Scheduling an appointment was super easy. Jeff arrived and was extremely professional and courteous. He offered a tremendous amount of advice. This is not the first time I have used JRB and would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone needing HVAC service.

It went very well as always. They do an excellent job. Myself and my daughter have been using them for years. We would never go anywhere else. They go above and beyond what is needed. Everyone of the workers that have come to our houses, and we have had many in our years of dealing with them, is polite, professional, and respectful. Don't hesitate to call them.

Appointments were promptly scheduled and technicians called en route. Technicians were polite, explained services completed, and patiently answered all questions.

Technician was polite and worked quickly. We had been having a concern with our AC- he told us that there might be a leak and discussed potential solutions (dye test or replacement). He provided estimate for new AC units. We didn't purchase from this company because we wanted further estimates prior to purchasing new AC.

The compressor blew up due to their work and the whole system doesn't work now, and I have to replace the whole air conditioner unit.

We have 2 aging A/C units, and one of them failed just at the start of the last heat wave, leaving us hot and desperate for two weeks. I felt that not having done maintenance on both units in a while, I should shop Angie's List for a tune up deal. I went by the 'A' rating and the proximity of the business and purchased two tune up packages for $55 each. It took more time to schedule than previous deals I purchased on AL. Typically the provider calls/emails you back shortly after the purchase, and I expected the same. When that did not happen for 4 days, I emailed them, and then they emailed that I should call them. That phone tag took two more days. Finally, they got back to me and we scheduled the service. When I mentioned the failed unit, they said that I can add a diagnostic checkup for $32, and we'll go from there. Sounded fair. On the day of the service the technician was punctual and very nice. He started with the failed unit and quickly found that the capacitor blew up. He said he may have the part in his van and went to check. Coming back after a while, he said that he talked to their lead tech and recommended to replace the capacitor and also the connector as a preventive measure. The quote: flat rates of $295 and $245, respectively. Having been desperate to get the house cooled back after two weeks of heat, and believing that an 'A' rating must mean a fair business, I assumed the prices are fair and approved the repairs without due diligence. Indeed, within less than an hour the unit was cooling again. Yippee! During the replacement of both parts another the owner showed up to help the tech to rewire the new connector. He pointed out that I should get the outside coil cleaned. Having done tune up before with two other providers for a price at the same range of the $55 here, I replied that both time the package included cleaning the coil. He said that this does not sound reasonable, it must have had some kind of promotion, because this costs an extra $200 and that I should have read the fine print: their tune up package includes just visual inspection and replacing the indoor filters. They did replace one disposable filter and one non-disposable one that I had for the other unit. The whole service, including the diagnostics and repairs, took less than 2 hours. I was satisfied that the unit was back online and that I did not need to replace the whole unit. However, later in the day, when I got a little time, I checked how much the parts cost out of curiosity. When I found out that a capacitor runs about $10 and a connector about $20, it dawned on me that I have been ripped off royally. I paid a rate of more than $300 per hr for labor. Call me gullible for not checking before approving, but take into account that this was in the middle of a work day, and I needed to get back to work, I wanted the unit fixed w/o another week of shopping around, and first and foremost: I believed that AL ratings equal honest business (not so much anymore...). Adding to the fact that their tune up package did not compare with the ones I had in the past, it would be more accurate to call them predatory. Summary: $110 – two tuneup packages, coil cleanup NOT included $32 – Diagnostics $295 – capacitor (~$10 part, 15 minutes labor) $245 – connector ($20 part, 30 minutes labor) You judge.

Very well. On time. Efficient, and gave me some advice re: a problem we have because our ductwork is in the attic.

The service went well. The technician was on time. He gave me a phone call before he was arriving to let me know what time he would be here. He indicated what to be done and what he would check. He checked the air conditioner and gave me a report on the air conditioner. It was 13 years old and he indicated that it is still in good shape and that we could get close to 20 years out of it with routine maintenance. He was very polite and was not trying to sell other services or anything of that nature. He did not charge me more than the $55 Big Deal cost. Actually, I thought I was going to pay him. I forgot that I put the thing online. So, I had my checkbook out and he kind of looked at me and I asked how much I owe him. He said to me that I do not owe him anything and he told me that when I ordered the service, I paid for it through Angie’s List so it was already taken care of so I owed him nothing. Our furnace is brand new and the air conditioner is 13 years old. I do yearly maintenance on both units. I would definitely keep them in mind in the fall when I go to do the furnace point.

