It went very well. Dr. Higgins took his time to make sure the tooth fit perfectly and that my bite was accurate.

I explained exactly what I needed and was given a definite price on the phone. After waiting 2 weeks with virtually a missing front tooth, the dental assistant said right off the bat that the bonding would be priced for front, back, side, and side(4 surfaces) instead of the 1 surface I expected, was told on the phone, and is all that is needed. Then the dentist refused to do the composite bonding because she stated it might not be a permanent solution. I told her I understood and was ok with that. Afterall, it's better to have a temporary tooth then a large gap in one's front teeth. She then stated she would do the temporary bonding but the price would be incorporated into the very very expensive price of a new porcelain veneer. This was completely and utterly disappointing and embarrassing, and I felt I should not have been put through this. 2 weeks I waited! I have since discovered that composite cosmetic boding can be done using either temporary cement or permanent cement, and can be bonded to enamel and porcelain.

Wonderful. Everyone I met was very nice. The cleaning and exam went as expected and they called out things that I already knew from my other dentist (that I grind my teeth, side-effects of steroid inhaler use, etc) - so they noticed things that I never mentioned.They were really booked up but when a cancellation came up they gave me (a new patient) the spot and then sent me a follow-up "thank you for choosing us" letter a couple days later. Very happy with my experience all around and will definitely continue using them.

I like his demeanour that is really important to me. He does good work. I trust him. He’s just a nice guy too so it means a lot. He truly cares about how you feel and about what’s going on. The staffs are pleasant and nice. They call you by your first name when they’re talking to you. It was pretty to easy to get an appointment. I would use him again.

We just moved to Myrtle Beach in December and a friend recommended Myrtle Beach Dental Associates to us.  This is such a  wonderful dental office!  Everyone is so friendly and helpful.  On 5/13/2013, my husband had his first visit with Dr. Tiffany Karkanen and said she was a wonderful dentist.   On 5/14/2013, I had my first visit to have my teeth cleaned and have my semi-annual check-up. My dentist is Dr. Robert Higgins and he is also a great dentist!  We will enjoy going to Myrtle Beach Dental Asociates.  We highly recommend them to everyone.  I believe that everyone who works there is also a dedicated animal lover!

He has done other work in my mouth.  He does like root canals and crowns.  He does very good crown work.  I like his bedside manner.  When he comes in, he tells me what he's going to do.  He'll have me informed and makes me feel comfortable and at ease.  All the staff there speak and it's just a friendly atmosphere.  They show that they care and they will try to fit me in.  It's just a really good atmosphere.

I go to him every 6 months. My experience with him always been good. I started going to him probably fours ago and I enjoyed it. I'm pleased with the services. The staff is friendly. For me, friendly staff is usually what brings me back to place because I feel that they really care and they talk to you while you are there and not just some other member. He actually just happens to know where I live and so he can have a conversation about what goes on in the neighborhood back in his time. He's a very real person. The whole staff and even the front desk are also great.

Dr. Higins' office is ran with first class service. The staff is extremely friendly and pleasant. Appointments run on time.
