The whole experience was great! I requested a quote via their web page, and received a phone call the very next day setting up the appt. They were able to come out very quickly and take a look at the job we were requesting. They really listened to what we wanted and made very good suggestions for the area. We received our quote via email the very next day. I was able to set an install date within a week of calling them to confirm our acceptance of the quote, which was awesome! The price was very competitive and included brush removal and coordinating ms. utility. The crew arrived exactly when they said they would, and were great! Hard-working and professional. K.C (who did the initial quote) was out at the site first thing as well, so I knew that it would get installed exactly as discussed. The install was started and completed in one day, and the fence looks great! Really great experience from beginning to end! Plus, my puppies are really happy to have the run of the yard, and I can rest easy knowing that the fence was installed well and there will be no 'escapees'!

Prior to beginning the project, he was readily available to answer my questions. K.C. was on sight at the beginning of the job & verified with the installers & me, the fence placement, ensuring compliance with HOA requirements. Fence was replaced in less than a week after receiving estimate & required less than one day to complete the project. Installers were extremely efficient & knowledgeable. Quality workmanship; I would recommend MC Fence & Deck.

Jeff came out to measure and gave me several recommendations for both cost effectiveness and durability. We went with an aluminum fence and couldn't be happier. Jeff showed up the day of the install with his crew. The foreman, Manual and his associate worked hard the entire day. They tweaked all the things to make the fence look great.

Estimators were very punctual, arriving exactly when they said. They were very courteous, quick, and professional. The estimate was actually a bit below what my insurance company had estimated. A few days later I accepted the estimate and paid the deposit and they scheduled work for the next week. One reason I picked this company was that they strongly recommended upgrading the gate posts from 4x4 to 6x6 posts. This made sense, as I had always had problems adjusting the gate over the years. The larger posts will be much more stable and strong. Also, they were highly rated by Angie's list subscribers. On the scheduled day the workers were due to arrive in the morning, but were delayed by another job until about 2PM. When I arrived to check progress at about 3:30 they had already taken down the old fence sections and begun replacing the posts. I was pleased with their obvious carpentry skills and fast work. By 6:30PM they were totally finished with all the work. Two guys built form scratch the entire 3 sections of fence (no pre-assembled panels, all boards measured, cut, hung and nailed on site), hung and adjusted the gate, dug out and straightened the two leaning posts, and cleaned up the project area. I was so happy I gave them both generous tips.

I got many estimates before MC Deck and Fence came out. I needed a lot of different projects completed. So working with different companies wasn't the best option. MC said they could take care of it all. They matched prices and we started the work. In the beginning we liked MC a lot... Sadly as the work got started the communication started to slip. Wrong things ordered (and installed), sloppy work, and having to reach out instead of them talking to us. They are nice people, but I would not use them again. I'll go with a company that cares more about quality. You get what you pay for.

In case this becomes tl;dr (too long; didn't read), I'll keep this part brief: Hire MC Fence if you need a beautiful fence at a reasonable price, constructed by true craftsmen with excellent customer service. We choose three local fence contractors to give us estimates for our new fence in Leesburg, which was to include two single gates (one front, one rear) and a double gate. From the first meeting with KC at MC Fence, we had a great feeling for this company. He clearly knew his stuff--I showed him a couple photos snagged off the Internet and he explained what would be entailed with the board and batten style fence we wanted. He was conversant in the various price points (pressure treated vs. cedar, size of posts, etc.) and had some suggestions for working around a drainage situation in the far back corner. MC Fence was the clear winner. After notifying them of our choice, they were able to schedule our fence within the next week. They handled getting Miss Utility out here to mark the lines and a delivery of construction materials came the day before. BTW, the lumber they selected for the fence is superb--truly pretty grain and texture, nice straight boards. Despite incredibly hot and humid weather yesterday (depending on which thermometer one consulted it was between 96-101 degrees here), the MC Fence team showed up early and immediately got started tearing down a neighboring chain link/split rail fence (with the neighbor's permission, of course) and setting the posts for the perimeter. KC was on-site with his foreman Manuel and we went over the plan for the day, making some final adjustments to the original plan to accommodate the official survey I'd commissioned separately. Each team member had a particular job and efficiently set about getting the fence up. Progress was immediate and steady. Within about 8 hours after they started, they'd erected the entire fence (about 320') and all three gates. They cleaned up every speck of debris (even hauling away the neighbor's old fence remnants and a small sapling that had to be cut down). KC returned later that evening to check in and make sure we were happy with the final product. The fence was exactly what we wanted--better that we imagined, even. We have three dogs and to see those pups frolicking in the secure yard was a fabulous sight! MC Fence were consummate professionals and skilled craftsmen--I've already had several neighbors drop by for contact information, which I've happily provided. We are planning to build a deck later this summer/early fall--guess who we'll be calling first to give us an estimate for that work, too?

