Sal's Landscape & Tree Service

Sal's crew did and excellent job at our home in Denton, TX. Carlos, who visited our yard to see what we needed done and gave us the price estimate was there when the work was being done to direct the crew. The crew was professional and treated our property with care. The price charged was fair and the work was excellent! I would us them again for my tree trimming and removal needs.

Sal’s Landscape and Tree Service is extremely professional. I have had my trees trimmed several times and this has to be the best experience. They came out and gave me a great price and did a very professional job. This was a great experience, excellent company. Highly recommend Sal’s. They cut down 2 Post Oak & 1 Cedar Elm and grouted the stumps. Also, I had some stumps from previous job, they grouted those as well.

I have definitely found the right company for all of my tree service needs! Sal was recommended by my current lawn service company and when contacted, he came right out and provided a very fair quote for quite a bit of tree work around my property. Scheduling an appointment for the work to be completed was simple and the crew did an amazing job - VERY thorough work and a fantastic job cleaning up. The crew did not leave until they knew I was completely satisfied with the work! The price was very reasonable for all of the work they did (7 hours with a crew of 3 - worked hard the entire time) and payment through their office was a breeze. Thank you to the entire team from Sal's Landscape & Tree Service - I greatly appreciate the great work and courteous service!!

This man and his crew are incompetent. They did as asked in cutting down the dying Elm tree to prevent it from falling and taking out several smaller trees. However there were 2 problems with the work.
First, I called Sal 3 weeks before the service was performed and told him to do it when he was available but I didn't hear anything from the guy for weeks as to when he might be out to do the work then while I am out of town for Thanksgiving I get a call on that Saturday that he is at my house and ready to do the work. No warning at all. I was very reluctant to let him proceed since I couldn't be there to make sure it went OK but he said he was clear on what I wanted and could easily do the work that day and wasn't sure  when he could come back. When I got home from my trip I saw that the tree felling was done correctly and the stumps were left behind as instructed for me to make firewood. Then we realized the second problem.
The second problem is that I had also asked sal to clean up a very large and old Post Oak tree in our backyard. By clean up I mean remove only the obviously dead branches in the tree. Instead of removing some branches that none were larger than 4 inches in diameter, he decided to chop off a large branch that was roughly 16 inches in diameter that grew perpendicular to the ground and shaded a very large area of our backyard. The tree it self is over 100 years old and that growth will not be back in my lifetime or my son's.
My wife and I were overwhelmed by what we saw when we viewed the damage these morons had inflicted. I called Sal immediately that day and left him several other messages as well but I never received a return phone call. I never received a bill which I would not have paid because the damage he did far out weighed the cost of the work performed. I never thought to review this jerk on Angie's list until now. I got an add from Angie's list from another tree service company and it reminded me of this incident and I decided to see if this horrible company was on Angie's list at all They have a B rating which in my opinion is ridiculously generous.

If you value your landscaping and especially your trees I suggest you look for someone that actually will do what you ask and in a timely manner. These butchers will ruin your property. Our back yard was like a green cathedral and now it has a gaping hole that may never fill in.

The service was rescheduled due to rain so I was not able to observe the process. JR called and assured me that I could expect an excellent job. Upon review the following day his assurances were validated. The job was excellent and cleanup was complete. JR and other staff were polite and professional. I plan to use their services again in the future.

Unbelievable! 5 guys and stump machine was three feet wide. NO DAMAGE to fence. Had to repair a few pulled wires on low voltage deck lighting near tree on top of fence. Used 10% discount from Angie's list which covered the $7 cost of your group even though I was skeptical that I would ever use your list.

Sal came by personally to go over all the details with me and to schedule a date for his crew. His crew was efficient and prompt. No problems or complaints. Will hire again.

This is our second time using Sal's tree service and we were just as pleased with their work this time around! The crew works very hard, very clean and very fast--we were amazed at how much work was done in the amount of time they were here. They went above and beyond our expectations, even returning on their own time to cut up one very large, fallen tree, about which there had been some miscommunication (largely our fault!) Sal is very professional and punctual and we can't recommend him highly enough!!

The work was very well done, and sooner than originally scheduled. The French drain is very substantial-- several catch-basins, gravel where necessary, and the whole flow was carried under the sidewalk and to the street. 































































The crew cleaned up every twig, every clump of mud--everything was neat before they left. They were good people, well managed by Jared.  We will definitely call them for future work.

Punctual, did the work in a short amount of time, and actually cleaned up the yard much better than expected.

Sal had his employee come to give me an estimate for tree trimming.  He arrived on time and was very professional and had helpful advice. He quoted a very reasonable price for the work.  Later met with Sal to discuss additional landscape needs and I was impressed with his knowledge and advice.
