We came home from vacation after a week and a half, stopped by our business to check on things and walked in to a musty and damp office. We turned on the ac only to find out it wouldn't come on. We called a guy our friends use and they were very polite over the phone and came out right away. The technician was very quick and accurate. He told us the fan motor had gone out and that our unit was in very rough shape. (our mistake for not keeping up on maintenance!) We agreed to the repairs and he fixed us up right away. Within the hour our air was back on and the office was cool again! We signed up for their annual maintenance program to make sure we don't have another surprise in the future. We had just purchased a new home and were having some trouble keeping it cool upstairs. The system had been serviced recently by the previous home owner. We had a few local companies come by and give us their 'advice' on what needed to be done. It wasn't until Specialty Mechanical Solutions came out that we really got the attention and professionalism we deserved. 
As it turned out, our 1.5 story house was only using one system to heat/cool both the upstairs and downstairs. The downstairs was always very comfortable. The thermostat is in the hallway and it always seemed to hold at the temperature that we set it at. But when you went upstairs, the temperature was drastically higher! This is where our master suite is. We spend a majority of our time up here and it was just way too uncomfortable. We had to turn the thermostat down to 68 degrees just to make it 74 upstairs. The unit ran constantly and the downstairs was freezing cold. 
SMS came out as a referral from a friend of ours. They were much more knowledgeable than the others that had looked at the system before. You can tell the employees have been doing this a while and knew just what to look for. They explained that a house like ours needed to be zoned with one system, or needed to have two separate systems. We discussed all of our options and ended up going with a zoning system to help with the issue upstairs. Now we have a thermostat upstairs and downstairs and the system heats/cools each floor individually! 
We also decided to get a minisplit unit for the garage. It's my man cave/workshop/classic car storage area, so it has to stay comfortable!! Now I can work in the garage year round.. plus the unit keeps the humidity down for my vehicle, tools, and storage stuff. So glad we got these items fixed! It's like a new home! So glad we called this company.
