Steve, and their crews were easy to work with and very professional at every stage of the project. They responded to all our concerns promptly and efficiently. Our admiration goes to Rembert (master stonemason) and Ethan (master carpenter) for their craftsmanship and attention to detail. They were able to easily work with our specific design requirements and make our vision a reality. We highly recommend Phoenix and would happily contract them again for future projects.

Very satisfied with the work and the workers. Clint is the owner and Brian is the job forman. Both are very good at there job. Clint worked with us until he could provide the new deck within our budget. Workers picked up after themselves each day so that our dogs and the babies would not get hurt during construction. We recently had Phoenix install a deck for us and we could not be happier with the finished result. The lead designer Clint came up with a beautiful deck design that made the most of our backyard's sloped topography and allowed us to visualize it with a 3D design that showed us what it would look like before any work was done. Ethan and Holman put the deck up in under a week! They arrived early every day and kept the work site clean. Everyone was a joy to work with, and we will definitely consider the Phoenix team for our future remodeling needs!

Clint was quick to respond to my inquiry and schedule an in-person consultation. His quote was not the cheapest of the ones we received, but his design and professionalism were impeccable and I felt more comfortable signing with him than with any other contractor we met with. He was incredibly patient while we awaited approval from our HOA, and then his team got started immediately. They built a beautiful, permitted, and fully functional deck within an incredibly reasonable timeline, and we couldn't be happier with the result. I would definitely hire Clint and Phoenix Home Services again for future projects.

Phoenix assisted us with electrical work regarding a chandelier and wall sconce rewiring/installation. The electricians arrived early, were polite, and finished in under 2 hours! We'll be using them for an upcoming deck project, and we're sure we'll find more projects for them!

We first met with Clint, who provided an extremely quick and detailed proposal including the step-by-step process, a description of all materials, the floor plan, and most importantly, a rendering of the project from a number of angles. He is a talented designer and came up with a concept that truly complimented the rest of the house and had some unique architectural features. Then the build itself went very smoothly and efficiently. All the workers we met (construction, electric, masonry) were professional and friendly. Communication throughout the process was clear and prompt (all emails and calls returned close to immediately). And the final project is amazing! It looks exactly like the rendering, uses high quality and attractive materials, and is the talk of the neighborhood, it is so stunning. I am glad we decided to go with Phoenix and "do the project right." I would not hesitate to use Phoenix again, they did a wonderful job on this large project.

We have an older home in Kings Park (Springfield, VA) and we were in desperate need of a kitchen update. When we first started this project, we used a low bid contractor. Needless to say, a quarter of the way through the project we realized we had made a HUGE mistake and the project was going from bad to worse. We called several contractor's and Phoenix Home Services came in and absolutely conquered this project. They are by far the best in the business! From our initial consult through project close, they were on time, clean, professional, had a dedicated crew and the co-owner (Steve Bowes) was available day and night for those nuisance calls and became our ultimate support system. This company has top notch plumbers, electricians, drywall installers, painters, and the best carpenter in the business (Dan Gardener)! Would I recommend them, absolutely, positively!

We hired Phoenix to build a patio (13' x 17') a walkway (4' x 3') and an 8" high plantar wall approximately 65 linear feet in our backyard. Before starting the project, we obtained 3 estimates. Phoenix was the only company that provided a full rendering (with color, computer generated pictures) that showed what the final result would look like. I felt this was extremely professional and gave me a comfort level that Clint and his team understood exactly what we wanted. The cost was comparable to the other two estimates, so I also felt comfortable that the price was what it should be. The project took about 3.5 weeks to complete. The team did a fantastic job. The quality and attention to detail is incredible. Our resulting patio, walkway and plantar walls are absolutely beautiful! I would highly recommend Phoenix and I would definitely use them again.

Phoenix and their team are amazing. Highly recommend. Clint and Steve are very responsive and accommodating. Deyvis was always on time and did fantastic work. He did A LOT of tile work in these rooms. Dan is absolutely genius with custom built-ins for the closet and he made custom barn doors for the master. I cannot speak more highly of a company and their work ethic and integrity.