It is really nice to find companies that still use customer service as as their primary methodology for doing business. McFence & Deck is one of those rare companies! They gave me the best price by far of any of the four companies that I requested an estimate from. They went far beyond what I would have considered acceptable in their customer service and workmanship. When I do additional work to my home McFence & Deck will be my first call. I want to express my sincere gratitude to Mike and everyone on his team!

I was walked through all the steps needed to gather the appropriate documentation, concerns were answered. The installation had to be perform taking the following into consideration: 1. A French drain built through the middle of my back yard and 2. A 35-40 feet high retaining wall which split the fence in half from base to top The installer did a great you of aligning all angles and removing all obstacles to precisely build the fence. I'm already planning to use MC Fence and Deck for my deck installation ...

Showed up at 9am. Immediately started to tear down existing fence. They never stopped working from the time they showed up till all trash was gone. professional and meticulous. I didn't want to watch them all day. Did not want them to feel I was "overseeing" I enjoyed watching how they knew their job, knew how to go about getting it done, I felt they could do this in their sleep. It really was a pleasure to watch

MC Fence and Deck is a family owned / family run company. My husband met with Mike Colwell for the estimate. Mike was at the house ahead of schedule, checked out the area, and prepared the estimate before my husband arrive (new home & had not moved in yet). We had some modifications back and forth while wait to see if one of the neighbors was going to participate, which caused some time between the original estimate and when we were ready to schedule the installation. As such, Mike was nice enough to come back to the home to go back over what exactly was going to happen and firm up the price of the estimate for additional changes we decided to make that day. The pricing is definitely competitive and reasonable. Mike was able to fit me in a couple of weeks later, which was great considering it is the summer. Mike was there to walk the area the morning of to go back over what was going to happen that day and then to go over the details with the job foreman. Lorenzo was the foreman for my job and super nice. Lorenzo and his crew were all very nice and hard workers. As I had moved in just a month and a half before installation, I had no landscaping done and the yard was pretty overgrown around the entire area the fence was being installed including lots of little trees. Before the crew cut down any of the trees, he confirmed with me that I was ok with the removal and even showed me exactly why the tree needed to come down. The fence was most important to me, so I was fine with all trees being removed. If this is an area of concern for you, make sure you talk with Mike beforehand and have your landscaper come in to clear the areas first. Lorenzo even talked through my options with the sizing of the fence and gave me insight into his experience, which I found very helpful. The entire job took most of the day but was finished quicker than my husband and I expected. Overall, very happy with the materials and the quality of the work.. For family reasons, Mike was unable to stop by at the end of the day to go over the job with me, but came the very next morning to make sure everything was done to his expectations and that I was happy. We did find a couple of things that need to be corrected, and Mike is having the crew come back out on Monday to fix - minor items. I will definitely be using MC Fence and Deck in the future for the deck and other stone work I need to have done in the future.

Two employees showed up on time, established the boundaries, and installed fence in one day. Work ethic was exceptional and worked hard to complete work in one day. Clean up was thorough. Interactions with administrative staff were professional and efficient.

Summary: I have a lovely fence, but getting it was quite frustrating. I received a quote and didn't act on it for several months. In early May I contacted the company to see if they could put in a fence per the earlier quote, and was told yes. 10 May - talked with Mike, the owner, and scheduled installation of a fence on 20 May between 12-5. Was told that I needed to be present in case there were any questions and to sign off when finished. (no contact for 10 days) 20 May - I took 5 hours off from work. Sat at home starting at noon. By 3, I wondered if I was even on the schedule. Called, and was told that the work crew was "finishing up" another job and would be with me in about an hour. I mentioned that I had plans for that evening and wondered whether starting at 4 would give them enough time to finish, and was told there'd be plenty of time. 4:30 - still no work crew. No updates. Called the office and received a recording saying that, because it was after 5, nobody was answering. Left message. 4:45 - still no work crew. No updates. No reply to my earlier call. Called again, got the same recording claiming that it was after 5. Left message. 5:15 - Work crew finally arrives and claim that they were never told when they should do my job, so it wasn't their fault (a statement they repeatedly made). I wasted the entire day because I was specifically told that I needed to be present for the work which would be performed between 12 and 5. (1) I needed to leave around 6, and they claimed it'd take 2 hours to do the job once they had finally arrived, so I wouldn't be there to sign off when finished, and (2) I specifically asked for some sort of compensation for the amount of my time that was wasted before I would let them start any work. The work crew was, shockingly, unable to reach a supervisor given the time, so they left. I sent the above timeline to the company via email that evening, since leaving messages during business hours had already proved ineffective, and requested either a refund of the deposit I had sent or immediate installation the next day at my convenience. A VP of the company (initials - BD?) called early the next morning to apologize profusely. Unable to install that day, they could come first thing the following day and offered a discount in compensation for their screw-up. The next morning, they arrived promptly, and [initials] was there to supervise the work crew so that I didn't need to be present. I came home that evening to find a very nice fence. Based on other reviews, my experience may have been a fluke. I appreciate how the company tried to make the best of a bad situation, and their eventual response couldn't have been better. However, the customer service I received as a whole was poor - particularly compared to another service I had done that week, where the company called several times to confirm and remind about the appointment time (would be a nice addition to this company's policy) and that provider showed up during the given window (a low bar, but it wasn't met here).

