Louden's was the third repair shop we visited to figure out why our car battery was draining. From the start, Jon gave use excellent customer support and gain our confidence. He was thorough in his explanation and educated us every step of the way. His tests showed the radio was the problem. An expensive part to replace, Jon was patient as we researched the best solution.

Diagnosis of battery drainage while BMWx5 was off. Identified radio as the issue. Replaced radio.

I've used Louden for multiple BMW and Mercedes vehicles over the past 6 years, and have referred friends as well. They are always professional, responsive, and happy to explain any and all issues. While repairs on BMW, Mercedes, and Porsche are never cheap, Louden is reasonably priced compared to dealership work. I highly recommend Louden without any reservations.

Repaired issues from pothole tire blow-out, including 4 new run-flat tires, re-forming 2 wheels, replaced struts, control arm bushings, and wheel alignment. Also replaced radiator, hoses, and cap.

Teresa made the arrangements super fast for the very reasonably priced rental car so I was on my way. Later in the day, Chuck contacted me with the bad news (see above). I don't like spending the $, but as long as my car is reliable and safe, you do what you gotta do. My car is no spring chicken, and I Iove BMW's so it's worth it. I have to mention this. On a different visit to Louden's, I accidentally left my hoodie in the rental car. After I called them about it, Jon mailed it to me at his own expense. I call that great customer service

Friendly and knowledgeable. I had just purchased a used 911 with a non functioning navigation system. I met Steve and told him of the problem and he told me to bring it in.Turns out someone had crammed a second cd in the single cd nav slot. Not only did they fix it in a jiffy but told me about other features on the car. Great service and I'll be back next time I need any work done!

My husband took the car back to the shop they said we will check it over and give you a call. They gave us a loaner until they give us a return call.

When we first started using this service provider 15 years ago we thought they were pretty good. Over the years there has seem to be a gradual deterioration. We have a 1998 Mercedes 300 E Diesel. We took the car in and it was running fine. We took it in for an oil change and a filter change. On the way back home the fuel pump wasn't working and the air conditioner was not working.

Have given you the details above. My car needed scheduled servicing; received an estimate from the dealer from which I purchased it, NEW; very unhappy and doubting the accuracy of the bid for what was to be the first service it was to receive and for which I must pay - previously all work was covered by the BMW warrantee. I called the gentleman who "details" my car to see if he knew where I could take it; he gave me Louden's name. Am I glad? Yes. Everything was most satisfactory, in fact everything was wonderful. I do thank you for asking and giving me the opportunity to place praise where praise is due. ..

For the above mentioned $2,500 he performed the 50K mile service on my BMW 745Li. To elaborate on the almost $11K estimate I received from the dealer would be useless and stating what I consider to be the obvious.. Louden not only did NOT repair several items the dealer indicated were "dangerously" worn, "broken" or could possibly "soon cause an accident". I was shown several items scheduled to be repaired or replaced by the dealer; even to my eyes, there was no need. . For once being a tall, somewhat attractive blond, in a big black BMW 745Li did not influence the price or the courteous treatment- I am assuming. The attention I received was immediate, courteous and hopefully accurate. Only time will tell on that topic, however I DO plan to take this car to them in the future and until they prove themselves untrustworthy. Above this, which would be the treatment I would normally expect, they gave me a loaner car while mine was out of service; this was 5 days which did include a weekend. They do not work on weekends. All around, this was most pleasant experience.

My wife's 2001 BMW 740iL had a dead battery and after getting she called in a jump-start from AAA, she took it to Louden Motors to have the battery replaced. But they wanted to first check the root cause of the battery drain for free so it would not drain the new battery. That is the right thing to do. They kept the car for 2 days and arranged for a rental car for her from Hertz (on-site) for $25/day. Once they determined that it was mainly the issue of a 5 year old battery, they put in a new one for a fair price. HP

The lady that answered was nice. She transferred me to the service department who made the appointment. They were nice, shook my hand, clean, better than expected. They cleaned my car before giving it back. Price as quoted.

I dropped off my car in the morning and picked it up the next day. It sounded better and I'm getting a little better mileage. Major service - used a lot of new parts.

1. Air conditioner is now functioning very well 2. Excessive engine vibration fixed The Mercedes has 140,000 miles on it. All the maintenance work and repairs have been done by Louden once out of factory service. this has included some major heating work among other repairs requiring removing the whole dashboard to replace the heating core and replacing everything without any rattles and functioning like new I have taken care of the auto with timely maintenance and repairs thanks to the team at Louden Motor Car. I am a particular customer. Every thing most be done right the first time. I have been using Louden since 1984 when the BMW dealership screwed up the engine injector system on a update of the fuel injectors and everything has been done to my satisfaction. I have a 528i and a 135i still under factory warranty. Once their out of factory service , Steve Louden and James Moir and team will take care of these autos as well as the Mercedes.

1999 Mercedes E class turbo 1. Air conditioner not functioning well traced to a bad heating sensor requiring removing engine intake, etc and replacing the engine coolant sensor, Evacuate and replace freon,update ac service fittings. Install new coolant cap 2. Replace engine motor mounts (excessive vibration) 3. Minor inspection service including engine oil filter,air filter interior micro filter,change brake fluid,replace fuel filter. Wiper blades replaced my request. Chip in windshield fixed outside service. Inspection included Battery cables and test battery.Check all fluid levels Tires and air pressure. Windshield washers inspect front and rear shell bearings Inspect engine compartment. Inspect throttle linkage and lubricate.Check drive belt condition. Inspect automatic transmission linkage.Check exterior lighting. Inspect suspension and steering components,shocks and struts,drive shaft,brakes,cv joints and axel,reset service lights,state inspection.

