We needed to repair a large crack in our wall that continued onto the ceiling due to settling in the house. And we needed to do it quickly in order to get our house ready to sell. Plano/Richardson Home Improvement was able to fit us in their schedule immediately and complete the work in three days. They did a great job, and even touched up a few doorframe cracks in the room also! But what really surprised me is that I asked him about some patching up that needed to be done around a bathroom light, and that maybe we could have him back later to repair it. A few days after the work was all done, I noticed that he had patched up that light too and surprised me! Wow! I am so impressed with Plano/Richardson Home Improvement!

The job went very well. T.J. gave me an estimate and arrived promptly on the day that the work began. He explained everything that he was going to do down to the minor details. He coordinated with the plumber and other crew so I didn't have to worry about that. He and his helpers were courteous, professional, and very good at what they do. I have heard horror stories about bathroom or kitchen remodeling jobs that drag on for months, with the workers failing to show up or call. I didn't have to worry about that with T. J. He is reliable and trustworthy and you can count on him to show up and get the job done. My bathroom looks beautiful! T. J. is a very nice, easy going guy and I felt perfectly comfortable leaving them in my house when I went to work. The job was finished in less than a week.

TJ Brink of Plano-Richardson Home Improvement came to our house on a recommendation from Richard Walden who we hired to build our kitchen cabinets. TJ and Rich have worked together for many years so I felt confident hiring TJ. I thoroughly enjoyed having TJ work in our home. He showed up when he said we would. Did the work as promised and he even shared his professional expertise with me. When I was taping off windows to paint he explained how to put the tape up first then tuck the plastic under the tape. There was, however, one glitch. I failed to mention that I was going to save the dishwasher. Dishwashers are easy to install and mine still worked although it was 15 years old. Oops! TJ didn't know I was planning to keep it until it quit running. I now have a new dishwasher and am thrilled we had that miscommunication. To make of for the demise of said dishwasher, TJ helped my husband put the 300 pound double oven into it's new cabinet and also helped him install the vent a hood. TJ arrived with two helpers the first day. The younger of the two continued to help on subsequent days. TJ was obviously training the young man it I loved watching him teach him with patience and humor. For instance, when TJ asked the young man to saw a piece of wood that had a nail in it, TJ told him to be careful and not saw where the nail was. Then he stressed the point by saying, "I don't want a one eyed helper". I would hire TJ again and recommend him to anyone who needed a ceiling floated. I don't think anyone could do a better job than TJ did on our ceiling.

They gave an estimate, in writing and we set a date to start. We had to change to later because of some out of town guests. They arrived on time and completed the removal of the old stuff in a timely manner. They were courteous and friendly. The time frame for completion was not met and we were about 3 days over what was promised. I think there was more work than they had anticipated and they had to recruit a helper to install the tile. I am happy with the job with the exception of one thing. The plumber they used put some shims under the tub to make it level. They came in and said it wasn't necessary and removed them to install the tile. Nothing was mentioned about floating the floor or anything, and now when you shower in there the water runs into the floor. I also had to do a bit of touch up painting on the walls where the paint didn't cover. Generally it was a decent job though and they were very personable and cleaned up after themselves.

THEY WERE VERY PATIENT AND HELPFUL. THEY WERE ALSO NEAT AND CAREFUL OF PROPERTY. THEY DID QUALITY WORKMANSHIP. THEY WERE RELIABLE, PUNCTUAL AND REASONABLE.
