Most of the painting that was completed went well. However, several details stood out as Steve did not finish our walkway from our kitchen into our dining room as well as leaving a 4 inch by 5 inch space on our kitchen wall the original color which is off-white. He also did not replace two wall outlet covers in addition to leaving paint on our vanity and bathtub of our second floor. He also left remnants of paint on our cabinets in the same bathroom. The polyurethane that was applied requires another coat due to the uneven shade that is seen. I will admit the painting itself is actually decent quality however the fact that he assured me he would return to finish his job remains to be seen. I am extremely frustrated and disappointed because my father knew this man for quite some time. I have called repeatedly and therefore I know he chooses to ignore my phone calls. Steve scheduled to finish his work on 12/30/13 but never showed up. Initially I felt he had an emergency to attend to but I was wrong. I've made several attempts via phone to contact him as well as writing an email but he continues to ignore me. I realize there are worse cases that people have experienced with contractors but the fact that my father knew this man is very aggravating. I will also say the mounting of the TV bracket and the initial attachment of the TV in the family room was completed in a lazy manner. I actually attached spacers to the back of the TV so the wiring could fit once the TV was mounted. He also failed to connect the power cord. Steve stated he "guarantees his paint job for one year" which obviously is false. He promised an updated invoice which I never received. Steve may seem to be a nice man at first but I guarantee that he will continue to take advantage of homeowners.
