Jose Giron came out within a day of my phone call to give me an estimate. The estimate was competitive with other companies. I chose Giron Construction because of their prompt and competitive bid. They also have an arrangement for 12-month free financing, which certainly helped out. The work started in less than a week and went smoothly. The workers put in long days, and were pleasant to deal with. Teo left his number and said he would be overseeing the project and that I should call him if I had any questions or concerns. There was good communication on all fronts, including with Mike Kroon, the general manager. I definitely will work with this company again for other projects I have for my house.

Lucas provided exceptional customer service going above and beyond of what was agreed to. Roofing crew was very professional and completed work on time. Left the job site very clean. The only negative was the gutter installers were not at all the same quality as the roofers and we would not use them again. If your looking for a quality honest roofing company we would recommend Giron!

I am so impressed with the company. I had a bid from a company that I'd used before (and liked) but a friend happened to mention it was "awfully high" so I looked through the AL magazine and picked out Giron. I gave them a call and they came out the following Sat to give me a bid. The gentleman was great- professional, polite, answered all my questions, calc'd the roof area and while he was looking at numbers I casually asked if they did gutters as well. He said "yes" and I asked for a separate quote for those as well. The bid, including gutters (previous bid did not include these) came in nearly 5k less then the first one I'd received. I did some looking online, BBB etc....seemed to good to be true. I decided to take a chance and accepted the bid. I wasn't in a great hurry so said Feb was fine. Towards the end of January we had some decent weather and rec'd a call asking if they could start sooner. Sure, no problem. Monday morning I'd already left for work when they arrived but they were still working when I got home at dusk. Next day by the time I got home the roof was done, looked great and the yard was looking better than when I'd left. My next door neighbor was so impressed by them he hired them to do the roof of his garage (it looks good too). A week or so later a rep came out to make sure I was happy and make sure I didn't have any questions/concerns. I rec'd a warranty letter in the mail from Malarky shingles place complete with contact info should there be a problem. I am very happy I chose this company and would do so again in a heartbeat.

We were very happy with the entire experience working with Giron Construction. Throughout the process, Teo (the owner) and Lucas (the sales rep) were responsive and easy to work with. We were able to schedule a consultation very quickly (online even!), got an estimate shortly thereafter (which Lucas explained very clearly), and got the installation scheduled at a time that was convenient for us within a few short weeks. And they communicated with us throughout to ensure that everything met our satisfaction. When the time came for the work to be done, their crews were knowledgeable and experienced. For example, when it turned out that the existing plywood decking was in bad shape and needed to be replaced (at added expense), the lead roofer patiently showed me everything and answered all my questions. All of their staff were very polite and professional. We would definitely hire them again. Highly recommended!

I called for an estimate and left a message. Had call returned within hours. Sent Lucas their representative for an estimate who came and gave the roof a thorough check up and carefully explained everything they would do. After Lucas left we reviewed the info packet and samples.We were not certain of color from samples and we called the company and the owner sent us an email of addresses of several homes in our area to view. This helped a lot as they do look a little different. We confirmed with the follow up meting with Lucas and signing of the contract. There was never any kind of pressure or push to select their company over another. We appreciated that. The crew showed up exactly as promised promptly at 8:00 am. They were very friendly and professional and took great care to protect plants and even a pond next to the house. They completed almost all of the roofing project and returned the following morning exactly at the time they promised, completed the roof and cleaned up. We highly recommend the entire crew and company. We referred them to are neighbor that evening. We have already had compliments on our new roof.

We contacted Teo around the 11th of January, 2016. We found a leak in our house that appeared to be coming from our roof. I got Teo's name from Angie's List and checked out his reviews. We contacted him and he was out later that day to inspect our roof. He had three workers out the following day to start tearing off the part of the roof that needed repair. That's when we found the plywood underneath the shingles was completely soaked and black. We asked Teo to inspect the roof and he found additional rotting wood in other spots on our roof. The roof was only 10 years old and we expected to get a least another 10 years out of it. (and had a warranty that claimed it would last 30 years) We tried contacting the original roofer but he had disappeared. We told Teo to start tearing out the involved sheets of plywood. We inspected each board they tore out and found 26 boards that were water soaked and rotting. We asked Teo to replace the roof as we had little faith the remaining few areas would hold up much longer. He and his crew arrived on time, started work immediately and completed the project in three days. The crew was very efficient and helpful. They showed us where the original material had been incorrectly stapled to the plywood thus solving the mystery regarding why the boards were so water soaked. Teo maintained excellent communication with us. He had his field manager, Steven, inspect the work each day and told us to call them if we had any questions or concerns. Teo and his crew were patient, effecient and excellent in what they do. They cleaned the work area each day and even cleaned out the rubbish from the original roof that had been left in our crawl space by the other roofer. (I feel that was above and beyond their normal duties.) When we first talked to Teo he told us that he would take good care of us and he did. I have nothing but praise for Teo, Steven and the entire crew. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a quality roofer with integrity and an excellent work ethic who also quotes a fair price for the work performed. We will be contacting Teo in the future to take care of other repairs as they arise.

