A Cut Above Exteriors were incredibly easy to work with and exceeded expectations. Every step of the process was explained thoroughly so we knew what to expect and when. Bill did a great job working with us to put our quote together, including everything we asked for, explaining why would should cut out or add certain details, and explained how the actual work would happen. Sam was an amazing project manager. During our initial walk-around he went over every aspect of the project to make sure we were all on the same page. Nick and Ruslan did amazing work in getting the old siding off and new siding on. They dealt very well with a couple surprises once the house was open and showed us the damage, discussed the fix, and called us outside again to see the finished fix before installing the siding over it. The electrical, plumbing, and painters that they use were also amazing. We had our final walk-around the other day and Sam made that easy as well. Our house is beautiful, we know the bones of the house are safe, and we would recommend A Cut Above Exteriors to anyone who needs work done.

Everything about the experience was excellent. We had our whole house re-sided with Hardie lap siding replacing our original cedar siding from the 70’s. The attention to detail during the initial sales consultations with Mani diligently explaining and breaking down the cost of each section of the work scope was the reason why we chose A Cut Above Exteriors above other competitors. Once the project started, Sam our project manager was thorough and attentive to our questions and concerns. He also kept us informed of all changes or additions that needed to be addressed when surprises did pop-up on-site. The crew Nick and Ruslan worked efficiently and cleaned up the site every day. They went above and beyond our expectations and got the project completed ahead of schedule. The painting crew also were super-efficient and got our whole house pained in one day. Our home now stands out on the block and we have received many compliments from neighbors walking by. Without reservation we highly recommend A Cut Above Exteriors.

The entire experience was great from start to finish. All of the crew were extremely professional, thorough and very cautious with regards to being COVID safe. My old roof was in dire need of replacement, it had soooo many issues and the Project Mgr; Randy was very detailed and upfront with all the work that needed to be done as well as possible additional damage. The crew worked diligently, cleaned up everyday and always double checked all their work. They kept us informed of all changes or addition that needed to be addressed and in doing so, there were no surprises. In the end we couldn’t be happier. Everything about our experience was fabulous. We had hardi-plank siding installed over T111 siding on our home and two out buildings. Mani was an excellent sales representative, explaining our options and working with us on price. Randy was a thorough and attentive project manager. Juan and Martin, the installers, went above and beyond in assisting with prep of the site. They were polite and professional. The painting crew was neat and fast. The result is beautiful. Our home now stands out on our block. I would highly recommend this group of professionals.

We hired A-Cut-Above Exteriors to replace the siding on our garage addition which was built in the mid-1960's and in disrepair. After researching and contacting 3 other local siding companies we had been "matched" with through Angie's List/Home Advisor and frustrated by the lack of response and un-professionalism we reached out to A-Cut-Above. We were immediately impressed by the professionalism and pride shown by all of the employees that we worked with at A-Cut-Above. Our experience was 5 star - from the initial call, first meeting, estimating, scheduling, project management, quality of the work and the follow up after the project was finished. They are working hard to live up to their name - they truly are A-Cut-Above!

A Cut Above Exteriors completed our home roof shingle, siding and outdoor painting projects. All parts of the work were outstanding. Attention to all details, follow-through, and word-keeping were hallmarks from start to finish. Their subject matter expertise and workmanship were evident and clearly exceeded other contractors’ offerings albeit a bit more expensive than others’. The two-man installation crew were ACAE employees (not sub-contractors), knowledgeable and completed both installation stages of the project. Without question, I’ve never seen two men work harder nor more conscientiously and efficiently. The finished project quality has garnered many neighbor compliments. Their associated painters were superb as well. Without reservation I highly recommend ACAE.

The whole process went off without a hitch. From top to bottom. Everything that we requested and they put down in the contract was done way beyond our satisfaction. Juan/Martin showed up every morning right on time and answered any question we may have had about the process. there work was exceptional and they cleaned up every night.

I am extremely satisfied with the work that was performed. The entire staff was courteous and easy to work with, particularly the construction workers who were always willing to answer questions I had as the work proceeded. Would definitely recommend.

We have just completed a very large siding job on both my house and extended two car garage. The house floor plan is quite complex with many tricky places and is also two stories. The entire job took just under 7 weeks because there was plenty of bad wood hiding under the old vinyl siding. I ended up replacing 12 windows and 2 doors along with about half the fascia and barge board. There was plenty of plywood and framing lumber to replace to boot. All this work was performed by A Cut Above’s two-man crew. The workers are quite skilled at all the tasks involved with this type of rework. Their knowledge of Hardie Plank installation techniques and their attention to detail are remarkable. I am very pleased with the outcome. They have turned a house built in 1950 in to one as tough and well protected as a new one. I highly A Cut Above Exteriors.

