Outstanding. Dennis provided the estimate and a very thorough explanation of all the options. The three technicians, Patrick, Jewel and Hector, arrived promptly on the assigned day to install our new air conditioning system. They were very professional and courteous throughout the 9-hours that it took to complete the installation even though it was one of the hottest days we’ve had this summer and much of the work was completed in the attic. Their strong work ethic was very evident. They were very careful as they uninstalled the old system and carried it down the stairs and kept me informed of their progress during the day. They also installed and set up a new thermostat. They did an excellent clean up. Would definitely recommend Tiger Services.

The day after we renewed our annual Tiger Service Maintenance Agreement, our 23-year-old Rheem HVAC gave it up. This unit had been installed by Tiger Services (Air Alamo at that time) and we've maintained the annual maintenance agreement since installation. Because of its age, we had already decided it was time to replace the entire HVAC with a more efficient system. Tiger was the first on our list of the five installers we contacted, and the Tiger rep was the only one who didn't remark on the filthiness of the condenser unit. All of the other reps noted it appeared not to have been cleaned in years, as dirt was caked on the compressor and wiring and the condenser fins were completely clogged. I was irritated to learn of this, because the unit was supposed to be thoroughly washed out annually in accordance with our maintenance agreement. But I decided against complaining to Tiger, since the unit was going to be replaced anyway. Then, the final rep on our list asked if anyone had examined the unit to determine the fault, since we had a service agreement. We answered "no" because even though the agreement was in force, we would still be charged for a service call. In fact, the primary reason we had renewed it again after so many years was to potentially take advantage of the discount on a new installation, a perk in the service agreement. The rep said he would be happy to check it out at no charge, since he was already here to provide his estimate for a new installation. Ten minutes later, after again remarking how dirty it was, he found the problem, replaced the defective component with a new one from his truck, and had it running. Then he proceeded to also check the other electrical components and the coolant pressure and pronounced it OK. We paid him a nominal fee for the new part, his labor was at no charge. He said he would be happy to sell us a new installation, but as long as it's running well, why not wait until it really breaks for good? He was right, of course, as well as providing among the lowest estimates for the unit we wanted. Ironically, Tiger Services delivered one of the highest estimates for the identical installation. The following day, we telephoned Tiger Services to complain about their estimate to a loyal customer and requested a refund on our service agreement. We also demanded that Tiger Services send someone to our house to thoroughly wash out the condenser, because they had failed to live up to the service contract terms. Today, the Tiger Services owner telephoned us and agreed to refund the service agreement, but balked at our demand to make good on all of the previous agreements. I told him I would be happy to send him pics of the unit to see for himself and he wasn't interested. His reply was, "we don't think we can make you happy, so it's best if we part ways now". THAT'S WHAT WE GOT FROM THIS BUSINESS OWNER AFTER TWENTY-THREE YEARS AS A LOYAL CUSTOMER. Are we upset? You bet we are. As far as we're concerned, we wouldn't accept a new installation from Tiger Services even if it was free. They cheat their customers.

The guy did a good job performing the preventive maintenance. After the work was done, one of his recommendation was to change the capacitors and advised that if it can cost serious problems to the A/C unit, so I decided to replace it right there. I got charged almost $ 450 only for the items(labor was included with the preventive deal), then I looked up these parts in Amazon and Grainger and I found out that these parts cost no more than $20 with free delivery, at that moment I realized that I was charge 1000% more that the price in the market. I felt very dissapointed and overcharged I THINK THIS IS THE WAY THESE COMPANIES MAKE MONEY. I wanted to post this experience to make aware the customers like me, so it won't happen to other customers. On the responsiveness I gave them F because after 2 or 3 weeks of buying the service through angieslist, they suppose call me to schedule the appt however I never got the call, so I called them to schedule it.

Purchased a offer available on Angie's List, and received a call back the same day to confirm my purchase and preferred appointment time. The service technician was professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. Explained exactly what would be checked before he started, and exactly what was found when the inspection was done. There were lower priced offer available from other companies, but the quality service I received was worth the difference.

