+ -1 moreSam's Hardwood did a horrible job refinishing my existing and installation of new hardwood. It was full of construction defects. I had to go through Contractors Board and also sued them in court. I did win the lawsuit. They did not honor their warranty and refused to fix it.

Description of Work: We had existing oak hardware floors (laid in 1940's and then covered by several layers of flooring over the ensuing 40 years) in half of our kitchen and fir in the other half and laundry room. Sam installed hardware and salvaged the for boards in kitchen to repair missing and damaged boards in the laundry room. The result was a floor that is seamless and has the aged beauty but looks brand new. He did a beautiful job. He also had to match the stain on the kitchen with the adjoining rooms and did it perfectly. I could not be happier with how it turned out.

+ -1 moreSam was very detailed in his initial consultation. I really felt like there were not going to be any surprise costs. I had a bid from another contractor and when he left I realized there were many things he hadn't asked me about or discussed. I went with Sam not only because of his detailed consultation but because he had done my neighbors floors and they looked great. The area of new wood flooring had to be blended with the old flooring and Sam did an excellent job. I can't even tell where the old flooring and new flooring intersect. He also noticed that I had a blend of #1 and Select red oak, so he purchased some of each and tried to mix them so it matched the old floor. He did a great job.
Description of Work: I had Sam refinish about 500+ sf of existing red oak flooring and he added about 250 sf of new flooring.
