The initial contact and communication with Handyman Matters was good. However, the length of time to complete the job was excessive due to the fact the first craftsman they provided did not do a very good job patching, repairing, texturing and paintng the drywall. He was also late on 2 follow-up appointments. He then quit the company in the middle of my job and a second one had to come in and complete it. The second craftsman did a much better job, however this caused my room to be out of commission for several weeks. I would consider using them again, based on the fact management of the company in the end worked with me in getting the job done right and adjusting the price (materials, time and labor) of the first craftsman.

Overall the experience was excellent. The price that I listed above is the total price for both jobs combined. They are very accommodating, friendly and explained everything in detail. We are preparing to move back into a house that we own and had lived in previously for 16 years. There are many things that the house needs by way of repair and updating. Dan walked around the house and told me all the things that he and this company can do (which is just about everything ). We can't do it all at once but as we can do things, we will be calling Handyman Matters.

Our service man showed up on time and did the requested work in an efficient manner including matching the color of the tile caulk in the kitchen perfectly with the grout color. I definitely use this company again.

I spoke with the owner of the company yesterday and told him what I wanted to have done. He gave me a time estimate which was spot on. He said that Kent would call me that evening, which he did. Kent reviewed my repair list by phone and made sure I understood the billing protocol and told me he would be at my door at 9 AM the next day. Kent arrived on time and worked fast and efficiently and finished my list ahead of schedule. He suggested that I purchase my items ahead of his arrival instead of my paying for his time to run to Lowe's for me. I trusted him to pick out the items that I needed and the prices were fair. I hate shopping at Lowe's because I get lost and wander and am never sure what is the best choice for my needs. I also thought I needed weather stripping for my front door. Kent was very honest and told me that my door was fine and the metal flashing was in good shape and I didn't need to do any repairs there. While Kent was at my house I started my next list of repairs and Kent was able to check in my attic to see if I had spare tiles for my kitchen and also tell me what kind of caulk to buy. I won't be so intimidated by Lowe's this time. Kent was not only very personable but also very professional. I felt perfectly at ease with him in my home. I am so glad to have finally found a wonderful handyman. Thank you, I am preparing for the next visit already. I got more than I expected for my money. I would recommend Kent and Handyman Matters to all of my friends. I also like the fact that they don't use subs.

Very well. Very nice and professional. Attention to detail and proud of his work. Wants to do a quality job. Good communication which was appreciated. They take the time to make sure the job is done right. This eats into the hourly rate. Some other companies might be faster, but I'm satisfied in knowing my job was done right.

I called Wednesday morning and spoke to Christy. She was very professional and very helpful. She had Kent on my door step at 1:00 pm just as promised. Kent was very quick and cleaned up after himself and did a very nice job without trying to "upgrade" me. He estimated 2 hrs and that is exactly what I got charged plus materials which he purchased at Home Depot. He called from the store to ask if the price was ok before he made the purchase. Loved the service. Definitely use them again and ask for Kent.

John came out initially and gave me an estimate of the number of hours he thought it might take to complete the jobs. The final cost was based on hours work and he came in under his initial estimate. He worked quickly and did a thorough job. Always told me what he was doing and why. Will definitely use him again.

I called and scheduled with Cindy and she asked about the issue I needed resolved and gave a ballpark number on her guess of the approximate cost. Larry, the handyman called me the night before to confirm. He arrived promptly on time and went through to evaluate everything and already had ideas on how to fix stuff. He went to Home Depot to get his supplies and came back and went to work right away. He told me everything he was going to do in great detail and I apprecaited that. I have a backdoor with a door frame rotting and I showed it to him. I'm going to setup another time for him to focus on that alone since it would require him removing the frame to repair it and he had ideas on preventing the rot in the future. Overall, I am very pleased and will use them again.

I called seeking someone to re-caulk my outside windows -- The person I spoke with was prompt and professional in answering all my questions about their service offerings, their craftsmen etc. She explained their fee structure, inquired about how many windows and a few details about what I needed she estimated the time needed and we set up an appointment. The craftsman called the evening before left me a vmail confirming the appointment including the time. On the day of the appointment the craftsman called to advise that he was ahead of schedule and asked permission to come to my house early. Upon arrival, he introduced himself provided me with a Handyman Matters brochure (he was out of business cards) and proceeded to walk with me around my home to review the work I was requesting (he took notes and listened very attentively). It was just window caulking and checking to see if my gutters needed to be cleaned --but I was appreciative that he was obviously taking this as seriously as a much larger and complex job. We completed the review -- and he went off to work. Upon completion we did another walk around and he showed me what he had done and not done and why. (He hadn't done what wasn't needed - what a concept! ) I wrote him a check based on the invoice provided --he only charged me for the time he was here which turned out to be less than origianally estimated by their office. Very fair, reasonable, professional and skilled for a job I didn't feel I could or should do myself. OH and they called me after the completion of the work to check to see how everything went! They definitely understand Customer Service and Satisfacton - I really appreciate that too! I will definitely use Handyman Matters again!

