I have been to Lakeway Regional Medical Center for mammograms the past two years. First off, the hospital is a beautiful facility, with courteous staff, easy free parking and incredibly streamlined processes. The check-in process is smooth and there is hardly any wait. The staff in the radiology department is really great. My attendant couldn't have been more smart, patient and compassionate during what is never a 'fun' mammogram exam. It was determined I needed a more detailed mammogram to see if there were any serious issues and that also went very well. They contacted my prior mammogram provider (Austin Radiology) and got my prior scans so they could compare their results. I highly recommend the facility and its staff!

Service was fine. I have great insurance but the billing department for the hospital and the follow-up care was a disaster. Multiple accounts for the same care, complete failure of communication between the billing staff and my insurance company. We were threatened to be taken to collections even after the account was reconciled. Trying to communicate with their billing department was impossible as they rarely answered the phone. I will lose a limb before I return. Sad, as the new facility is state of the art.

It is a nice hospital. It is not as large as some hospitals in downtown Austin but it is brand new, it is privately owned and it is really an outstanding place. I have used them several times.