A Cut Above Exteriors was terrific from start to finish. Out of 4 bids, they were the one that detailed their work plan in a way that made us comfortable trusting them to completely reside our 1913 home. Bill is wonderful and clearly has a fine appreciation and respect for old Portland homes. He is easy to work with and has an eye for detail. He noted some roof flashing that had been poorly installed by another company and asked if they could include this in the scope of the work. He and Randy clearly outlined everything they intended to do and discussed the rationale behind their decision-making. Options were always laid out and we never felt pushed to do more. Juan and Martin did the installation and were amazing! We have so much appreciation for their skill and detail work. They patiently answered any questions we had and were truly always several steps ahead of us with thoughtful answers. This allowed us to relax and trust them to do their work. Randy stayed in touch throughout the project and was super responsive. While A Cut Above is not the least expensive siding company, you get what you pay for. Ultimately, our home looks absolutely wonderful. We are so happy we went with A Cut Above. Thank you to the whole team!

very professional, did not over promise, made me feel I was their most important customer

After doing quite a bit of research on the Internet, this company was first on our list to contact regarding roof and roof window replacement on our home. Their consultant (Bill) arrived to our home to give us a bid. He was very personable, extremely thorough, and did not pressure or upsell. We were so impressed that we opted not to contact the other few companies on our list. Bill provided us with a detailed step-by-step guide on the process in addition to the detailed description of roofing work to be performed. Bill next introduced us to Randy (Project Manager) and he, too, is very personable and is dedicated to seeing that a job is done well. The crew showed up each day by 8 a.m. at the latest and worked until late afternoon. They were very detail-oriented and worked very hard and cleaned up around the exterior each day. They took care to avoid damage to plants/trees. Randy returned after completion to inspect the roof and make certain that we were completely satisfied. Our interactions with office staff were very pleasant. We are very impressed with their knowledge and expertise.

We started with replacing a single door and uncovered an unimaginable mess with dry rot from poorly installed siding (original house). We got A Cut Above Exteriors to evaluate the situation and their expertise helped us find the right solution (a combination of contracted work, with one price and guarantee; and then spot repairs for other portions of the house). Their dedication, craftsmanship, and attention to detail is amazing. The crew (Sam as the project manager and Nick & Anatoliy) were keys to the success. We have future work planned (unrelated) and will be hiring them without a doubt!!!

My wife and I are extremely happy with the siding replacement done by our team from A Cut Above. Jamie was the sales rep, Sam was our project manager, and Nick and Anatoly were the installers. They may be on the more expensive side, but they use some of the best materials - official James Hardie siding - and did an amazing job. It may also be worth mentioning that they were able to offer us a repayment plan (upon credit approval) through a financing partner which made the whole thing much less stressful as well. Other than that, we were very happy they were able to fit us into their schedule and finished the project efficiently and professionally. We can rest easy at night knowing that there won't be any dry rot on our house and the new siding looks beautiful to boot.

We had such a positive experience from start to finish with everyone we dealt with at ACAE. The presentation by Tony with the estimate on the work to be done was an excellent example of professionalism; everything was covered, he answered all our questions, and gave us possible scenarios that we may encounter along the way. The project manager Sam was exceptional; he went out of his way to resolve an issue when an unexpected problem with one of our windows was discovered, he gave us options, we made our choice, and the problem was taken care of without it impacting our timeline. The crew consisted of Andre, Vlad and Ivan and they continued the professionalism with their great work ethic, competency in doing a job well done, and their respect toward us, the homeowners. We couldn't be happier and will definitely call on them for any future work we may need on our home.

