They gave feedback. They're good with the pet. The pet is happy and calm when we go home. They sent me pictures every day. It was $20 a day. They were great. I have nothing negative to say.

The Pet Granny came highly recommended to us by a colleague a couple years ago; we are so glad she was! We've been using Ree and her team ever since, and Cooper (our 10yo black lab) and Oliver (5yo cat who thinks he's a dog, as Cooper raised him like one ~ fantastic) absolutely love the care and attention they get. Last summer when the temperatures here in Dallas were regularly 100+, our AC crapped out while we were on vacation. Not only did Ree immediately call us; she also ensured the repair team came, and was willing to have Cooper and Oliver stay with her if need be. She saved their lives ~ and further destruction to our AC unit.
I have been so impressed with The Pet Granny that I began working with Ree and her team last Labor Day weekend, and trust me ~ there's SO much more to and quot;pet sittingand quot; than simply picking up poop and feeding the animals!

I had a previous bad experience with these folks and told myself not to use them again. Unfortunately I didn't follow my own advice. I contacted them through their website and asked for pet sitting on every other day of the following week. I received the following in reply:

As professional pet sitters we recognize the fact that cats do not require the same and quot;kindand quot; of emotional support during the absence of their owners as is required by dogs. However, cats do require fresh water and food every day; and litter boxes should be cleaned daily (especially so when there are three cats). We have discussed our policy with you in the past which states that we DO NOT do ANY pet sitting where there is more than a twenty-four hour expanse between visits. We strongly feel that to not see a pet for as much as 48 hours not only places the pet(s) in a possible dangerous position, but it also places our company in an increased position of liability. Therefore, unless you are willing to convert to daily visits we will regrettably have to decline taking care of your pets. (actual names redacted.) The cost is $20.00 a day (one visit per day); and should there be medications to administer there is an additional charge of $5.00 for each day medication is administered. Payment is due PRIOR to you leaving town.
Should you decide to have us take care of the cats, please let me know as soon as possible because our available time slots are quickly filling up.and quot;
I find this company's policy rather outrageous. I've worked as a pet sitter, have a friend who owns a rather large pet sitting company in Chicago and I have used a number of them in the 20+ years I have had pets. I have never heard of ANY company that refuses to do every other day visits. An extra charge is understandable but a complete refusal is absolutely incredible.
Secondly, Their customer service is abysmal. The only thing I remember about our previous encounter with this company was a conflict about a mysterious charge for picking up the key. I don't recall conversations on other policies. Perhaps they did tell me that they wouldn't do every other day visits previously but I am amazed at the rude manner in which they chose to remind me of their absurd policy.
Additionally, I really don't appreciate being lectured on the emotional and physical needs of my pets. These three animals have been my companions for many years. I think I know at least as well as anyone what they need. We travel frequently. My normal pet sitter comes every other day. I've never had any difficulty with my animals. I don't appreciate being lectured about leaving my pets in a dangerous position. Using guilt as a sales technique is simply sad.
There are many good pet sitters in the area. Avoid this one!
