Independent Overhead Doors

I called around 10:00am and they were there doing to job at 3:00 pm. IOD honored the $20.00 coupon that they advertise on Angie's list. They gave me a fair price on the first estimate. They were able to give me an estimate over the phone. The two man crew was knowledgeable and know what they were doing. They cleaned up after they were done. They tested the door multiple times before they left. I was satisfied with the experience I had with IOD.

Everything went fine. The workers that came were a little careless like they threw their metal things on the driveway and made a crack on the brand new driveway. The guy who owns the place and the one I have talked to, to schedule everything. He did great. He was very professional and helpful. It was just the guys he hired that did the actual work were a little careless. I think they were in a hurry.

Doug came out the same day I called to give me an estimate on replacing my 8x7 garage doors. It was reasonable and he was able to schedule the repair within my time frame. His installers called an hour before arrival to tell me they were running about 30 minutes late, but still arrived within 15 minutes of their appointment time. They worked fast and got the doors, new tracks, springs, and door opener adjustments done in less than three hours. And the doors look and work great, Final bill was exactly what I was quoted (You can find installed doors for less, but the quality of the service is worth the little extra I paid). I had a great experience with this company and feel comfortable recommending them.

Independent Overhead Door provided excellent service. They were able to send someone the same day I called. Cary, the technician who came out, was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. The garage door in the house we just bought was disconnected and had not been used in over 20 years. I was sure we would have to buy a new one. Nope! Cary got ours working perfectly. He explained exactly what the problems were, and what he was going to do to correct them. He was even nice enough to install a used receiver and give us two used remotes. He obviously was concerned about giving us good value for the money and not just with making a sale. His outstanding service had made me a customer for life. I highly recommend this company.

I think for what they did I was charged kind of high, overpriced. I called them out a couple of months later. I was having some issues with the garage door going up and down. They came out and they fixed it but one time they wanted to charge me which I felt was inappropriate. Overall, I think they did okay.

Our call was returned almost immediately. Cary came out within an hour of us calling. He explained several options to fix the old garage door lift. We decided to go with a new one. He installed it in just over an hour and explained how to program the remotes. Cary also installed a wireless keypad outside the garage and showed us how to program that as well. He also explained wireless options that we can get later on if we decide to go that route. Very nice guy. Will definitely use this company again.

Great experience working with a company that does honest, complete work without trying to charge you for something you don't need!

The installer was prompt, arriving when he said he would. He assessed the problem and asked how I wanted to proceed fixing the problem. He provided me a couple of options, one in which I chose to replace the unit. He also explained the available additional features such as wireless control via my cellphone. He helped guide me on how to register the product online prior to implementing use of its wireless capabilities. I never felt pressured by any sales tactics or other suspicions, instead, I felt confident in his workmanship and knowledge. In the end, I have a new high quality garage door opener with a chain track, two new sensors, new wall switch, outdoor keypad and two new remotes for the cars, not to mention the ability to use an app on my iPhone to open and close the door from anywhere (home internet service required). I highly suggest using this company based on character, not fancy work trucks or salesmen trying to offer more than you really need. This is an honest working guy doing what he knows best; what more do you need?

Our garage door was in need of maintenance. It was misbehaving by moving up and down instead of just up....or down. This company originally provided installation of these doors a few years ago. The doors have been wonderful. The fellow came out and found our issue, repaired it in a professional and timely manner. He suggested other things we could have done in the future, but was not in the least bit pushy. We will use these folks again!

Owner, Doug, emailed me & called me on Sunday to arrange repair for next day. The technician, Cary, came at assigned time window. He removed my 1 large broken spring and replaced with 2 springs. He changed all rollers from metal to nylon. He recommended to change the worn out end plates. He completed the repair within 1.5 hours. Last, Cary reprogrammed garage door opener to ensure prefect seal with floor. My garage door has never been so quiet that now we hardly know if someone is parking a car. Believe me, the internet shows you how but Independent Overhead Doors (IOD) are the experts in garage repair. Well worth the money $$$.

Excellent service. They replaced my garage door and even hooked it up to the old garage door opener I thought didn't work. They ran a new wire to the button and it works just fine. I bought one of their deals. $650 for a new garage door.

Came back from a trip and found the spring in the garage door had broken and warped the lower panel of the garage door when it slammed down. Called these guys and they came out and had it fixed in no time at all. Simply excellent service.

The spring on my garage door broke over the weekend. I searched the list to find a provider to fix the problem and found a deal to have that done. Doug the owner contacted me promptly and scheduled to do the work on Monday. He showed up as promised and did a great job.

I was very happy with the quality of the opener and the work. I have used IOD for years on my personal home and investment properties. They always give extra advice and help. Don't be fooled by super cheap coupons hung on your door. Get a professional company like IOD to do the job.

Service excellent. Came out on Labor Day holiday after our opener stopped working. Install went smooth and couldn't be more pleased with company.

Our garage door overhead cable came off the spool and wrapped itself on the bar when lowering the door with an obstruction in the way. Independent Overhead Doors came out in the same day, assessed the issue, provided a quote and performed the repair. They are highly reliable, professional not fancy, and give an an honest assessment and do not oversell or try to pad the work as others in the trade. This is a very basic straightforward firm that performs what is required.

Came out the day I called, quoted a fair price and sent a work crew out the next day. Crew arrived on time, knew what they were doing, quickly removing old doors and installing new doors and motor. Cleaned up. The new motor is quieter and faster than the old one. We had some issues getting the HomeLink on our cars to work with the new opener. He had a HomeLink Repeater (which is needed to make it work) in stock and brought it to us. Then he installed it and got it to work on both of our cars! Great company!

I have contacted 3 different garage door companies regarding the installation of windows into my existing sheet metal garage door. One provider never bothered to call me back. The other one showed up and could not tell the make of my door and asked me to find out the make from my house builder. IOD folks were different. They answered my call from the first time and asked me for pictures of the door and promised to get back to me within a day to let me know if they can help. Sure enough, they got back to me and were able to figure out the make of the door based on the pictures I sent, Within two days from contacting them, they installed the windows in my garage. Also at no additional charge they installed new springs in my control box, tuned up the door and fixed my remote control. Cary is the technician who worked on my door. He was truly professional and took his time to ensure every thing worked and looked good. I highly recommend this place and will recommend it to family and friends.