I am a fan of taking care of my cars. I learned, years ago, that to do otherwise costs me money in the end. Trusting Louden Motorcars decisions of what is needed has paid off for me over the many years. I stand by the original review. They are the Best. UPDATE 6/11/13 Still my go-to place for excellent, thorough, trustworthy service!! I was very sorry to read the complaint. Hard to believe it was Louden.

This is my first complaint letter ever but my experience was too extreme not to warn other people about it. I have been going to Loudon for years and the last few visits have been a nightmare. I have since learned Steve is retired and thus no longer there. It is probably best for him that he not see what his company has become. My most recent story goes like this. I had set my time a week in advance. I arrived and was getting out of my car to leave my keys and a guy came out and yelled ?Don?t park there?I asked where I should park as no other space was available?.He rudely yelled Any place but there. Even though I had this time set aside to look at my car, it took them two days to look at it. They never phoned me so I finally called them. They told me a thousand bucks to repair. Seemed way WAY to high for what I was having done. I asked to email me the estimate so I could check out how much the work would be else where. NEVER got a fax. Since I wasn?t able to check it out, I had to let them fix it so I could get my car back. It took a week to repair something that another place could have done for far less. DON?T go to LOUDON thinking you are going to get the GOLD service you did 4 or 5 years ago.

I needed a new battery and new tires, plus a general checkup for 60,000 miles. I had purchased the car used, and as my first experience with Louden, had chosen them to evaluate the car before I purchased it. I have been going to them for service since my purchase and have always had a good experience there. I feel that they are honest, and they are always friendly and accommodating, as well as doing good work.

It went perfectly, as expected, and well.

I had had a flat tire and after it had been changed I immediately drove to Louden. They ordered new tires for me, put them on and did all the things that should be done in doing so. As always I felt good having them on my job, knowing every part of the job would be done well.

They are very pleasant and nice but have no respect for you time.

They are almost as expensive as the BMW dealership. All I wanted was an oil change. I dropped my car off at 930am and they did not call me all day. I then called them at 430pm to see the status when he proceeded to give me and estimate of nearly 7000 dollars of everything that was wrong with the car. I understand that some things need to be done on the car, but they wanted 440 just for the oil change. The dealership charges 195 So after having my car ALL day I ended spending 150 for absolutely NOTHING done to the car. And still no oil change... WHAT A WASTE OF MY TIME

After being in business for 35 years, we have learned to deal with the facts in any situation. The following are the facts relating to this post: "All I wanted was an oil change" Not true. This client requested, in writing and signed,an oil change, diagnosing the various warning lights on her dash plus registering the battery, in her on-board computer, that she had installed elsewhere. Upon initial diagnosis, we downloaded the computer memory which revealed several stored faults with different systems. A brake warning light was on as well as the needed service indicator light.There was aslo a large engine oil leak and evidence of an engine coolant leak. It was obvious that the car needed extensive work and thus the oil change was delayed until after the customer was advised of needed service and repair work as changing the oil would have wasted expensive synthetic oil had she authorized repairing the large engine oil leak. "They did not call me all day" Not true. The customer was called and a voice message left, around noon, that we had estimates for needed service and repair work. We did not receive a call back until 4:30 PM. At that time the client was advised of the service and repair work needed. She was informed which areas had priority, one of which was the large engine oil leak. She then told us that the car did not belong to her and she would need to consult with Chad Coffee, the presumed owner. We asked her is she would like us to email her a two page detailed computerized estimate and she said yes.She was then emailed a detailed description of needed work along with a two page estimate. She said that she would call back to approve what she wanted us to do. She did did not call back and showed up unannounced, at closing time, to pick up the car. "They wanted $440 just for the oil change". Not true. The $440 was for the needed complete scheduled maintenance, not just the oil change. The oil service cost is $110 which counters her statement that "They are almost as expensive as the BMW dealership which charges $195 for the same operation". "I ended up spending $150 for ABSOLUTELY nothing done to my car". Not true. Extensive time was spent investigating the several problem areas and downloading the onboard computer fault codes. The client and Mr, Coffee now have a detailed written report of their car, much like an xray or physical examination. She was charged a very reasonable $112 for all the time spent on her car by a master certified technician. The remainder was for the HERTZ rent car of which Louden Motorcars subsidized part of the cost. In conclusion, we went out of our way to comply with this client's requests and regorously dispute the untrue statements she made in her post which certainly counters our outstanding award winning service history which includes a record three times as "D" Magazine's Best and the 2011 Angie's List Super Service Award of which we are very proud. I have for a garage specializing in German (BMW) vehicles outside of the dealership. Dealership service in my experience has been apathetic at best in spite of the fancy ammenities. The folks at Louden were down to earth and seem to care about their customers. They took the time to discuss my vehicle issues and options at length. They helped me prioritize my repairs to manage costs and didn't try and upsell me on repairs that could wait. Because they aren't working for BMW, they gave me honest feedback on my vehicle. Their pricing was cheaper than the dealership by about $350. When they kept my vehicle a day longer than anticipated, they waived that day's fee on the rental car without me having to ask them about it. Keep up the good work Louden team-

I has asked multiple times to have the car ready by 4 when I showed up, but it still took another 45 minutes to have the car ready. It was also more expensive than if I had taken it to the dealer. Finally, every since I had my car serviced there, there has been a leak in my wiper fluid hosing.
