Rick's Auto Repair

It is SO hard to find a great mechanic, who is trustworthy and has a customer's best interest in mind. That being said, I have flitted from one garage to the next with each repair my cars have needed over the last seven years. On the constant search for the elusive 'guy' that I would keep forever, I noticed when a small auto shop opened up next to my kiddo's elementary school. Sure enough, it wasn't long before I needed to go in to have a tuneup and my heater fixed. I found the shop extremely clean and organized and the owner Rick very personable and knowledgeable. I found out that years ago, Rick owned his own garage before being wooed away to work for GM (I think that was the company... little fuzzy there). Anyway, when their plant closed, Rick looked for a garage to work in but couldn't find one that met his standards! Since he was too picky for other garages he decided to open his own again. I am definitely glad he did!! He worked on my suburban, fixing everything I had trouble with and did all he could to save me money (except he said he always went with top of the line parts, as they usually have warrantees and save you money in the long run, which was fine by me!) I took my car back in today to have a broken window motor (or something) fixed and was equally pleased with our conversation and how he took on the project. He is the 'guy', and I'm so pleased that he is right here in my neighborhood.
