i had a nice experience. this is not a high end spa, but a casual low key korean spa. i had a fully body message and used the hot and cold pools. The message therapist walked on back, which i loved. Also, paying for the message gave me unlimited use of the spa, including exercise equipment and spa pools. i was also able to make a same day appointment, which was nice. finally, it was a weekday and very quiet. very authentic place. i enjoyed the experience.

I love the Asian and European sense of bodycare and healthcare via hydrotherapy. I friend told me about Chung Dam. I signed in at the desk. The manager, a very nice, well spoken Korean American man took care of me and then gave me a tour of the facility and explained what to do. I went to the locker room, told them I'd like a massage in about an hour, then spent the hour going from the sauna to the cold water pool to the hot water pool to the cold water pool to the jade room and vice versa , etc, etc and then had a very nice massage and then got dressed and left. It's more than just relaxing, it's health care. Everything is very clean, which is very comforting in that environment. I recommend it highly.

Description of Work
I went to Chung Dam mostly for the hydrotherapy (hot and cold water pools), steam and sauna. They have a heated jade room which is very nice as well. The sauna could have been hotter for my taste and the cold water pool could have been colder. The massage is very good, what you'd expect in an Asian facility. They also have a food bar, but I haven't eaten there yet. The entire place is spotless, you could eat off the floor. I never got a membership, but if you did it would make the prices even more reasonable. Sadly, it's a little far for me now, in the northeast, so I don't get there as often, but I'd go all the time if I lived closer.

This is a Korean spa, so it's not necessarily eveyone's cup of tea. There is a workout room you can use prior to your treatment, which I find a nice compliment to the spa services. They provide you with a robe and locker and you enter the public bath area to shower. You are not given private areas to do this, so it's not for those who are so self-conscious. Even so, nobody is really paying attention to others. It's fun to bring a friend or two and after showering, you can enjoy going from the hot bath to the cold bath to open your pores. There is also the steam sauna that you can use as well. If you sign up for a massage and body scrub (highly recommend), you will be totally nude and possibly in front of at most 2 others who are also laying on tables for the same service. A lady will begin the scrubbing of your body that you've probably never experienced in your life, unless you've lived in Asia. The amount of dead skin that will fall off your body will amaze you. They continue to exfoliate from your neck down to your feet. Once that part is finished, they will wash your hair for you, while massaging your scalp and give you a facial with fresh cucumber salad that will actually make you hungry! They clean you off by pouring buckets of water over you and then begin the massage. The massage is wonderful, but serious stuff. It's absolutely the best spa and you can do all of this for just $80! Afterwards, you can use their special rooms to relax, like the granite room and hot clay w/ charcoal room. Each of these specially made to help with certain ailments or health issues you may have. They also offer therapeutic massages, where they'll even step on your back, if you like.

Description of Work
This place is the best spa I've ever been to and it's prices are unbelievable too. They slough off all the dead skin off your body and massage you for a rejuvenating experience that will definitely bring you back again and again.