They did a terrific job! They were very prompt, professional and very responsive to any concerns. Mike, the owner, came out to check out the job before the crew started. Lorenzo, the team supervisor, was excellent. I couldn't have asked for a better team and job. Would not hesitate to recommend them. They were wonderful!

They were awesome. The end price was the same the as initial quoted price. Everything with Jeff, who was estimator, was fine. They are family-owned and are very responsive. My neighbors love the fence and the work comes with a 1-year workmanship and material warranty.

So happy I went with MC Fence for our fence. They came out, gave me an estimate that beat other estimates up front rather than me having to go back and forth talking them down. Showed up on time, worked quickly and efficiently. Workers were respectful and gave me a great fence!

Mike came by to do the estimate. I already knew that I wanted the style to match my neighbor's fence. Their estimate was slightly higher than the other quote I got, but they initially gave me detailed enough plans to submit to my HOA which made the process quicker and easier. I did not have to schedule anyone to come back and give me more detailed specs. The fence looks great. The workers arrived early and remained focused the whole time. Would use this company again.

I am waiting for the homeowners association to approve it. He was very good at getting the quote at the time that he said he would. I called them on Thursday to give me some insight on how to persuade my HOA, and they were good with that. They got the quote back very fast, compared to 5 other quotes that I received. Theirs wasn't the lowest, but it was not the highest, and he gave more value. The estimator that came out was very friendly, and knowledgeable.

From start to finish it could not have gone more smoothly. K.C. is very proud of his employees and they are the hardest workers I have ever seen. They did everything they said they would and more. They took very special care as to where they pulled onto the property so they would not cause any damage to driveway or lawn. My new fence is absolutely beautiful. Was reluctant to pick up the phone because I did not know who I could trust. Angie's List gave me confidence that this company is stellar and they are. Family owned. They will go out of their way to please you. They were quick to respond, polite and friendly. If K.C. comes out to meet with you to discuss what you are looking for .... tell him "Rae sent him!"

Never received estimate nor an explanation as to why not. UPDATE Received estimate and an apology from the gentleman who had visited my property, apparently he had made a mistake with my email. I appreciate his reaching out to personally apologize for the delay. The price provided is very reasonable. As I said before, he was very professional and gave me good ideas and options for the work required.

MC Fence and Deck promptly responded to my request for a quote via the Angie's List messaging system. K.C. visited our home the same week of my request and was very personable and forthright. We received a detailed quote the next business day that included a 10% discount for Angie's List members. Before receiving our deposit (and because time was tight), they sent someone to remove one neighbor's chain-link fence so that we could proceed with grinding out tree stumps that had grown through the fence. We really appreciated their willingness to do this -- it kept us on schedule. On installation day, a crew of three worked really hard from noon to 7 pm, then returned the following (Saturday) morning to finish the job. The fence looks fantastic!

From start to finish this was an excellent experience. I highly recommend this firm. The estimate was competitively priced, the firm was responsive to my calls, they arrived on the day predicted and did the work in a professional manner. The new fence is beautiful and very solid. They removed all the debris and did not damage my plantings or yard.

I contacted them to get a bid to install a fence around our backyard. The fence had to meet the exact requirements of the Owners Association so there wasn't much choice in the style or selection of materials. Their bid was excellent and I chose them to do the work. They were to install 172 linear feet of fence with two 48" gates. There was a minor hiccup in scheduling the work. They gave the wrong address (that of another client with the same last name) to OneCall so the utilities did not get marked on schedule. Then we got a lot of rain and had to wait for the ground to dry out, but they came out on a Saturday to get it done as soon as possible. On the day of the installation a supervisor came out and went over the plans with me to ensure that they were doing it as I wanted. The supervisor dug the corner post holes to make sure they were right inside the lot lines and corner stakes. Two workers then did the rest of the work. They finished up by 6pm even though it didn't look like they could possibly get it done. The workers were very friendly and even helped me to use some of the extra dirt from the post holes to fill some low areas. The fence looks great. Now I just have to get it stained.

The contractor was able to install the fence in two days and it looks great. They used thicker gate posts and better quality hinges and gate handle.

We are trying to repair a fence that we are selling, and we need a new fence put up on the house that we are buying, and they were very understanding of that process, and they probably greatly reduced their price. Their customer service has ben great so far. Their efficiency stood out the most.