The service rep had to call the office to speak to a sales rep to come out and talk with me that afternoon. I ended up having to call the office because no one had called back. When Miquel, the sales rep, did arrive, he went over the cost of a new unit and that I would get a "really good discount. This amounted to 10% because I was an established customer. The $55 dollar service call would be taken off my invoice of first invoice from the service rep.The cost of a new unit, with discounts, was $4300.00. The next call was to the office where the earliest they could come out was the following Monday. Not acceptable. I had already gone without air for one night. They were already booked for Saturday. Miquel did offer to bring out window units which I declined. In going over the paperwork, Miquel stated the new unit would be an upgrade from the 13 seer to a 14 seer. I replied - no the unit is a 14 seer. In 10/08, I replaced the entire unit - both inside and out - for $8409.00. When I did this the sales rep, CRAIG S., had gone over my options for different seer units. I had all the original paperwork where it clearly showed my choice of a 14 seer. Miquel went over my original contract. He said that he would have to research the paperwork in the office and his words: This is my worst nightmare. The next morning, 4-21-17, Miquel called me and said that it was their mistake. He had talked to his "boss" and that i would get $390.00 off the new bringing my cost to $3950. In addition, I would now be the first service call the next morning, Saturday, 4-22-17. The paperwork the installers handed me on Saturday DID NOT include the make or model of the unit. The invoice was for $4355 ($55 service fee) for a total COMPANY REFUND OF $405.00. One of the installers had installed the new unit back in 2008. When I asked why wasn't the mistake caught back then - the reply was that they just install what's on their paperwork. Each year I have signed a contact with Tiger Services. Each year a rep has come and to service my unit and NO ONE SAID ANYTHING. I have been a customer for almost 20 years. I have referred Tiger to family and friends. NO MORE. Craig received a commission on the sale, Dennis Mollgaard received credit and made a profit off the sale. BAIT AND SWITCH IN ITS PUREST SENSE. Maybe it was because I a trusting customer who happens to be a woman. To date, 5-1-2017, i have received no follow up call, no letter from Dennis Mollgaard apologizing for their error. NOTHING to show me that my loyalty has been appreciated. If there is one of this type of incident, there are more. A $405.00 CREDIT DOES NOT MAKE WHAT HAPPENED RIGHT, DENNIS!!!!!!
Description of Work: The AC went out 2 weeks ago. I called Tiger because I have a yearly contract with them and a rep came out on 4-20-17. A service rep came out ($55) and found a leak in the coils of the outside unit. This rep said they could not replace the coils - that is not work they perform. The bottom line was that I needed a whole new outside unit. The service rep did replace the air filter. Total cost $103.00.

This issue has been resolved. After researching, it was found that Tiger Services did not make a mistake with the initial AC install. We gave this client a $400 credit for the trouble of the misunderstanding and refunded her the money of her monthly maintenance agreement. We wish things like this didn't happen, but they do. I consider myself lucky to find this company. Our 3 yr old unit had a pan full of water in our attic. What we thought was just a drain clog ended up being a much bigger issue. Apparently the previous owners of this house had a bad install job (really bad). We had a few companies come out to give us quotes and suggestions and they all pretty much said the same thing. However, the Tiger team, (Roger & Patrick) was much more thorough in evaluating the issues our system had. Plus no up-selling! I was so overly impressed with Patrick's knowledge and good work ethic. The install team had to reinstall everything in our attic and bring it up to code. They were professional, polite, and did a great job. Lesson learned? Its not about the unit's brand. You really need a quality install job to ensure the lifespan of your unit. I would absolutely recommend this company if you want a quality job at a fair price.
Description of Work: We had a leak in our coil that needed to be addressed and it turned out our whole system was improperly installed 3 years ago (with the previous house owners). We needed a complete reinstall and a new coil unit.

