Dring Air Conditioning and Heating did install a new system at their home. After the initial installation there was a problem with the evaporator coil cabinet "sweating" inside the mechanical closet. Dring replaced the evaporator coil at no cost to the homeowner but the condition persisted. Since the system was installed per the manufacturer's installation guidelines Dring contracted Carrier and arranged a site visit with Carrier. During that visit the Technical Representative from Carrier noted that the attic insulation/ventilation was woefully insufficient, as had been pointed out by others as well. In addition the Technical Rep recommended that one duct run be moved from the top of the supply plenum not the end/top. At no time during this part of the process was there ever any discussion or comment made about the system being too "powerful" for the home or the existing duct work. The homeowner was told that the new system was installed in accordance with the manufacturer's guidelines Dring went above and beyond to identify the cause of the excessive "sweating" and determined that a transition was needed between the furnace and evaporator coil in order to properly distribute air across the entire surface of the coil, again at no cost to the homeowner. Dring has to date installed a total of 3 evaporator coils 3 Infinity Controls. The "sweating" issue was resolved after the last evaporator coil was installed and the drain line was insulated. The Infinity Control, being replace twice, was an issue Dring felt warranted the manufacturer becoming involved in since the installed is correct, in accordance with the manufacturer's guidelines and was inspected and passed by the local code inspector. As for the same operation of the system, the concerns that were raised were addressed directly to the homeowner but the answer(s) seemed not to satisfy the homeowner. Dring's Service Manager is NATE certified and a Class A license holder, inspected the system after the final changed were made and communicated to the homeowner that the plenum and combustion air system are safe and comply with code and industry standards and that flickering of the lights is actually normal as the HVAC system is the largest electrical load in the home. Dring's history and reputation are that of exceptional customer service as evidenced by the Carrier Distinguished Dealer award. We have bent over backwards to address the complaints and concerns expressed by the Kastor's, including providing service and warranty replacement on Saturdays.NEW RESIDENTIAL CONSTRUCTION.