The work is top notch and very high quality. It took 4+ weeks to get the permits/paperwork, but once those were all done, the deck went up in a little over a week, inspections and all. Amazing! I didn't have to lift a finger, apply for any permits, know anything about decks, sign anything more than the contract for our work, or clean up after anybody. I cannot imagine how this experience could have gone better in any way. Clint Asmar is very responsive, via email, text, and phone, at any hour of the day, any day of the week. He checked in to let me know about progress, and Brian and the other guys working on the build tidied up after themselves each day, which kept my stress levels down. We have a renter who I was worried would be inconvenienced by the build, but because it went so quickly and the guys were so courteous, everything was great. Clint, Brian, and the team of guys did a great job, and we look forward to enjoying their handiwork for years to come. We are excited for the wood to cure so we can stain and paint. Thanks!

This was the second project the Phoenix team did for us. Clint Asmar looked at the deck and after discussing it with us knew exactly what needed to be done. He quickly provided a detailed statement of work and scheduled the build. Ethan and Holman are expert craftsmen and did beautiful work. We were amazed at how quickly and meticulously they completed the job. The entire team and process was professional from start to finish. We absolutely recommend Phoenix and will rely on them again for future projects.

From the beginning the experience was great. From the time Clint came and gave the estimate to the final, Clint and his crew were perfect. I already have them doing my next job.

We were very pleased from start to finish and our new walkway is beautiful.

We contracted for a small patio (14.6 feet X 10 feet) with a raised planter wall (14.6 ft. long X 3.3 ft. wide X 18” high), all done in flagstone (the planter was stacked flagstone). Phoenix cancelled and asked to reschedule our initial meeting and we almost went with another contractor. Phoenix was persistent that they have a chance to bid. After our meeting, they produced a thorough proposal, complete with a detailed scope of work, milestones and payment schedule, references, and list of licenses/certifications. Though significantly more expensive than the other contractor who provided a proposal, we decided to go with them. The masonry done by their team (Rembert and his wife, Sophie) was OUTSTANDING! Incredible attention to even the smallest detail. We cannot say enough good things about the quality of Rembert and Sophie’s work. The patio and planter are absolutely gorgeous! We were disappointed in how one member of the management team communicated, however. We asked if there would be a language problem. Phoenix acknowledged that there would be and that one of them would come to the site each day to check on things and respond to any issues. That did not happen. They also relied too much on communicating through text messages, which did not always come across well. In fact, we were royally miffed the morning after the job was completed. We finally had the opportunity to sleep in and were awakened at 6:43 am with text messages asking us if we were pleased with the project. We were very pleased with the project, but we were not pleased with the text messages at 6:43 am, to say the least. A phone call at a reasonable hour or an e-mail would have been greatly preferred. We waited a couple of weeks before writing this review to ensure that it would not be overly colored by the communication aspect. This was our fourth renovation project in as many years, and this was the only time that we had this issue, which might not be an issue for others. We would definitely recommend Phoenix Home Services for patio work, especially if you can get Rembert and Sophie.

We had a 40-year old original to the house deck that had to be replaced. We also wanted to replace a window and regular door with a sliding glass door to allow more light to come into our dining room. From start to finish we had a terrific experience with Phoenix Home Services. Clint was our initial contact who wrote up the statement of work. When he gave us the estimate he included a 3-D rendering of how we wanted to the deck and door to look, a list of local references, licensing information, and other helpful information about the project. He explained everything in detail about what the steps would be and approximate time it would take. He, Ethan, Steve and Rich, kept us informed about each step throughout the process. Even when we had days of torrential rain and they couldn't work on the project, they kept in touch and let us know what would happen as soon as they could work. Ethan and Holman were the leads for building the deck and putting in the sliding glass door. They worked quickly and efficiently while really making sure that each part of the deck and door was perfect, including the small amount of siding and the door trim. Juan did the drywall for the areas where the old door and window used to be. He took his time and made sure it was paint-ready for us. They paid attention to detail for all aspects and the finished results were even better than we envisioned. We love our new deck and having more light in our space. We appreciated the professionalism and customer focus from everyone we came in contact with from Phoenix. We are already looking forward to the next house projects they'll do for us and highly recommend them to others who need outside or inside home renovations.