Service tech came to my house to diagnose an electrical issue with my HVAC system. I was not getting power to the nest thermostat that they installed. Jeff told me that I needed to have a dedicated circuit installed from the furnace to my electrical panel, he also told me that the current set up was not up to code. He quoted me $475 for the work and I scheduled to have the work completed a week from the day. After Jeff left I was concerned over his statement that the electrical was not "up to code" so I decided to hire an electrician to come to my house to check everything ( I just recently purchased the home) - - The electrician informed me that not only was my electrical system all up to code but that I also already had a dedicated circuit to my HVAC system and putting in another circuit was not needed, in fact he told me that whoever told me I needed a new circuit was trying to rip me off. The electrician then changed one electrical component ( that Jeff had taken out but told me it was not the problem) and my HVAC system turned on and has been working perfectly. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY - they present themselves very well, but clearly they have other motives. DO NOT HIRE. - I wish I would have read the "F" comments before hiring them because the other bad reviews follow a similar pattern as mine.

He was prompt and courteous, quickly determined source of noise, and then fixed it.

I purchased their $32 deal (to perform a diagnostic). I have an older air conditioner. The technician assessed the situation and was curious why the fan option on the thermostat was not working. - Check the thermostat - Check the furnace (where the blower is located) - Checked the fuse box - Verified the A/C unit outside was not running - Determined it was the blower. He opened the blower and determined it was a blown fuse. Since this is an older furnace. He installed a switch and communicated that the fuse is not needed since the fuse box will trip. I have A/C (where I did not have for the past 2 weeks). I am very thankful to their professionalism. The get a high recommendation from me.

I needed a new heating and air conditioning company and used Angie's List to find one. JRB returned my call very quickly, came in a day or two, was right on time, and gave the whole system a going over. The technician was very polite and professional, gave me some advice to clean up around the outside compressor to preserve its cabinet, and charged us only $55 for the call. I will be using them in the future.

Turned my a/c on for first time this year and realized it was not working properly. Knowing I needed to contact someone with a/c knowledge who I could trust, I went to Angie’s List. I found that J.R.B. Heating & Cooling had scores of outstanding reviews so I contacted them for a Diagnostic Review of my air conditioner. Jeff came out and went over the system, found the problem, explained the problem, presented me with some options and I chose replacement. An appointment was scheduled and Jake and Jacob came out and did a fantastic job. The removal of the old a/c and the installation of the new was time consuming but they worked steadily and in a fastidious manner. It is understandable why this company has so many rave reviews. Personable and knowledgeable employees who are prompt in response, and their work and presence give you the confidence you need when hiring a contractor to do such an important piece of work in your home. Provider arrived and inspected our furnace. They arrived within the specified window and provided a detailed report.

The appointment was scheduled in a timely manner. The service was performed in a professional manner and all of my questions were answered. I will definitely use JRB for furnace/AC servicing in the future.

Everything went very smoothly. They called ahead of time to let me know they were on the way. Very professional and friendly service. I will use JRB Heating & Cooling again for future service on my furnace.

The service was fine. There were no additional charges to the $55 Big Deal. It was not an outstanding call. It was more of an average call. There wasn’t anything they did wrong. They did what they were supposed to do. On a Big Deal, I would use them again.

Service was easy to schedule, after calling them to schedule I had a call back same day and scheduled a cleaning appointment. The service rep. was on time and very professional. The appointment was for a routine cleaning, but the service rep detected an imbalance in the blower and was able to fix the issue. I am very thankful for the quieter furnace. I will be ordering the AC maintenance in the spring.

Jeff and his crew met with us a few times to discuss our needs and the best furnace for them, they installed the furnace quickly and were able to connect it to our Nest thermostat. There was some confusion over how the furnace should have been connected but JRB remedied the issue quickly. Ultimately, they did a good job and we're happy with our new furnace.
