Description of Work: I had the owner come out and measure for new windows. He had two great ideas, we went with it. He did not talk us out of anything. It took us several months to figure out what our plan was, Energy-guard was very patient. We made a few changes and then ordered the windows. The windows were delivered on the day they said within the 'window' they gave us. We installed them ourselves. We are extremely happy with the windows so far. I highly recommend them!

Description of Work: We had a cracked window in our kitchen and were getting bids on window replacements from different window companies. Darren came by on time on the scheduled date, saw our cracked window, could sense our uncertainty regarding purchasing new windows, and told us that instead of wasting time, energy and money on window replacements, we should just contact a glass company and have them come out and replace the one pane of glass. Darren could tell that we had not done all of our research and were unsure of the direction we wanted to go in regards to window make-overs. What a novel concept!! Darren did not try to sell us windows, but pointed us in the direction that would save us time and money. He told us that our windows were in good condition, so we should wait until we were truly ready to do a window make-over. He even recommended glass companies. Thank you, Darren! Based on this honesty alone, we would use EnergyGuard for our window make-overs in the future!

Description of Work: We had an excellent experience from beginning to end. I met Nancy at the Fall Home Improvement show and we had several companies visit and give estimates for the windows that we were replacing in our home built in 1978. This company was the best in terms of overall service. Communication from the office was top-notch, all questions were promptly answered to our satisfaction, estimates were accurate and informative, and the work was done competently in a prompt and professional manner. In spite of the extremely cold weather the workmen were cheerful and quick to perform their tasks. They were most helpful in providing the necessary documentation for Energy Trust of Oregon. We continue to enjoy our new windows!

Description of Work: In May '07 they installed a new window and sliding doors in our 1969 split entry house. Removed all old aluminum windows and doors. There were two 6 foot sliding doors and one 8 foot sliding door. We used Milgard windows. We chose wood clad fiberglass for the upstairs windows and sliders. Wood clad were: 2 bedrooms, kitchen, dining, bathroom and 12 ft wide picture window. Downstairs is all vinyl: 3 bedrooms, 2 family room, bathroom and one slider. One window is laminated. Also one fixed window in garage. Darren made SEVERAL wonderful suggestions for us. We have all casement style windows upstairs. He cut down the Master and Den window by 12" to enlarge the window. He suggested a fixed, obscure for the laundry room and garage. He suggested enlarging the fixed center glass in our big picture window with casement on each side. He also provided the knotty alder for the casings and mouldings to me early so I could finish them before the install. I was able to stain and finish the mouldings.

Description of Work: They replaced 40 of my retro 1977 aluminum doors and windows with Milgard Tuscany white windows. To maximize my view, I wanted to drop the size of a dozen windows and reconfigure some of the windows. This was a big job and my windows are huge. I also replaced 3 sliders and added a new one. Darren (the owner) was FANTASTIC at design. He told me what sizes and styles would be good. He also told me when something was not cost effective and came up with other suggestions. He spent a lot of time on-site ensuring he understood my objective and needs.

Description of Work: Removed 23 windows in my 1958 ranch style home, and replaced them with 23 Milgard Classic style windows.
