Bailey Fence & Iron

We decided not to do the job as the gate is working fine. If we do change our driveway gate, we will be using Bailey Fence and Iron. He was very fast to reply to my message and came when he said he would. I also called him one time for advice on another issue and he was kind to refer me to another service provider.

The estimate process was prompt and very thorough. I knew exactly what to expect and then was still surprised by the end product and level of service! My ornaments and plants on the deck, including a complicated home-made watering system was completely moved and then reconstructed intact with no problem. Other areas which Mr. Bailey noticed needed attention,e.g., a sticking door, he went out of his way to fix. The railing is great! In fact, the longer portion of it needed some stablization once it was installed because of it's length and Mr. Bailey came out and installed a stablizing bar right away. The work is lovely, the owner is great. And I understand this isn't even his primary business focus. It;s automatic driveway gates. I would unhesitatingly recommend him for any iron work you need.

Dowd was extremely responsive and professional. I called him on a Thursday night, he came by to evaluate the issues on Friday and was at our house on Saturday until everything had been completed.

We called Dowd yesterday. Received a call back today. He said he is real backed up, acted like he didn't want the work. Even though he is near our home, he didn't even want to come write a bid. We wanted a fairly simple attractive bi-parting gate and were extremely open to pricing and suggestions, but I guess we have to keep looking.

Dowd saves the day again!!!  We had previously used Dowd to replace a battery in our gate, and when a freak wind storm completely broke our existing gate in half, we knew exactly who to call.  Dowd was able to rebuild a completely new gate for us from scratch at a very good price.  Not only that, he is a very nice person to work with and communicates very well.  We will always use him in this home and future homes for our gate needs.  Thanks Dowd!!!

Dowd did a great job.  He showed up to give us an estimate and then started the work in about a week.  Because the project was large and involved concrete it took a few days.  He had a helper one or two days, but did all the important work, like welding himself.  He provided advice and guidance for teh best way to set the gate up and through in free-painting at the end.  Overall great experience and I'd reccomend him to anyone to either isntall a new gate or repair a preexisting one.  I feel very fancy and secure now with my automatic gate.  Price was good for how big of a project it was.

The price was the best part because they were below other people’s estimates. They came out pretty quickly. It looks pretty good except there are some spots on it that looks like they are rusting on the bottom. It was not supposed to be that. There was supposed to be a special coating to prevent rust. Actually, I was trying to get them to come back out because I think I see some rust coming up on this thing, but I have not been able to get hold of anybody. I think they were more into other kind of thing. I think this was just a sideline. They were trying to get a roofing job; that was what they were trying to do.

Dowd was prompt, firendly, his prices are reasonable and he was very professional.

Service provided was excellent!  He was very knowledgeable, efficient, and charged us a fair price.  We will definitely use him again!

The job went smoothly, as always. For several years, Mr. Bailey has been our go-to guy for the repair of an electric wrought-iron gate installed by someone else. The gate wasn't installed properly to begin with and was breaking down every month, so Mr. Bailey made the necessary adjustments and the gate now goes for far more than a year at a time without problems. We now call him when the battery dies or when an old solder fails, as was the case recently with the gate arm.

Project went well overall. Great work.

Because of delays in other jobs, this job was delayed, but once started, it was finished promptly. The fence/gate fits our requirements perfectly.

Bailey repaired the iron gate in my driveway by welding an additional piece of metal to the gate and bolting it more securely to the side of my house. It had been poorly done before and had pulled away from the house. It is so solid now I cannot imagine it moving again. He repainted the gate where necessary.
