Matthew was originally hired to assist my nephew in preperation for the Parochial High School Admissions exam. Building a relationship with Matthew was the best thing for my nephew. Matthew was very safe going into this situation creating a trusting a environment. Not knowing what he was walking into, Matthew quickly learned that my nephew’s academic inabilities were far more important than preparing for an high school entrance exam. Immediately Matthew begin working on creating a plan of action. He is very patient, yet intentional about holding my nephew accountable. Moreover, he follows up and send reminders for my nephew (I.e. don’t forget to bring your book home from school, remember to work on your math). Although we have a long way to go, it’s safe to say that we are seeing some progress. Thanks Matthew.

My dog passed away in June and they are still charging me for service. Due to his age he has not received vaccination in over 4 years but yet I was still charged the same amount. I was on the phone with the corporate office for almost two hours and they refused to refund me the total owed to me. I currently have two other dogs on their plan and will be canceling them as well.

I like the fact that the dogs have runs and don't need to be taken for a walk. In nice weather, they can go out at will. I also like the fact that in nice weather, Christine takes the dogs for a walk before taking them to their space. They are on a fun walk as I drive away, making it easier for all concerned.

Dealing with Julie the owner has been very difficult. There has been a series of emails back and forth in an attempt to resolve this matter. I asked her to cover the costs of the Veterinary bills that I incurred to get my dog's eye treated for a puncture wound to his lower eyelid sustained while he was in her care amounting to over $160. I also asked to be reimbursed for the daycare fee of $20 that I had paid her. Her attitude is to insist that I am only distressed because her staff did not apologize to me at the time This is nonsense. I was and am distressed that their procedures for monitoring the dogs seems inadequate and that my dog was injured while in their care without notice to me, without treatment, and without their even noticing this--even when they put the leash on him and returned him to me as I waited in the reception area. I expected my dog to be tired when I got him back, but not to have a serious eye injury, and I expected them to take responsibility for injuries sustained to animals while in their care. I asked to be reimbursed for the costs of veterinary bills and medication that were part of the treatment for my dog's injuries. This has been refused and she seems to deny that she has any responsibility for injuries to dogs sustained while in her care. I told Julie if she did not reimburse me for the costs I incurred to treat my dog for the injuries he sustained at her establishment, I would file a claim in Small Claims Court to seek this reimbursement.
Julie has refused to provide me with insurance claim information which I requested, claiming that she doesn't have to, and today she advised that I would have to speak with her lawyer, but as of this writing she has not provided me with that person's name and contact information, although I requested it.
If all goes well when dogs are left in her care, you are lucky. My dog and I were not lucky on August 28, 2013, and her response in refusing to accept any responsibility for the injury to my dog that occurred while in her care should make you reluctant to leave your dog at her establishment. I only wish I could attach a picture so you could see what my dog's eye looked like when I picked him up from IN THE DOGHOUSE.
Below is part of the last communication I received from Julie. You judge for yourself if this is someone with whom you wish to leave your beloved dog, especially if something happens to him/her:
"5. I REFUSE to allow you to claim an accident as my negligence by my staff; we care about all of the dogs as if they were our own. Xazqqaq.
5. With all of this said, due to you threatening to take me to small claims court, all future written and verbal correspondence will be handled through my lawyer."
As far as using IN THE DOG HOUSE, CAVEAT EMPTOR.

I dont believe she spent actual quality time. She spent about 15-20 minutes only because she lived half an hour away. No quality time was spent with them. The litter boxes were dirty. I would never use her even in an emergency. There is another website "care" something which I plan to use. She charged $20/hour TEN years ago plus mileage. Can't imagine what it is now. She is strictly a businesswoman not a passionate animal lover.

Nox GroomingCe did a fantastic job with my fur baby, Freddie! Freddie’s coat has never felt so soft, and he’s never smelled so good! (And Freddie’s visited other grooming salons in the area), we will definitely be booking with Ce from now on! His nails are nice and rounded and his teeth freshly scrubbed. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of my baby boy, Ce! You’re truly talented- we appreciate you!- Andrea B.

Nox GroomingMy dog hates baths and has had some experiences with groomers where he has fought me on going back - but he loves Nox! She didn’t even mind that he peed on her floor the first time 🤦🏻♀️ He’s happy to go in with her, comes out smelling great with smooth short claws and is all tail wags! She is very knowledgable, gentle with animals, professional, and very easy to work with. Would definitely recommend! 🐾 🐾- Allie B.

Nox GroomingCe did an amazing job taking extra love and care of our Australian labradoodle puppy during her first grooming! She gave her the full spa treatment for an incredibly reasonable price, and showered her with love, bows, and homemade treats! We will definitely be coming back regularly! Valley Veterinary AssociatesThe doctors are wonderful. They treat each pet patient with kindness, and concern. The staff is caring and compassionate. I was extremely impressed with their knowledge and sincerity towards each pet and owner. We’ve boarded our dog twice with no complaints. He’s always well cared for and happy. Wouldn’t dream of using anywhere else.- Pauline M.

PAWFESSIONAL PET CAREShe was a few minutes late but there was construction on the parkway. Our dogs were going to a kennel and I wanted a good summer clip not really typical of our dogs' breed. She did an excellent job making them still look like their breed yet good for the summer. Our dogs seemed happy and I will go there again.- Donald A.

PENNY'S PET POURRIPenny called me back within 24 hours of my message (something that hasn't happened with other groomers sad to say) and from there we went over what I was looking for and set up an appointment. We had the appointment today. I dropped both dogs off this morning just after 8am. Penny went over what it was that I wanted done to both dogs with some detail, asked me about their personalities (when it comes to other dogs and I'm glad she asked), and gave me an estimate for pick up. The shop was clean, well lit, and I could see a bit into the back where the grooming takes place. Everyone looked professional and I didn't feel any concern leaving the dogs in their care for the day. Penny called this afternoon and when I picked up the dogs they were both beautifully groomed, smelled great, and looked better than I have seen them in a very long time. I am very happy with the grooming done by this shop and will be happy to bring the dogs back for a follow up later this year.- Eithne Nicole A.

A PET SALONSince our other groomer gave up her business, we turned to Greg. He always gives the same level of service and the dogs love it. He is always concerned for their safety and comfort during the grooming process. Since they are so small, he does confine them together in a large crate to cut down on anxiety. Before they leave, he allows our one dog the opportunity to go back and do her "good-bye tour" to the other dogs there at the time.- Diane M.

K-9 DESIGN DOG GROOMINGJennifer Foster, owner/ operator, of K9 Design did a great job taking care of our 2 Shih Tzu's. She is truly loving and caring of our pets and our overall experience! K9 is definately not one of the big box dog mills. Personal attention by the owner is given to each pet & owner. I can't wait to use her services again!- Daniel P.

DAVE'S PROUD TRADITIONSchmu, a 4 year old schnauzer that we adopted about 5 months ago, had his second hair cut by David on the 20th. David did an excellent job, our dog was trimmed down and looks amazing, great beard, great eyebrows and smells great. David has been taking care of dogs for years and you can tell he has a keen dog sense. He also showes and cuts dogs for various dog shows including Westminister dog shows. David even put a cute little bandanna around his neck, that made him even cutter then he is.- Roberta P.
