Our old doorknob was not working - my husband tried to fix it with no success and then took it off and the new ones needed a different hole that was currently on our door which was more than Mike wanted to do. I called Handyman matter and spoke with a very nice guy and got an appt for the next day. My husband said the man who came out was super and he did a great job. I was very impressed with everything about this company and would use them again

Crayden came to my home and built from scratch 7 board & batten (spelling?) shutters for the front of my house. I went and got the cool iron hardware and he was busy cutting and crafting each shutter from scratch. They are just gorgeous and completely functional (not just decorative). Next comes painting. I am very pleased and excited about the new look. I will use them again.

Received a call back in a timely fashion. Showed up when they were supposed to and fixed it. Sounds perfect to me.

If you need a pet door installed in your home, I would recommend Jack from Handyman Matters of Collin County. This job is a specialty of his, and it was obvious that he'd done it many times before. I was very nervous about cutting such a large hole in the side of my house through brick, but the job went smoothly and the finished door looks and works great. This job takes time -- approximately 4 hours labor, but the price of installation (approximately $350 to install through brick) was actually less than the cost for the the pet door that I purchased separately. Handyman Matters of Collin County gave me great advice on the model of pet door to order since I wanted to install it through a brick wall. I purchased a Hale pet door with double flaps that included a 10 inch, carpeted tunnel. This particular model of pet door is not cheap ($450), but the quality and appearance of the materials are excellent.

A raccoon tore a hole in our soffit and Handyman Matters fixed it quickly. They were friendly, professional, and reasonably priced. We've referred friends to them and would definitely use them again.

the repairman, Creighton, was punctual, polite and very professional. He exhibited competence and readily recognized the problem and immediately formulated a plan of attack. He made me comfortable; I did leave him home alone. I was very pleased with his work and his timing.

I told John that I didn't want to paint the entire ceiling. I did not have any the original paint and the paint is almost 15 years old. He provided me with some options. He took care to cover the TV/entertainment center to protect it from paint or dust . With either options, he would have to spray a primer. The primer pretty much covered the stain almost perfectly. I decided to leave it at that and I'm really happy with the results. I would definitely use Handy Matters again if I need work done around the house.

From first call till the project was finished I received nothing but the finest service and attention. An appointment was made for an estimate and was perfectly on time. After the agreement was made I received an email with the names of the craftsmen who would be here and they arrived exactly on time. The two craftsmen were actually artists. They showed me everything they would be doing and gave me options. They worked so well together as a team. The final result was actually better than I had planned and they finished much quicker than expected. I can't wait till I start phase two of the project and will absolutely request the same team.

He arrived on time and was polite. He adjusted two bathroom doors which were difficult to close, and he repaired the things which were needed to be fixed.

Called to schedule some work on the exterior woodwork and also to evaluate a patio repair. Craydon came and provided advice on the patio and reviewed and recommended a solution for the exterior woodwork problems. Another person was required to assist in taking down the gutters. David arrived in less than an hour and they worked to complete the job by 4pm. Good experience and I will need some additional work done so I am scheduling additional time.

Door getting worse. Called, set apt for next morning, Andrew showed up a few minutes early, took care of everything in less than an hour.

Andrew was terrific. I used the 1/2 day special, so I kept thinking of things that needed to be done during the afternoon. It didn't phase Andrew one bit. In fact, he went around the house looking for areas that needed to be caulked. He repaired some drywall and matched the texture perfectly. He added weatherproofing to a door and, without being asked, moved the strike plate and deepened the deadbolt recepticle so the door would close perfectly. He did some electrical work, adjusted the dishwasher and repaired the outside shutters. I would definitely use this company again, and specifically request Andrew.

I emailed that my door frame was broken using their website and needed to be replaced on the Weekend. Monday Tim called me (and also emailed me) to set up an appointment. I returned the call, and James was then scheduled to come out the next day (Tuesday). Monday night he confirmed via telephone he would be there at 11:30. Tuesday he called early, and mentioned he could be their earlier if okay. I said sure, and he came over at 9:30 am. He replaced the side of the door frame I had broken. He went to the store to get the paint, when I told him I had no paint. Mine had dried up a few years ago. He also went to the store to replace the seal on the bottom, when I asked if he could also replace it. He did not mind the two trips at all, he was very nice. When done, he did a great job. Then fixed my sink as well, even though I had not asked about it in advanced. I had the parts needed already. James was very knowledgeable and is experienced in many areas. He made the door more secure than my builder did initially even. I used a half-day special, plus parts and I felt the price was spot on. I will be calling them again soon and asking for James specifically for two more jobs I need done.

It took longer than I thought it should have. I felt like I could have done the removal and replace in an hour or less. However, I didn't really think the removal all the way through and I might not have done the job as cleanly and without damaging the surrounding cabinet like John did. He also varnished/sealed the wood he replaced which was an added touch that I would not have thought of as a precaution against future water mishaps. So overall, I'm happy with the work done, I don't have skinned knuckles, I didn't take the Lords name in vain, and we have something that looks good to the point that I would not try to hide if we were to put our house on the market today.

We were very happy with the professional level of work, our only compalints were that John arrived almost 3 hours late (although he kept us up to date by phone) and that he bought a gallon of paint for a job that needed 1/2 a quart.

He did an excellent job! Was very efficient and even touched up a couple areas while waiting for paint/sealant to dry. Very impressed with the work and ABSOLUTELY recommend this company!

I found them on Angie's List. They got the estimate to me in a timely manner. They are on the ball. They are polite, responsive, and do good work. The price is steep, but you get what you pay for.

Craydon (LOVE the name) listened to to wishes and took a few minutes to consider option on how best repair (attaching a keyboard tray). When I made a suggestion on what I'd like, he didn't dismiss me to do it his way. He considered it and made it work to accomodate my request. He considered all the things he'd need and hew he had them on the truck. He gave me an estimate of 1 hour before doing the job. He was courteous, unobtrusive to the workplace, friendly and came in appropriate attire. True to his word, he was in and out within an hour!! I was impressed and would most definitely use them again.

I found them on Angie’s list. The man that came in was a rip off. He actually came in to look at my house and said it will cost $45 for the visit. He said how I can expect him to do the work for me, he said I didn’t need him out here and said he wanted his $45. He said he will not give me a bid. He said he needed $45 just to come out here. It was the worst experience. He didn’t want to do anything. He didn’t write on the paper how much it would cost me to do the job. It was horrible. He showed up late. He wasn’t leaving unless I gave him $45 and he did not do anything. He is a rip off artist. He had no intentions of doing the job.

The service and quality of work was fantastic. We had our door refurbished all the way down to electrical and knobs on the cabinets. These guys can do anything. Would highly recommend them again.

I called late on a Friday afternoon and got an appointment for the following Tuesday afternoon. John came out and rehung six curtain rods (previously hung incorrectly and falling down) and installed a water filter. While the work wasn't very complicated, I appreciated being able to get it done promply and correctly. John was very professional and efficient. I would definitely hire them again.