I knew they were going to be a good company from the beginning. The sales rep wasn't all about the sale! He actually advised that I wait until the unit went out or started acting up before replacing. I appreciated this but informed that I was upgrading everything in the house to get it ready to sell. I wanted the new owners to be worry free. They came out on the schedule date and on time! Courtesy call came in the morning to inform they were on their way! When they arrived, I was impressed to see two very clean vans! The techs were dressed clean, and spoke professional! The crew explained everything and proceeded to do the changeout. Lead tech once again pointed out that the system was in good condition and I once again appreciated hearing that they were looking out for the customer. They each knew what their role was and stayed busy throughout the entire process. I peaked inside the vans and it was very well organized. I had to compliment them for not only keeping a clean/washed van, but an organized one too! I had not one single complaint and I am a very picky (anal) person. I normally don't write reviews unless they are negative, or extremely good. I am very happy with the workmanship and will not hesitate to recommend them for any residential service! I have to give credit where credit is due! These guys were great!

Robert Montez came out a few hours after I called. He was professional, quick and got my furnace running properly again. Cleaned my flame sensor, that didn't fix but didn't hurt. New house - didn't realize polarity was so essential to furnace working. Now I know, and thats easy for me to fix properly, and I have heat again!

The technician did a great job troubleshooting and isolating the problem. He gave me options to provide only the part I needed, as opposed to upselling the part, which was very reassuring. It was a weekend call, but he did provide the discounts he could and I was up an running in about 30 minutes. That was a very hot weekend, saved me and my pet a lot of misery.

Just before this past 4th of July weekend the AC went out. They came out the next day and determined the TXU needed replacement. The invoice indicated the service was to be completed under warranty. We went entire 4th of July weekend with no AC waiting for a part. I call them on the afternoon of the 5th after having no AC for 6 days to ask for a status update. Awaiting part they tell me. OK, I figure it's under warranty and nothing I can do about it. Then I get a call back saying its going to cost $600!!!!! If I knew that on Friday, I would have called someone else and fixed it immediately instead of waiting for it to be fixed under warranty. Total bait and switch!!!! I should have called someone else, but without AC for 6 days and did not want to start from scratch. Turns out another technician comes out and determines that it was not the TXU, but a blower motor that was more readily available. I should have called someone else and next time I will. Did I mention I paid Tiger services over $9000 to install the unit just 3 years ago? This was no way to treat a loyal customer and I told them so, but guy did not seem to care.
Description of Work: I have been using Tiger Services for probably 10 years, and before this last service call I was very pleased. They helped my previous air conditioner last a few extra years and then installed a new heat pump system in 2013.

They were little more expensive than I wanted. they did an estimate and they were professional came up promptly didn't have to wait like a week or two, it was actually my A/C went out but they were a bit costly. They are very prompt but they didn't answer angieslist app at all and I was hoping they would do it, they were professional and very informative on things that I needed and with the credit situation was, I didn't need all those extra stuff so I kind of thought they were trying to up sale me and even though I know it's their professional opinion I would like a little honesty transparency I want them to kind of comparing contract. When someone A/C is out I would expect somebody to be out that same night even just for the estimate, but their willingness and promptness to get somebody out there to give me an estimate that same day I think would have made a big difference to me that would have stop me from shopping around.

I turned on my AC last night and 30 minutes later I heard dripping water coming from a light fixture in the bedroom. I called Tiger Services this morning and was concerned because I was leaving town and had a doctors appointment in the afternoon. I have a service contract and I believe it was Jessica who reassured me she would send someone over this morning. Sure enough, John came over and found a corroded pipe and faulty pump. The line was plugged with algae. John replaced the pipe and pump, flushed out the line and treated the algae. The system works well again and I now can go on my trip with peace of mind! Thank you Tiger Services.

Recently we had a power failure which resulted in one of our systems failing. Within a couple of hours, Tiger Services had sent a technician to our home. They determined that a specialized part was needed and they special ordered it so that it could be delivered the next day. We were very pleased with the quality of their work as well as the fairness of their pricing. We are very anxious to recommend their services.
Description of Work: We have used Tiger Services for a number of years because of their superior reputation for doing a great job in their area of expertise. We do have a semi-annual service contract with them that calls for cleaning and system check-ups. We have also used them for updating our two systems as technologies became available that would lower our utility bills.
