I used Willamette Valley Moving for my move in February and I am extremely happy with the experience. I received a recommendation from a friend who had used them a year prior. He is a very critical person by nature and had nothning but great things to say. I also checked out their reviews on Angie's list, which were all stellar. We moved from a 4 story townhouse to a 2 story home. Everyone I interacted with throughout the entire process was friendly and courteous. I had never used movers before so I was a little apprhensive. The person that did my estimate addressed all of my concerns and answered any questions I had. On the day of the move, a team of 3 guys arrived on time (on time = 5-10 min early) and went right to work. They were very professional and handled my things with care while still moving expeditiously. They were also careful of the homes we were moving in and out of. They made sure to clean up behind themselves and put down padding where it was necessary. The service I received was phenomenal. I highly recommend using Willamette Valley Moving and I plan to use them in the future. If you have the option I would ask for the team I had, Santos, Carlos and Jose. They were a great team and worked seamlessly together.

They did not come out to give me an estimate even though I requested one then when the job was done they tried to charge me twice what they quoted me. I did not pay that but did pay over the quoted price.

It went very well - the guys who moved me were awesome! They asked good questions, shrink wrapped everything that needed it (previous movers I used had said they would, and then didn't saying "oh we don't have any shrink wrap"!) They arrived on time, and delivered everything safely, zero damage - making sure everything went into the rooms intended (which also had been a problem with other movers). They were also very flexible with my moving date as the awful winter weather in Portland was freaking me out... I think I changed the date four times! If you need to move in the Portland area, do yourself a favor and use Willamette Valley Moving!

These three worked as a team and kept the 2 day move focused and on task. Wish they could have been there for the unpack too! We felt they did care about what was being moved and that made our stress level go down 10 fold!

Harlan Nelson came to our home and provided a written estimate and provided some good packing tips and recommended Home Depot for competitively priced source for moving boxes. He estimated approximately 16 hours total including loading, round trip drive time and unloading. We chose Willamette as their hourly method rate was the best match for the amount of goods we had and the distance to the destination. We had boxed all our kitchen goods, clothing, personal belongings, garage / garden tools. We only had one major appliance , a refrigerator to move. Ulises and Ray were the assigned movers and arrived on time for loading and took approximately 4 hours. The next day arrived at our home in Washington on time for the unloading.They were friendly and did an excellent job ensuring all the major furniture items were protected and wrapped and during unloading were careful unwrapping and placing contents where we wanted them. Enjoyed working with them. The move went very well, no surprises, no damage. I would highly recommend Willamette Movers. The finished job cost was exactly as estimated.

The whole process went smoothly. They arrived in the middle of a Portland snowstorm and never complained. The 3 gentlemen were professional, quick and polite. They moved the items as we instructed and with care. Everything was wrapped up tight and protected. I would definitely use their services again!

Willamette Moving was extremely professional. The crew worked quickly and carefully to move all our our belongings. I was very pleased with both the price and the service. I would most definitely hire them again.

Santos and Jose did an amazing job. Even though I tried to reduce my belongings before the move, and it was from two-bedroom to one-bedroom apartment just five miles away, it turns out I still had a lot of stuff. I was mostly packed before they arrived, and managed to finish the last kitchen items as they finished. They packed it all up in two hours, then moved it and unpacked in another hour and a half. They were friendly and efficient, and everything arrived intact and undamaged, even with my amateurish packing. The price was more than reasonable too.

The movers where on time, efficient, took great care of my things as well as my home and were friendly.

The move went perfectly. Our movers were Michael, Shannon and Chris 2. They picked up on April 12th and delivered on April 13th. I did the packing prior. They were on time at each end, very fast, efficient and professional in every way. The piano arrived in mint condition and they had to carry it down a flight of stairs out of our townhouse. They were amazingly quick and Michael could tell us exactly how long it would take to lood and unload. Shannon took everything apart and got it back together and Chris 2 ran up and down stairs with heavy loads. We would highly recommend this team of movers.

This was an absolutely great experience. Everything went better than I could have expected starting with the first call. Roger was on time for the estimate, professional and thorough and the total bill came in a bit lower than the estimate. Michael and Shannon showed up the day of the move a few minutes early and wasted no time getting to work. They were professional and fun, and they worked hard the entire time with only one brief break. I had everything packed, and they got it loaded onto the truck and unloaded into my new house in under five hours. There was no damage to anything as they took great care with every box and piece of furniture. I wish I would have used this service before. I would definitely recommend this company to my friends and family and I will use them in the future (though I hope I'm not moving any time soon). Great! 2 men showed up on time at 0900. Immediately got to work and had me out of there and into the new place in 2.5hrs! I felt they cared for my property during the move, wrapping furniture in blankets & shrink wrap. The guys were professional and definitely knew how to efficiently make a move. I will use them again, but hopefully not too soon (moving sucks!)

Everything was GREAT. The truck got caught in traffic - major construction in the area. They called and said they would be about 15 minutes late. They arrived at the new time and got right to work. They carefully protected the furniture - dresser drawers, china closet, bed room mirror and dresser. The big item was a HEAVY piano. They carefully moved the piano down a long flight of stairs, out onto my deck and then down more stairs. They were VERY careful. They delivered the furniture and unloaded into the house in Portland quickly and efficiently. They cleaned everything up. The three man crew was made up of Santos, Jose and Ribahi. All good me with complete command of English so there were NO misunderstandings. GREAT crew, would use them again in a heartbeat!