They had immediate availability, which was a priority for me. They were courteous over the phone and very upfront about costs and fees. Another priority for me was that this be done as economically as possible as I was on a budget. The handyman (Tony) called the night before to get a feel for what needed to be done and my preferences on things. I appreciated this as I wasn't going to be there for the repair (mother-in-law was there) due to work. I told him what was damaged and asked that when he looked at things to suggest the lowest cost solution to fix the problem. His suggestions actually saved me a couple of hours of work on his part (and money on my part), so I decided to have the guest bath issue fixed while he was there too. He enabled me to maximize the work done, all within my budget! The work was done in the estimated time and done very well. I was very impressed with the honesty and integrity of this company and will definitely be calling on them again!

We love them and will use them anytime we have a project for them! We have used them on several occasions. They always call you the night before to make sure they have the right address and time. When they show up they want to see what they will be working on, make sure they have the right supplies and immediately start on the work. They are proficient and professional.

Andrew, Cindy and team did a great job helping me purchase and install a custom dog door, as well as tape and bed a crack in the drywall. The price I paid included the special custom-made weatherproof door ($199) which Handyman Matters gave me at their professional price - a 5% discount off retail. They came ahead of time to spec out the dimensions - it was going into a pane of glass in a French door to the back yard (I have mini doxies, BTW!). While Jack, the repair man was there, he fixed an 8" crack in my wall and repainted both the repaired area as well as a water stain on the ceiling. He returned with the dog door about two weeks later, put it in and repositioned the mini blind anchors above and out of the way of the unit.

Tom has a terrrific attitude! Shows up on time and calls when he will be as little as 15 minutes late. He works quickly and well. Very professional but friendly. Cleaned up area beautifully and even took out all the trash.

The handyman they sent did a pretty good job. I?m very satisfied overall. He did a good job of cleaning up what he took to repair the wall. However, he didn?t throw away the box when the fan came in and I had to card out all the remaining bits and pieces which I think he should have done in the first place but his repairs was great.

Handyman Matters has been wonderful to deal with through the whole process. We had to reschedule 3 times, twice due to weather and once for personal reasons. Jack was here right on time, made his evaluation and returned with materials finishing the job and cleanup in less then 45 minutes.

The experience was really good. From my initial inquiry forward, I received prompt responses (including a call to confirm appointment time and the handyman showing up exactly on-time). While this was an expensive repair, the quality of work and the professionalism displayed by Loren, the handyman, was first-rate (as the adage goes, "You get what you pay for."

Very good. I originally had a gentleman out to the house in Feb to repair a gutter. Wasn't satisfied with the work and noted as such on Angie's List. Andy the manager contacted me and said at the time to try his company again as he wanted to show me that they are customer service oriented and follow thru on their work. The gutter in back needed to be checked as it was leaking. Then over the weekend prior to Loren coming out I had the two other items come up. When Loren called Sunday night to reconfirm his arrival the next day I mentioned the other items to be repaired and he said no problem. Loren arrived on time and found the gutter in back needing cleaning out which he did. Then he also cleaned out the other gutters and 2 downspouts as well. Didn't expect that. Then he installed the toilet flapper and put in the light panels in the kitchen. I had already bought the panels and they just needed trimming in order to fit the frame of the recessed lighting fixture. Overall a job well done. Loren is an example of how a job should get done. I've hired other handymen in the past and they could learn a thing or two from him. I look forward to calling on Handyman Matters in the future and asking for Loren.

Loren, the service tech, showed up on time and was very professional and polite. He was very knowledgeable about the items we needed fixed. And he was honest about the things he didn't know about. The price seems a little high ($75 an hour plus a $35 service charge and cost of materials), but I received a 5% Angie's List discount. Also, I've been told by others that handyman work is expensive, so maybe this was a good price. At any rate, the work got done fast and in a high-quality way. I would definitely use them again.

Brian came on time and I showed him the work that need to be done to the gutter and the door and he said no problem. I also pointed out that there were 2 holes in the wood/fascia that needed to be filled in before he reattached the gutter. He agreed and he would use wood filler to fill it in. When I came home and checked on the work that evening I found the holes weren't filled in on the fascia but the gutter was nailed in. Since he had called the night before to reconfirm the appointment I called him back to point out the job was incomplete. He said he forgot and would come by the next day to fill in the holes. I followed up with a call to Cindy in the office that morning to let her know I spoke to Brian as well regarding the incomplete work. Brian came out and filled in 1 of the 2 holes. Still not to my satisfaction. Will fill in the remaining hole myself.

I got this company's name from Angie's List and was impressed with their reviews. I was not disappointed. I contacted them at about 9AM and their craftsman was at my house by 12:30 PM the same day. He cleared and removed all the dead vegetation, wire brushed the wall, and inspected the brick and trim for any damage. A full report was left in my mailbox together with a detailed invoice. The finished wall looked as if the ivy had never been there. The price was quite reasonable. I couldn't have asked for better service.
