Ehlers Roofing & Renovations

I paid them according to the terms of their contract and they gladly took the money. However, improper installation caused extensive leaks into the attic and subsequently into the ceiling causing part of the ceiling to collapse. Had to hire another roofing company to repair the roof along with painting contractors to repair and repaint the ceiling. Ehlers refused to pay for the damage. We sued and won a judgement. Ehlers still refuses to pay. We have hired a law firm to pursue collection. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED !!

Our experience started off good. The manager that came out to give us the estimate was very nice and professional. The work crew that came out to do the work arrived early and was very efficient - not too messy. However, there seemed to be a communication and/or language barrier between the manager and the work crew because the work was not completed as discussed at the time the estimate was given. The crew had to repair the roof 3 times in two months. Six months later, the roof leaks again; now worse than ever. They have been slow to respond to our calls for assistance (our roof is thankfully under warranty still) and we are still waiting to hear back from them (4 days later with more rain on the way). I will update the report after they respond.

The supervisor was well trained in handling the crew, which made the job go much faster and more organized than it normally would have. They arrived early and worked until dinner time on both days of the job. They did a brilliant job with the new roof. It looks great and the sound of heavy storms is now muffled compared to the old roof. There were a few shingles around the yard but it was very windy during the work, so that should not be surprising.
