 + -1 moreAfter reconnecting the smoke detector, he analyzed the system and found all the other smoke detectors in the house were not linked together as they should have been when the home was constructed. Gave an estimate to correct the system which would also include identifying all circuits in the electrical panel. Very reasonable estimate for what needs to be done. Very informative as well; explained why its necessary for all three smoke detectors need to be linked [in case of fire on any floor, the initial detector "alerts" the two others]. Our previous electrician just installed the new detectors without checking them for this linking..

 + -1 moreSince we were having dinner guests on Saturday, I wanted to have the new stovetop in place and functioning. He said that he was busy this week but may be able to fit me in on Friday. On Thursday, he called to say that he would be able to do it that afternoon. Jeff and Brian showed up and spent about 2+ hours carefully cutting the countertop and installing the new stovetop. We will certainly call them again for the care and precision they took in completing this job, as well as helping me create a successful dinner party.
Description of Work: My initial call to Jeff at Kircher Electric was on Monday 10/19/09, requesting the removal of a non-functioning, electric stovetop and the installation of a new stovetop. I let him know that this would involve some cutting of a laminate countertop to fit the new stovetop in place.

 + 0 moreHe responded to my emergency call the day before Christmas Eve and he came promptly at the promised time on Christmas Eve day. The work was done quickly, efficiently, and professionally. I asked him to come back and install the recessed light. He called well in advance to let me know he was running late and arrived on time at the newly agreed upon time. I plan to use Kircher Electric again in the near future and would not hesitate to recommend him highly to anyone who needs an electrician. His work is high quality, efficient, and neat. He is a very personable and highly knowledgeable electrician. He was also very polite and I found him a pleasure to deal with.
Description of Work: Rewired 2 light switches as well as installed the correct amount of GFIs in the kitchen to make sure that it was safe. Also installed a recessed light.