Selecting A Cut Above Exteriors to renovate the exterior of our home was the best decision we could have made. We had old vinyl siding on top of lead-painted lap siding, several vinyl windows with broken seals, and desperately needed a new front door. The team at ACAE was amazing to work with right from the start. Bill was very knowledgeable about every aspect of the project, and his bid was thoroughly explained, transparent, and well presented. Our project manager Randy, was fantastic; knowledgeable, professional, incredibly responsive with excellent communication every step of the way, and just an all around great guy to work with. I work at home, so I had the unique experience of being in the house for the entire remodel. This afforded me the opportunity to watch and learn throughout the whole process, observing the skills and amazing work ethic of the construction team who took such pride in their work, was respectful of my property and neighbors, and who cleaned up after themselves every single day. The teams at ACAE are serious professionals who exceeded our expectations in every way. The final results were truly amazing, our house looks gorgeous, and we are so impressed with the overall quality of the work and professionalism of every person we worked with. It went wonderfully. The price might be a bit expensive but we believe you get what you pay for...everything was done in a very timely manner without any surprises. We were told what to expect and received exactly that. The work has been guarantee for 50 years and that alone made this worth every penny!

We just had a great experience with Renewal by Anderson. Uriel and John H. just finished replacing 11 original windows in our 1921 craftsman. The installation went off without any issues. Uriel and John arrived on time, were very polite, and performed their work efficiently finishing ahead of schedule. We really appreciated their professionalism. We are happy not only with the quality of the work the installers did but also with the windows. The new windows have all the charm we had with the old windows. We are very happy with our choice!

The materials and quality of the work are top notch, and we are very happy with the outcome. The project manager did a great job communicating details and resolving some discrepancies between the contract and the initial work plan.

I highly recommend A Cut Above Exteriors. I initially contacted them to replace my siding, but along the way we discovered serious issues that needed to be addressed, resulting in new roofing, gutters, insulation, and major electrical work as well. Although the final job was much larger than I originally anticipated, the need for the work was clearly demonstrated and explained at each point of the process. They also helped to connect me with third-party contractors when needed, and their contacts helped to get the work done on short notice to keep the project moving along. A Cut Above Exteriors, and particularly my project manager Randy Gardner, excel at communication. At each step along the way, I had a clear idea of the timeline, costs, and steps involved in the project. Randy was very responsive by email, text or phone at any time of day to any question or request. Although A Cut Above Exteriors wasn't the lowest price bid I received, the quality of the work and the crew is top notch.

A Cut Above Exteriors was fantastic to work with from start to finish. The listened to my requests, needs, and concerns. They found solutions to challenges that my 118 yr old house presented. They were on time, very thorough, and cleaned up daily. They had to work in a pretty tight time window and race against unpredictable weather. A Cut Above Exteriors were not the lowest of the bids I received, they weren't even in the middle, but they were the ones I felt most comfortable with. They were the ones with the most thorough and detailed bid. They were the ones that fully communicated best and worst case scenarios for my specific project. They were the ones that ensured I was apprised of the progress of my job on a daily basis. They were the ones that explained any snags that arose and how it was going to be rectified. They weren't the cheapest but they are the one I would hire again in a heart beat.

This was our second time using A Cut Above for our home in West Linn. They completed the removal and reinstallation of our cedar shake siding and repaired some dry rot around some new windows we had installed. As someone who works with a number of contractors, this company is truly excellent in their workmanship and professionalism. I'm certain their are cheaper options, but I'm a value guy and these guys are an excellent value for what you get.

My experience with A Cut Above Exteriors’ installation of HardiPlank lap siding on my 1931 home was impressive. From the Sales Consultant Jason’s project assessment, design suggestions, scope of work, cost, and final project agreement, to the Project Manager Sam’s handling of the complete project, who was always available for every question, to the Project Leader, maestro Nikolai, this home improvement project could not have gone more smoothly. The crew’s work ethic, arriving punctually every day, their attention to detail, repairing patches of dry rot, and Nikolai’s design ideas to improve the aesthetics of my home, as wells as the paint job by Vladimir and his crew, far exceeded my expectations. Throughout the project everyone was friendly, communicative, and professional. I also ended up replacing my basement and garage windows using Renewal by Anderson that A Cut Above Exteriors is associated with. With their array of services, along with their expertise and professionalism, it goes without saying that I highly recommend A Cut Above Exteriors.

All phases of the job went really well overall. Both the siding crew and painting crew were very professional, showed up on time, worked hard and did a terrific job. They cleaned up every day and were respectful to my wife and I as well as respectful of our property. Peter, the salesman, gave an honest and straightforward presentation; Sam, the project manager was always available to address our concerns and answer questions clearly and calmly; Sergay, who ran the siding crew and performed some extra work on this job is a real pro; and we greatly appreciated Dennis, one of the painters, who gave up a Saturday to make sure the painting would be completed before the coming rain. A great team!
