Soil Consultants, Inc. is a full-service geotechnical consulting firm. In addition to geotechnical engineering, we provide construction materials engineering and testing services, non-destructive testing services, special inspection services, contract geotechnical and environmental drilling, and environmental consulting services. Soil Consultants, Inc. has built a sterling reputation by providing quality services, providing timely responses, and adhering to budgets. Geotechnical engineering services include roadway section design, foundation design criteria, settlement analyses, liquefaction analyses and mitigation, retaining wall analyses, slope stability analyses, forensic analyses, and pile load testing and evaluation. Materials testing is performed for aggregate, concrete, hot-mix asphalt, hydraulic cement, masonry, metals, soil, and sprayed fire-resistive material. Testing is performed both in our accredited laboratory an in the field at your construction site. Our laboratory is AASHTO accredited and our personnel hold ACI, AWS, ICC, NCMA, NICET, NRMCA, PTI, SCDOT, and SCLLR certifications. Nondestructive testing services include radiography, ultrasonic, magnetic particle, penetrant, and visual inspections. We also perform welder qualifications, bolt tension verification, and ground penetrating radar. Soil Consultants, Inc. performs special inspections for concrete, fireproofing, foundations, masonry, soil, and structural steel bolting and welding. Soil Consultants, Inc. owns and operates its own drilling equipment. Our equipment is used to complete contract drilling assignments as well as field exploration programs associated with SCI geotechnical engineering projects. As an SCDOT DBE and SBE firm, contract drilling services provided by Soil Consultants, Inc. may contribute to project minority participation levels. Our current rig inventory includes three truck-mounted drilling rigs, two track-mounted drilling rigs, two adverse terrain vehicle-mounted drilling rigs, and two tripod rigs. Soil Consultants, Inc. provides limited environmental consulting services for our clients. These services include performing geologic assessments for site selection and Phase I environmental site assessments.
