However, two years later when we had our roof replaced, we learned that the installer didn't fully remove the hanger attachments for the old gutters. He just cut them off and left a sharp end sticking out. Our roofers were nice and removed the ends. We've also since noticed that the installer didn't do a great job leveling the gutters, so there's always a 1/2" of water that pools in them until it evaporates."
