Redesign from grass to boulders and decorative plants: Ibi and crew came and removed all of the front yard plants, mostly grass and a few accent evergreens. It was a total overhaul. His staff spent 2 days removing plants in place plus roots and soil. Boulders came next. Watching his staff work was a pleasure. He was here every day to oversee that it was done to his requirements. It looked fabulous when completed. However, in a month we had a major problem - nutsedge. It did not happen immediately, but it was killed and removed by his staff. He also added some plants for ground cover and replaced one plant's loss. We experienced a few problems but like the professional he is, Ibi resolved each one as it occurred - lights, nutsedge, and dead plants. He replaced and addressed all of our problems. Definitely would use his company again.

We enjoyed working with Ibi and his team as they transformed our back yard into a no-grass meditative space. We added a room with large glass windows and wanted a garden that would come into the room. We appreciated numerous design and material suggestions. Communication was excellent.

We hired Northern Virginia Landscaping Virginia Landscaping to help with a drainage issue in our yard. Overall, they were outstanding. Specifically, - We invited several companies to assess the project and Northern Virginia Landscaping were the best in terms of showing up when promised, thoroughly assessing the issue, and suggesting a plan for how to proceed. It’s amazing how many other companies missed key issues, came up with half-baked plans, or didn’t show up at all. - When we retained Northern Virginia Landscaping, Ibi, the owner, worked closely with us to come up with a design that was both practical and aesthetic. - Ibi was very open to negotiation, helping us prioritize different parts of the project and evaluate trade offs between costs of various parts of the design. He also specifically sought our input into the design through the process. By the end, we felt like the design was our own. - Once the design was finalized, Ibi was clear about when the work would begin and how long it would take. When heavy rains delayed his crew at another project, he was clear with us about what that meant for our start date. Overall, the communication and customer service were excellent and Ibi made himself fully available when we had questions. - Once the work began, it went very smoothly and largely according to plan. We knew exactly what would happen when and on the few occasions there were unanticipated decisions needing to be made, Ibi consulted us on our options and quickly incorporated our feedback into the work. - We did not necessarily seek out the lowest cost option, but the prices were very reasonable given the high quality product. Just as important, the pricing was very transparent and there were no “surprise” costs once the project began. The work was completed on time, on budget, and on spec. Ibi also did a final walk through with us to make sure we were satisfied and to answer our questions. Overall, we very very happy with Northern Virginia Landscaping. They seem like an energetic young company that wants to give their clients great work and customer service at a reasonable price.

We had Northern Virginia Landscaping come out and grind some stumps, put down an organic corn-based pre-emergent, and mulch all the beds on a double lot. Ibi was super professional, arrived on time, produced a clear itemized bid, and got the work down exactly when it was scheduled. Excellent clean-up as well. Truly a top rate outfit that we plan to use again going forward. Highly recommend!

The project went very well. We are exceptionally pleased with the upgraded appearance of both the flagstone stoop and front walkway. The widened drain and the permeable paver pads solved our perpetual drainage problem in the basement walkout. The new drainage system was put to the test immediately with the deluge of rain and passed with flying colors. Ibi is responsive, easy to work with and a true gentleman. His crew did an excellent job and completed the project in a timely manner despite the inclement weather.

The sidewalk is beautiful! We love it! Northern Virginia Landscaping did an excellent job, and they did it promptly and quickly, so that my elderly father could use it as soon as he moved in. The front walk repair was also done without delay, and it blends in well with the old flagstone work. Ibi, the owner, is a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend Northern Virginia Landscaping!

Ibi's team did a fantastic job cleaning up our flower beds and removing all the overgrowth from the yard. They tore up roots and left everything looking immaculate. A rainstorm hit right after they left and a lot of the grass seed they laid was washed away. Ibi reached out to me to offer to have someone come by and relay the seed later that week. We're hiring him again this year to do our flower beds and bush trimming again.

We contacted Northern Virginia Landscaping shortly after my family moved into our new home in Alexandria. We wanted to be able to use the outdoor space for our kids to run around, but there was a big problem, there was eroding retaining walls, re-bar sticking up from cinder blocks, old bricks, and the land sloped a significant amount to limit functionality of a play area. We did not know much about retaining walls or how we could possible build the space for what we would like to do, with also keeping in mind some possibilities for expansion in the future. After the initial estimate we were able to finally see how the project could be accomplished, what type of drainage the walls needed to have, how high the walls should be and how we could transform this treacherous landscape into an area where are family can play for the future. We were very satisfied at the end of the project to have a more level area to use, that is safe, and has given us opportunities to expand upon for the future for our family.

He was very quick in responding, kept his commitments for the work he was scheduled to do and did a quick follow up for other work that was to be done shortly afterwards. Ibi's crew was professional and hard working. They paid attention to little details and even did some stuff I didn't realize they would do. I would definitely hire them again. Ibi was easy to work with and he came by to make sure I was satisfied with the job. He also sent someone over a few weeks later to reseed some areas that had been washed out by a rainstorm shortly after the job was completed.

The team did a fantastic job. Ibi came out to the property to survey it and discuss our needs. He was able to get a team out to our property in about two weeks, and the transformation was amazing - it looks like a totally different yard! Everything was nicely trimmed and cleaned up, and the team hauled all the clippings away.

He and his coworker (sorry, forgot to ask his name) did a beautiful job. They even replanted some of the old bushes in the back of the house free of charge! Ibi followed up with an email about general plant maintenance and watering instructions. I was extremely impressed by his passionate approach to this project, as well as his knowledge of the job and professionalism. Very happy with the final result.
