JACK FARRELL GARAGE DOOR

Jack was prompt and professional and he knew exactly what needed to be done to fix my garage door and keep it from breaking further.

Found Jack Farrell through an Angie's List search, and after reading the positive responses, decided to call him. Left a message and he returned my call promptly. We set up an appointment for Jack to come out and survey the problems, and he said that he may be able to address the situation right away if possible. On the day before the appointment, Jack called me to indicate that he may be arriving late depending on how an earlier appointment unfolded, and asked if I could be flexible with my schedule. I could. On the day of the appointment, Jack called early, and let me know that he would indeed be arriving late, and gave me an exact time, which he stuck to. He arrived with two workers. It took about 10 minutes for Jack to assess the problems. He let me know that he could work on the existing Genie openers, but given that these units were low-quality to begin with, and were over 10 years old, Jack suggested replacing them with much higher-quality LiftMaster openers. I asked for an estimate. He drew one up in 5 minutes. The estimate was about $100 more than I had budgeted, but it seemed worth it to move forward with two new units and solve what had become a problem for the past year. So, I gave him the green light, and he told me that it would take about 2 hours to complete the work. Sure enough, within 2 hours, they had removed my old units, rewired and installed the new openers, fixed the interior garage door handle, and even helped me program one of our cars to open the garage doors. They worked professionally, methodically, and quickly, and did exactly what they promised. The new openers are awesome, and about 95% quieter than the older ones. Money well spent. I highly recommend using Jack Farrell for garage door repair/replacement! A great experience all-around!

The steel spring broke on a garage door which basically made it unusable. Another door 'wouldn't open', pressing the activator button just made the motor 'click'. We selected Jack as a result of our Angie's Search. Jack promptly responded to our call, we scheduled an appointment, and he showed up promptly. He addressed both our door issues within an hour. A price was given after a 5 minute assessment, he had the parts, and he and his partner repaired both right there on the spot. Because they specialize in garage doors, they clearly had the experience to go along with the ready-to-go inventory. I watched them in action and they were able to readily answer all my questions. Jack and his work partner were very professional and I would feel very comfortable using them again.

We had just moved into a new home and one of the cables to one of the garage doors had snapped. Do to the large size of the door (10ft x 10ft), we were not even able to lift the door manually. Jack came out immediately. He replaced the cables on both sides of the door, aligned the door and checked all of our other garage doors. Jack was very punctual, professional and asked a fair price for the work done!

One of my garage doors broke on Monday evening. I sent an email to Jack the same night. He contacted me on Tuesday, and setup an appointment for Wednesday morning. He was coming first thing in the morning, so I asked that he call before we arrived. He called and arrived on-site a few minutes earlier than he had said. He was originally only going to fix one garage door, but after my request to check out the other door, he fixed the other door as well. He completed the repairs on both doors in under 30 minutes. Jack was very professional and I will certainly use his services again when needed.

Fantastic service. Jack Farrell showed up EXACTLY when he said he would for the estimate and the installation. Farrell's quote was $750 less than the other quote we recieved. He and his 2 workers were professional, courteous, and focused on the work. They left our garage cleaned up after their work was completed. They arrived at 7:45 and left at 11:00 a.m. We were impressed with how well the wiring between the sensors, interior control panel and the opener were neatly "dressed" and not just looped around a nail here and there.

After selecting doors, time was taken to explain the install and what was needed. The details the other guys missed, Jack didn't miss.

Jack was easy to contact, always returned calls, gave good advice. The work was done on time and for the exact amount of the estimate. His helpers were cheerful and courteous. They arrived on time and got to work immediately. The work was completed in less than 3 hours. The whole experience was painless.

Our door had gotten completely out of adjustment, in fact, so badly that the bar to the door had broken off. This was partly due to a repair we had done to the garage floor which caused the door to stop too soon and the top panel did not close correctly. Pete readjusted the frame of the door so it closed completely and then adjusted and lubricated the entire mechanism. It opens and closes like a champ now! We are very pleased and would definitely recommend Pete and use him again if we need.

Jack arrived promptly when he said he would. He and two helpers installed the new doors and openers in a few hours. They were neat, efficient, and professional. As an added bonus, Jack provided us with a manufacturer rebate for both the doors and openers.

We were having difficulty closing the garage door with the opener. We looked up people that work on garages and found that Jack's name had high marks, so we called him on a Thursday and he asked to come out on Friday however we were not available, so he said he would come out Saturday morning. He was on time and then diagnosed the problem and we asked him if he could replace the opener and he said he could install a new on on Wednesday and they would remove the trash. He also installed a key panel outside the garage which we did not have before. When we came home on Wednesday we had a brand new garage door opener with key panel and two car remotes. Everything was cleaned up and old opener was gone. Jack did a super job. We had a small problem and had to call Jack back a few days later. Jack responded immediately. It turned out the problem was due to the keylock installed on the garage door several years ago by another contractor. Jack took care of the issue right away and did not charge an additional fee. Everything works perfectly now. We highly recommend Jack Farrell for any garage door problems!

They were very efficient, responsive and courteous. They were also very quick and finished the work in timely manner. They cleaned up everything after the work was done and I was very happy with their quality of service. The price was also very reasonable and I would recommend them to anyone.

They installed a garage door in about a week. They did an excellent job and cleaned up well. I find them to be professional, responsive and punctual.

Followed up immediately after initial inquiry. Good communication and written bid provided. After storm required rescheduling, continual follow ups were helpful to confirm new date. Showed up on time, installed doors and was very polite and professional.

It was very easy to work with Jack Farrell. We're new home owners and new to the area so we used Angie's List to find Jack Farrell. Our garage door was making terribly troubling noises. I contacted Jack Farrell to get an estimate on a repair or replacement. He recommended replacement. I shopped around for other options and decided to go with Jack Farrell. His schedule (he had to order a custom door for our 1.5 car garage) and estimate were accurate. It was easy to schedule a time for Jack Farrell to replace to the door. We're very satisfied.

He arrived a few hours after I called, on schedule. He checked the electricity and the motor, found the switch that had been jolted when I had backed into the door. He also adjusted the closing which had been a nuisance for a long time.

They had the garage door up within about three or four hours from the time they arrived. The whole process was pretty painless, and we are really happy with our new garage door. They even disposed of the other garage door for us, which we appreciated, and they did not leave a mess, either.

Contacted Jack during the weekend. Called back same day to setup a time to review. Reviewed job and provided quote while I was at work. Proactively identified a Clopay rebate period that was upcoming but not yet started. Scheduled the work the day after the rebate went into effect. On time for install. Completed job in a few hours. Everything works great. Price was $60 less then quoted due to dealer rebate he kicked in.

Came out within a couple of days and gave an estimate, we were very happy with the price, color and description of work to be done. He quoted us four weeks, when doors arrived we agreed on day and time of installation. He promptly showed up with 2 other workers and had the job finished in half a day. Price was exactly as he quoted. Doors are beautiful, work perfectly. I honestly have to say this was one of the best contractor experience's that we've ever had. We found this contractor on Angie's List. Price was actually less than quoted because of a manufactures rebate.
