The original quote for $245.00 was to replace the lower panel and insure door was operating correctly. I asked the rollers be replaced which brought the total to $300.00. Fast, professional.... will do business again.

I contacted Doug Holloway, the owner, on Monday, June 15th to inquire about replacement of my garage door. He said it could be done that Wednesday and was going to call me back with a time frame. He called back and asked if it could be done on Tuesday instead. Sure! Ray showed up on Tuesday well within the two hour window I was given. He was personable, professional and competent. He explained what he had done and offered tips on maintenance. I would highly recommend Independent Overhead Doors to family and friends.

Called on Monday about a garage door that would open or close. Independent Overhead Doors arrive a little afte 9am the next morning, as scheduled. It took him about 2 minutes to realize that the sensor and track on one side had been knocked slightly out of alignment. He quickly unscrewed the bottom piece of track, corrected the alignment and reattached everything. He was very professional the entire time, was honest about the problem and was fair in his pricing. We will call them again the next time we have a problem with our garage doors.

I am VERY pleased with IOD, they are professional, punctual and did great work for a great price. I contacted Doug late in the afternoon on June 9th and he scheduled my appointment for the very next day. Doug was very courteous and thorough in explaining pricing and provided an over the phone estimate when I told him the work that was needed. Cary was our serviceman and he was just as nice and detail oriented. The work was done quickly and very well. Cary even took the time to come back after he had already left just to double check our rollers, which weren't even part of the work we had requested. He changed one of the bottom rollers for a longer one to make it more secure and he even reinforced the door, which was another extra he did just out of courtesy. I could not be happier with their service, they are wonderful to work with and I will definitely recommend them to my friends and family. Top notch company:-)

Called with a door that had broken and a panel had come off. We needed it done quickly as we had a funeral to attend out of town and did not want to leave garage open while we were gone. Called and they had someone out the next AM! On time, great work and went the extra mile to take care of us quickly. Every person including the installers were polite and had great customer service.

My garage door was opening on its own, which is not an easy problem to figure out. Cary arrived promptly and talked through potential causes and we landed on resetting program as a first step. At this time, I have not had any other problems with the door opening on its own. It was a great experience to have someone like Cary that was knowledgable and made recommendations as opposed to going straight to the most expensive resolution.

I called Doug on Tuesday morning to give me a bid on replacing a very old single car garage door in an old house in Burleson. He drove down to Burleson that afternoon and examined the situation and gave me a bid which included moving the infrared sensors since he said they would not pass code the way they were currently installed. He loaned me a set of metal color chips so I could get my wife to decide on the color. I called him on Wednesday and told him what color I wanted and to go ahead. He drove back to the house to bring me the two new remotes and rekeyed the code numbers and set up the actual door install for the next day at noon. Two installers arrived on Thursday at noon and spent a little over two hours replacing the old door. They had to take down all the old tracks and redo most of the wiring since the old door was so poorly installed years ago. They did a very professional job and wanted to make sure I was perfectly satisfied before they left. This superb service did not surprise me since I had used this company several times to make repairs on the two car garage at my Arlington home over the years and always found the work to be very professional and the cost very reasonable.

6:00 am Realized my spring was broken and both cars were stuck inside. 7:00 am Called expecting to leave a message and Doug answered the phone and quoted me a price and said he could be right over. 7:30 am He showed up at my house. 8:00 am My garage door spring was fixed and everything lubricated!!! Great customer service! Very Friendly!

They did an awesome job. They were great and reasonably priced. They saved us a lot of money, as another provider stated we would need to completely replace the door. I love to work with people who have honesty and integrity and they displayed this throughout the job.