These guys were great. They were very fast and took great care to wrap my furniture to protect it from damage and dirt. I also had just had my oak floors refinished, and the delay on that project made the finish fairly fresh. I told the movers about my issue and that I wanted to make sure the felt covering were on every piece of furniture so the newly refinished floors wouldn't be damaged. They checked EVERY piece of furniture, and if the felt had fallen off, they sought me out to replace it before they would put the furniture down on the floors. I can't tell you how much I appreciated that since not only had a spent a significant amount on the floors, they looked beautiful and I wanted to keep them that way. The two men took no breaks and just worked hard all the way through until they were done. I would definitely recommend Willamette Valley after the care their employees took with my move.

These guys were awesome. We had to first pick up a washer and dryer at the new house and move it to the old house before we could start moving. I thought this would take a long time but they were in and out with the washer and dryer so fast I could hardly believe it. Back at the house they wrapped up much of the furniture in plastic so everything was well protected. They moved quickly the entire time, when they weren't carrying furniture they were practically jogging and didn't waste a minute. They also listened to us about the packing order so that we could get the rugs in first at the new house before placing furniture. They rolled in extra floor protection for our hardwood floors. A few friends were also helping us move and they were all impressed with these guys. A couple of them made note of the company and got their number for future moves. I am definitely calling them first if I do another move.

Three guys showed up on time the morning of the move. We had a lot of misc. stuff laying around still and they put together big wardrobe boxes and packed it all up for us. That was very helpful. All of our furniture they wrapped with a lot of cling wrap...took a bit of extra time but our stuff was safe this way. The move took about twice as long as they quoted me on the phone, but the guys were moving quickly. A picture frame fell and the glass broke. They showed me and took it back to their shop and had the glass replaced. One of their guys even brought it back to my house for me. Overall I am very happy with the service they provided.

I had never used professional movers before, but after using Willamette Valley Movers, I will use them again and again! They provided the moving truck, 3 guys (Michael, Shannon, and Derrick), moving blankets, and assortment of ramps to get our stuff up/down a multitude of steps. There was a charge for some of the wrapping tape, but they were upfront about it and it was definitely worth it. Starting the day of, they pulled up to our house right on time. They made sure the truck they provided protected the grass, sprinkler system, and any other part of the property when they backed it in. They took a quick survey of our stuff and got right to work. Couches, end tables, etc were quickly blanketed, shrink wrapped, and loaded up. The piano? No problem. They wrapped it, placed it on the dolly, and out the door. I actually missed them loading it into the new house because they were so fast. All three guys were great with my kids too! They were very polite, professional, no foul language, no signs of frustration over heavy or odd objects. On the final unload, they made sure everything got into the correct rooms plus neatly stacked/arranged so we didn?t have to climb over stuff to get into the rooms. My whole family was able to sleep in our own beds that night and spend the rest of the weekend settling in, instead of recovering from the move. Overall we had a great experience, and they were worth every penny. My family will use them again and will request Michael, Shannon, and Derrick again! Thanks Willamette Valley Movers!

These guys are the best! I have used Willamette multiple times for jobs big and small, and have consistently gotten great crews that are prompt, professional and courteous. Each of my moves have been out of the ordinary: multiple staircases; oversize, heavy furniture; fragile antiques, and each time the guys have done a great job. Yesterday's move was emptying one storage unit and consolidating another. Drew and Chris arrived a few minutes early, did an amazing job of transferring items from one unit to another, then brought the remainder to my home. They were fast, efficient and very careful with my belongings. I would highly recommend Willamette for your next move.

These folks are very easy to work with. No problem setting a time and date for a walkthrough. Harlan showed up on time and he's extremely professional. His walkthrough and analysis was complete....just one of those situations where we went with another mover. Nothing wrong with Willamette Valley Moving - in fact, I'd reach out to them to have provide a competitive quote if we move again. All in all...I'd recommend them to others.

We just were not completely packed when they arrived right on time. These guys were totally familiar and efficient with how to finish it for us. Nothing was damaged and I was in awe of how they got all of our stuff packed into that truck like Tetris puzzle pieces, all the way to the top! They were very courteous and quick. I was happy the job was done faster and cost less than what I'd planned for. I would definitely recommend and use this company again. Thanks Michael, Julio and Clayton!

We needed help unloading a truck of furniture including a 200+ pound antique Wedgewood stove & the boxes of items associated, a fragile curved-glass front cabinet and a variety of other smaller, but no less precious to us items. The guys we had thought were going to help unload were unable to, leaving me panicked. I contacted Willamette Valley Movers and Earl responded quickly and with a couple of options. Dave and Kevin arrived early and were courteous and extermely careful with all of our belongings -- and they moved the stove seemingly effortlessly. I will be needing assistance clearing out our storage unit soon and will be calling Willamette Valley Moving to help!! Dave and Kevin are fantastic!!

We were blown away by the professionalism, care, and expertise shown by Ulises, Reyes, and Scott. They packed our 4bd home top to bottom in 6 hours and moved us the next day in a total of 7 hours. Careful and efficient, even up and down a lot of stairs. Can't recommend them highly enough! Packed quickly and perfectly, nothing is scratched or damaged. Complete ease of mind with this crew.
