I thought they were fantastic. He was on time and everything was great. They did not try and sale us anything we did not need, he gave us good suggestions and tips on our furnace, he went about and beyond. I would highly recommend them. We will use them again in the future.

I used email to get a hold of them and I had to send it a few times before they answered back. However, when I had to reschedule, they were good at that. The service went alright.

Jake arrived on time and explained everything that he was doing. Our furnace checked out just fine and the only question we had was on a replacement filter since our electric one had stopped working. We would definitely use JRB in the future.

JRB had a coupon deal for a $55.00 furnace or boiler tune-up. It took a few days to get a response from the owner Jeff. When scheduling an appointment I had to take a half day from work to make the meeting at 8:00-8:30 AM, Which I was told would be the first appointment of that day. During that morning I had not had anyone show up and at 9:30 I gave Jeff a call. He informed me that they had an emergency and wouldn't make it till noon. I had stated that was too late, because I had to go to work at 11:00. He then called back a half our later to ask if a technician who was finishing up a job could show up at 10:30 if that would be ok. I stated again that it would not work, it was too close to when I would have to go. We then scheduled for another day. He had lied about me being the first appointment of the day, otherwise why would a tech be finishing up a job? To me it seemed like he had forgotten my appointment and tried to cover it up. When the technician did show up a few days later, he was very polite. He checked my boiler but only using one tool determined that he would not do a tune up saying that it had to be replaced. He called Jeff and said they would give me a quote. I was a little disappointed that he didn't really look into the boiler, which had a problem with the flames burning over the heat shield. When I received the quote, they asked for 4,700 to replace the boiler. When I looked up the prices for the boiler, I found the exact model he was going to replace it with for 1,900. When I asked why it was such a high quote he told me that there was a lot more to it than the boiler, they would be doing some connections (not new connections, just the ones that have to be replaced no matter what) but the technician on site had told me it would be a one day job. I could not see a job that would only take one day cost 2,800. I later had another inspection by a different inspector who actually looked into the boiler. he noticed that there was a lot of build up in the exhaust which was not allowing the flames to breathe. After cleaning it out the boiler went back to normal and has been working since. I believe that JRB just uses the coupon to get a foot into a door and find a large job to do instead of attempting to help the customer. I would not recommend them to anyone for a reasonable quote or professional advice.

It went good. Member was a little frustrated, says we keep calling him about the same thing but was satisfied with everything else.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it was fine. They came, did what they had to do and that was it.

The provider did not contact us within the time promised (48 hours). I had to find an alternative furnace repairman.

I paid an introductory cost and I'm sure I'll pay more next time. I will, however, definitely use them for the spring A/C check-ups and furnaces next fall. I can confidently recommend them to friends/neighbors and other Angie's List members.

They were listed as an Angie's list special for furnace cleaning and tune up. It took a few phone calls until it was actually scheduled and performed but was happy when completed.

We had JRB out for a fall furnace check/maintenance. We have used them before, and as usual they were punctual, professional and friendly. They always call a half hour before to let you know when they will arrive. Jake was here on 12/17 and checked the furnace and even checked for carbon monoxide. He explained something about our thermostat as well (at my request) and was finished in a half hour. We will continue to recommend JRB Heating and Cooling to all of our friends.