We couldn't be happier with the Phoenix Home Services team and the work that they did renovating our basement! The company was recommended to my husband and I through a family friend and from the first interaction with them, we knew we wanted to hire them. During the first walk-through Steve listened to our ideas and provided numerous suggestions on ways that we can achieve what we wanted. He worked within our budget and was always patient and helpful when we were indecisive or changed our minds about something. Having someone that was readily available and very responsive made the process extremely smooth and easy. We decided on having them put up drywall, put in recessed lighting, adding wall sconces, redoing the staircase and railing, changing the storage doors and all hardware, building sliding double barn doors to hide our storage area, creating built-ins, and even more small details and finishings. Once work began the project manager, Dan, was at our house everyday before we left for work and even on a few Saturdays. He provided constant updates on their progress and kept us updated on what they would be working on each day. Coming home and seeing what they did was the highlight of our days! Dan built custom double sliding barn doors and a built-in entertainment center, which came out so beautifully! You could tell how meticulous he was and how many hours he spent putting these pieces together and we love them so much! They were very diligent with their work and it took about 5 weeks to renovate our entire basement, which was pretty fast considering the size of our basement and what they had to accomplish. We are so happy with the results and now feel that our basement is the best room in the house. We would highly recommend working with Phoenix Home Services and will definitely use them again for future projects!

Clint over promised but under delivered. We reached out to Phoenix in January because we wanted a new patio, a privacy fence, and landscaping to be done before the summer started. THE PATIO IS NICE - NO COMPLAINTS WITH THE PATIO but it took them three visits to get the stepping stone done correctly. I attached their second attempt of what they left behind as a stepping stone. I have emails and text messages from Clint where he agreed it was not done correctly and he would come over the next day to do it personally. Not only did he not show up but he never bothered to let us know he wasn't coming. They needed to come back multiple times to address issues with the fence. Clint texted me to let me know he was very irritated with the work done and he would rectify. Even after "rectifying" there were still issue with some of the wood boards splitting (I attached just one of the examples), unnecessary nails and screws left in some posts (image attached), and I found a couple dozen nails and screws scattered throughout my backyard. After all the issues with the fence and stepping stone, they did eventually fix everything. Despite knowing that we really wanted to have the backyard landscaped Clint never provided us with an estimate. Once he was fully paid for the patio and fence it became very hard to get him to work with us on the landscaping. He told us multiple times that he would get back to us but he never did. I talked to him six days ago and he promised to get me an estimate in a day or two. He never did and I got tired of waiting for him. After sending him an email to let him know we were no longer interested in waiting for an estimate he wrote back and said he sent the estimate. Neither my wife or I ever received this email so he sent it today. I would never have worked with Phoenix had I known how bad their customer service is. I welcome any reply back from Phoenix Home Services.

Phoenix did an absolutely amazing job from the very first phone call to the final walk through...I could not have asked for any better service or end product. Clint Asmar did a terrific job of designing our (approximately 1000 sf) stone patio and (approximately 700 linear feet) wooden fence. He quickly produced a computerized, detailed graphic of the whole project based on an in-depth discussion with my wife and I. He then happily made the few adjustments we asked for, provided us the documents we needed to seek HOA approval, and then got the job scheduled. The workers who completed the work were very professional, easy to communicate with, and listened to/addressed our every need. Amazingly, either Clint or one of his Senior Team peers were on site every day of the project to ensure all went right. Their material and processes for installing them were spot on...far above what we found from other companies who we considered. We never once worried about any aspect of the job as the work crew and Phoenix leadership truly wanted to produce a top-notch product in a very reasonable amount of time...and they did. Once completed, the team cleaned up the area perfectly and did a thorough walk-through to make sure our every need was addressed. Seriously, this company has a passion for what they do...and they do unparalleled work and provide A+ service at every turn. I don't normally write reviews, but these guys deserve it and I can say with confidence you will absolutely love working with this team.
