Description of Work: We used Willamette Valley Movers to finish moving everything from our home before it sold. We had used another company a few months earlier to move some basics to the new house, leaving the old house staged. We weren't impressed so decided to try WVM. The two guys showed up early, hustled boxes and furniture out of the old and into the new. Helped pack a few last minute items in the garage. Not a thing was scratched or broken. When I commented on their speed, they said you can be fast and cateful. We would definitely use them again.

Description of Work: First time we ever used movers. They got the job done in a timely manner but we were a bit concerned with how their speed affected their consideration of how they treated our furnishings.

Description of Work: The guys that were sent to move us were fantastic! Scott,Victor & Roland were very professional and ran their behinds off all day. This turned into a much bigger project than anyone had expected and they recommended right away that we should get another guy along with another truck. That wasn't available so they did the best they could working an almost 12 hour day. They arrived right on time and took good care of wrapping and moving our furniture. They kept moving all the time and did not try to waste time since we were paying by the hour. We enjoyed working with them and wouldn't hesitate to use them again. It was unfortunate that we had a houseful of stuff after 27 years of living in the same house so they didn't get everything but after that long of a day, we called it quits. Scott constantly kept me informed on how things were going, he is super at his job as the lead and kept everything moving. I can't say enough about this team and will call them again if I ever need anything moved.

Description of Work: Carson and Lucas from Willamette Valley Moving were great. They were punctual and efficient. They got our in-town move done quickly while also treating our belongings with care. Would use their services again in the future and would not hesitate to recommend them.

Description of Work: This was the best move yet. We had used other Portland movers last time, but seriously WVM is a step above the competition. The guys showed up on time and worked hard the whole time. We used them to do some packing to and everything was handled professionally and protected. I was really impressed with Drew and Matt and their work ethic and professionalism. They laid down floor protection, wrapped all the furniture and were noticeably careful moving everything. There was not one knock or ding on the walls. The icing on the cake is WMV does all this for very reasonable prices considering how much work it saved us. I would highly recommend WMV and we are definitely going to use them for our next pack and move.

Description of Work: I had never used movers before, so went on to Angies list to help us choose one. Williamette Valley Movers had high marks, so we decided to give them a try. We are so very glad that they did. They were prompt, they worked very fast and very hard, and they wrapped almost everything, or at least anything that might have gotten a scratch. I have to say I was terribly impressed. I will recommend them to anyone who even talks about moving. It was the best $570 I have ever spent. I can't say enough about them. Thank you for making a dreaded experience not so dreadful!

Description of Work: This company (Drew was lead mover for me) moved my household goods from Hillsboro to Tigard. I was extremely impressed with the two young men who completed the move; they were efficient, fast, and courteous. I have had my share of bad moving experiences this summer, but my experience with Willamette was exceptional. One item (a very heavy treadmill) was accidentally dropped off the loading ramp and, as a result, broken. The movers were sincerely sorry. I spoke with the owner of the company (Roger Campbell) that day; he immediately mailed me a check for the damages. I am truly impressed, will use this company again, and gladly refer Willamette to neighbors/friends. Cheryl Doran

Description of Work: I love Willamette Valley Moving!! They are all so professional and do a quick and amazing job. They went above and beyond what I expected from them with making sure that nothing got damaged and that everything was placed just were I wanted it even if I changed my mind 3-4 times they were always kind and willing to do it. Description of Work: Dave and Earl arrived early, worked hard and fast, and were very careful. They unloaded our 16' storage pod in 2 hrs and then helped us setup our rooms. We would use this service again and would recommend them to our friends.

Description of Work: They moved all our belonging from a three bedroom home plus all the items in a off site storage unit from Portland, OR to the Tacoma, WA area. The plan was to have a two man crew and a 24 ft. truck do the job. When the two man crew showed up, they realized that another truck would be needed. This was going to increase the cost of the move significantly from the original estimate. Having many of our items already loaded on the first truck, we felt we had no choice but pay the larger cost. When we spoke with the owner, he agreed that the size of the move was underestimated and wasn't our fault. He sent another truck and two more men to finish the job. The owner did not charge us for the extra truck which we felt was a fair. The crews worked very hard and were very professional. The first two man crew drove both trucks to our new home and unloaded everything after driving three hours to the new home. They did an outstanding job and would hire them again. In hindsight, we should have had someone survey the size of the job and gotten a written estimate. We don't believe the owner or his crew intentionally underestimated the cost. Being on Angies List gave us the confidence to go ahead with them without a written estimate. We were able to absorb the additional $1,000 but another family might not have been able to do so and would have had a major problem.

Description of Work: We chose Willamette Valley Movers based on other reports from Angie's List. They were hired to move my mother from her retirement community apartment to my sister's home. Everything went very smoothly. The two guys showed up on time, were very courteous, worked like crazy and we hardly had to do anything. I would definitely hire them again.

Description of Work: They arrived on time. They were timely with loading and unloading. They protected my carpet and were very careful with our belongings. We have had a back experience with past movers and this company did an excellent job. Would definitely hire again and recommend to others, Thank you.

Description of Work: They were fabulous and I had a great experience with them. I used their services to help one of my friends to move from this building to a living place for senior citizens. She moved from my current apartment to an 8th floor of a 10 storey building and it was a 13 miles drive. WILLAMETTE VALLEY MOVING INC handled her goods movement. They were very courteous and cautious about her belongings. Their pricing was very reasonable. Their service and pricing was phenomenal. They double wrapped all the goods. They were very friendly. Another thing that impressed me about them was that if you don’t want to move certain things that you were not going to be using, then they took those things from you and donated them to South Asian army and shelters for the homeless, on good will. I started using them way back when I was working when I had to move our employees from one location to another and they were very good. Hence I suggested my friend to use them and she was extremely happy with their services. She was very satisfied with their price as some other vendor had charged her friend a $1000 for a similar move. They also did a neat work and cleaned up after themselves.

Description of Work: What can I say that hasn't been said before? Ryan and Brandon (the R&B team) showed up a half hour early, immediately got to work, shrink wrapped everything, and got me moved from my little cottage into my home in 2 hours and 15 minutes. They were friendly, fast, and very efficient. I hope the owner of this company pays them well for what they do--they are worth every penny of it. These guys worked every minute they were here. When I think of all the years I moved with the help of my good-hearted friends and a U-Haul truck, and how long it took and how much damage was done and how badly I imposed on them, I just wince. Thank goodness I finally learned that, with the help of professionals like Willamette Valley Movers, moving can be, if not enjoyable, at least a relatively painless task, and actually cheaper in the long run than DIY.

Description of Work: We had to change our moving day with little notice. The company was great about helping us out. The movers were friendly and competent.

Description of Work: I found this moving company on Angie's list, and after reading all of the responses, I decided to call. They were able to set up an appointment during my initial phone call. It was a move that required two stops prior to the final unload. Brian and Ryan were fantabulous; they ran in 85 degree weather to make sure that no time was wasted. They were very helpful and efficient and took great care with all my items. They had a good rapport with each other, which was one of the reasons I think they were so efficient and were able to establish one with me as well. Their prices I felt were super in comparison to experiences I have had in the Seattle area with movers. Previous to this move, I have hired movers 3 times (in the Seattle area) and all charged a minimum of 450.00 to move the same items these two did. Mind you, I didn't have any stairs (this time) and no large appliances.

Description of Work: I moved from a high rise apartment to a house in the SW hills located on a very steep hillside with many difficult to maneuver stairs. They finished my move in a very timely manner. They went above and beyond my own expectations.
