Everyone displays a genuine love for animals and the utmost professional knowledge. This place has heart and soul! Excellent service and care.

The doctor and the staff are great. He was very attentive and my dog is doing much better. I am comfortable brining my other dog to Monticello Animal Hospital.

Everyone from the reception team to the vet techs to the vets themselves are so knowledgeable and caring. We have spent hours on the phone with them with follow ups and consultations and they always make time to talk to us about our special patient

I transferred my pets to MAH in April and was nervous because they had such great care. Everyone was really friendly, made it easy for me and my animals.
I had to take my dog back this week for dental surgery. They made the process super easy for me. They went over everything and made sure I knew exactly what to expect with both my dog and the bill. They called me several times to update me on how she was doing. And then followed up the next day. They were so very thoughtful and my dog is doing great. I'll definitely be sticking with them.

dog had severe eye problem, called this vet from angies list, called to make appointment on firday ,but they said friday was was booked. said they did not want to see her suffer and wait till the following monday, so bring her sat. morning and they would fit her in and call when done. they were awesome. place was clean and when we came to pickher up, she was not in cage but playing with tech in back.

I wouldn't think of taking a pet anywhere else. Dr. Anderson is a compassionate vet, but he is also honest to enough to tell you when the time has come to put a beloved pet down. He keeps up with the literature in his field and is able to point toward the latest therapies. Prices are not the best, I believe, but when a beloved pet is involved and you want the best vet around, I would personally not think of going anywhere else in Charlottesville... and this assessment is based on more than 25 years of pet ownership in our area.

I wasn't busy - that was good for us. It was clean and it had a modern feel. I will use them again.

They tried to get me to do procedures that aren't necessary. They put animals in danger.

This was my first visit to the clinic and Dr. Andersen was wonderful. He took his time with each of my dogs and explained the causes of chronic issues that no other vet had explained to me in the past.

We have taken both of our dogs and our bird to Dr. Rose many times. At first, we loved them because Dr. Rose was so nice and the cost of visits was slightly ($10-$15) cheaper than our previous vet. Then, we needed monthly medicines for our dogs, that they wanted us to pay more than double the price that we could get it online for, with a prescription. They were very reluctant to give us a prescription or the generic so they could make more money off the brand name and we felt that they were only nice when we were willing to pay them over $100 every month.

The front desk staff was never very nice. They were a little snobby and we always had to wait a long time. Even when we were just picking up medicine and we had called ahead, we had to wait 10-15 minutes before it was ready.

We have switched back to our previous vet and would NOT recommend Monticello Animal Hospital.

They are very compassionate and understanding about pets. They are very helpful in an emergency situation and start testing right away. Their price is competitive. I would continue to use them in the future.

I can't say enough about how wonderful Dr. Rose and Anderson have been with me and my trouble prone dogs. I would recommend them to anybody for vet care in Charlottesville.

I absolutely adore them. I loved that I was able to get in promptly when I called because I had a sick dog. They were able to get me in that afternoon. We have just moved to the area so we are new and didn’t have a vet in the area. Unfortunately we didn't get the best prognosis for the dog. The first day the vet gave me his personal cell phone number. I was just blown away. Even when she passed they sent a follow up letter. The vet actually had to put her to sleep. The compassion was overwhelming. When we got a new puppy there was no hesitation on where I was taking the puppy. I had loved my previous vet and they have been great. The whole staff is great and their professionalism has been fabulous. They are so friendly. Their rates are really reasonable for really great service. They have been cheaper than any other vet that I've been to.