One of the 2 garage doors had a broken spring, so we got on Angie's list to review and chose them to schedule on-line. Got a call back first thing in the morning even before I got to work, and was able to get someone in the same late afternoon instead of the online schedule date which was the following day. Got call when repair man got here, soft spoken, easy going guy, gave me brief explanation of what may or may not be needed (if he had ready made parts for replacing spring since our door was odd size). Let him checked and confirmed it was a custom door size, but he has the part that would work. Told me would be $230 after tax and explained warranty (1 year parts, 30 days labor). I asked about higher grade door spring that may last longer. He said there was, like a custom spring, but not sure would add much longevity. Did not push for a custom spring, explained even though warranty was 1 year, most would last 7-8 years or longer. Had seen some go out faster, but I was glad to know they last longer than warranty typically. Our lasted 7 years at least since we got house at least since 2008. He did the job without bothering me much and explained about maintenance (I have lubricated alot more than needed - excess building up), and answered my questions about whether it might last longer if we left door open and the spring not in tension (technically yes, but may not be enough to make it last forever since he had seen some that stayed close all the times and last a long time. Checked the other bolts, and fixed some so would not get in the way of rollers. He showed me how one door was better constructed, and found a crack in one, and suggested a reinforcement strut he can do, only adding $30 to it. Best part was that he tell me sometimes, need to use common sense to decide if you really need to fix something, instead of trying to repair every thing not in order. Since ours was working even when the sides were not properly lined up, left it up to us; and showed me how door still work due to enough slack in the system. He asked for my permission before sticking a card on the wall for future reference. Not a sales man, just someone who worked good 18 years and have seen all sorts. Fixed it before my wife came home to a working garage door.

Doug was super responsive throughout the process and Cary did a great job on the install. Punctual, professional, and really reasonable on pricing. Even with the tricky force adjustments and the sudden capacitor blowout, Cary was in and out in just over 3 hours. I'd definitely do business with Independent again.

Carey at overhead door was great. He answered all my questions, came within the window of time that was quoted, called to let me know he was on the way and did a fantastic job. Also gave me some tips on preventative maintenance. Door is now operating smoother than when it was new. I will now be using Independent Overhead Door whenever I need to maintenance or repair my garage door.

The repairman was later than Inexpected, but had called, explained the delay, and showed up at the revised time. He was courteous, and did the work in a timely manner.

Our spring to the garage door snapped in half and the system stopped working. Doug came out to our house within 30 minutes of calling him on a Sunday during the crummiest day of the season (right before an ice storm). Replaced our spring within 45 minutes. Great guy and extremely thankful he was able to stop by and fix our door for us so quickly.

I called late in the afternoon and was given an appointment for early the next morning. Cary came out and replace the broken spring and checked everything. He was very thorough and did not recommend any additional work. Even replaced a burned out bulb. I was very happy with the service and will use them again when needed.

Caryrepaired my garage door that had been damaged coming off the track a few months earlier. Originally I had a different company insist that I should replace the whole door (which would require replacing both garage doors to match) because the repair would cost just as much. So I went for months without being able to use the garage door. I tried my luck on IndependentOverheadDoors and he fixed it quickly and even serviced the other door for a great price, I highly recommend these guys.

From the estimate to the I stall at ion everything went excellent. Doug arrived on time and went over everything he could do within my budget to replace garage door and opener. After accepting the bid, Doug scheduled the installation and had the job completed on time and on budget. At no time did he try to sell services I did not need. He was able to install an insulated door in the color I wanted with a Liftmaster opener with the ability to open or close from my smartphone. The old door was hauled away and the area was cleaned. I couldn't be more pleased.

Cary came out to fix my garage door, which had a broken torsion spring and one of the cables had come off the roller. He arrived during the time window set up the day before with Doug. He replaced my broken torsion spring with two new springs and performed a host of other repairs such as fixing the faulty wiring in one of my garage door senors (which kept the door from going down due to a bad connection), replacing a few missing screws in my opener (which made it a lot quieter) and inspected the rollers. He did not try to push anything or make a sale pitch at all. He gave me an honest assessment of what needed to be replaced and what could wait a few more years before replacement. The price was exactly what he stated before he began the work and he was done in just a little over an hour. If I ever run into any garage door issues again, I will definitely be giving them a call!

I thought we needed a complete door replacement. Tech came and determined that a much less costly option was to install 3 struts across the width of the door. It's actually better than the original (very stable). He continued to work checking all points, tightening screws etc. I am very happy with this service. Cost was much less than I was expecting and the solution was straight forward.