Jose came over on a Saturday to discuss our project and give us a bid. We signed the contract for a new roof and gutters the following Wednesday and work began the very next day. Impressive. First, the roof. Israel and Jose arrived early and on time. We found them to be hardworking, professional, friendly and efficient. It took just these two guys, 2.5 days to complete the work in cold, wet weather conditions. We purchased a total tear off of the old roof and chose Malarkey, Legacy (Scotchgard) 50-year Oxford Grey shingles for the new roof. They also installed fascia board around the entire house. Cleaned up the yard after work was completed. We could not be happier with the work and the product. The new roof is absolutely beautiful! Our project was challenging as well. Jose and Israel had to work around an existing glass patio cover (which is attached to the house) that had to be unbolted and jacked up slightly in order to properly place the shingles. This was tricky because the glass is extremely thick and heavy. Once reattached, they also made sure the area around the bolts was well sealed to prevent leakage. A few days later, Fedencio and Jose installed the new 5k gutters. They too were experienced, efficient workers who got right to work and did a great job. We are pleased to recommend Giron Construction here on Angie?s List. All of these professionals worked on our house as if it was their own home. That gave us a feeling of confidence that the work was done right. We intend to use them on our next project: Painting the exterior of the house.

Lucas Trejo was very professional and friendly. He gave us a reasonable quote for the job and answered all of our questions. The work team arrived on time and finished job in time promised. They were in constant communication with us regarding the unexpected findings in the job. They did an excellent job in cleanup of the job site. We were very happy with their work and results. I would highly recommend this company, and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

First, Lucas contacted us within 24 hours of our call/e-mail. He was extremely personable, efficient and honest. He gave us an estimate of the costs for (1) leak repair only on the roof and (2) total cost of roof replacement. He was forthright in telling us the roof would last another 6-7 years and they could repair the area where the leak occurred. He did not pressure us in anyway. Rather he asked us to think it over, get other estimates (we already had 1) and get back with him if we had any questions. He took pictures of the roof and carefully explained everything: from the vents to the leak area. After the 3rd estimate came in, we chose Giron. Lucas came by and reviewed everything again with us. We contacted them and they said it would probably be 2 weeks..but they would keep us posted. We got an e-mail about a week later saying they had an opening on 1/20...did we want to begin? We jumped on it. They completed 98% of the work on day 1. They came back the next morning at 8:00 am and finished the roof! They cleaned up the entire parameter of our house and did an excellent job. A worker came by later to replace the gutter screens that had to be removed during the roof installation. The new ones are better than the old ones! Our little rock wall on the side of the driveway took some hits with all the equipment. Lucas had that repaired within 24 hours! Everyone we worked with: Jennifer, Mike, Lucas and the workers were friendly and professional. They followed up several days after completion to check on our satisfaction of : roofing, gutter screens and rock wall. All were done outstandingly! We are not ones to praise people/businesses unless it is well deserved. And, Giron deserves it! Of note: they had a Coupon on Angie's list that we used; and, they also came in with the lowest bid! Giron was the only bidder who would use metal vents/caps instead of plastic and shingles that keeps moss from growing.

Very painless. In and out in a single day, seriously. Very professional, clean, finished, done, 30 year warranty. No excuses, EXCELLENT value.

Getting the visit scheduled was easy. Within an hour of purchasing the deal through Angie's list, I was contacted to get in touch with the office. I called and was able to get on the schedule within a reasonable amount of time. I had a leak that needed to be addressed and I thought that purchasing an inspection would help identify other issues that might need to be fixed as well. Instead, it just involved the service provider giving me a bid on fixing the existing leak, but ultimately, he recommended that I replace my entire roof because of the number of exposed nail heads. My roof had been replaced 10 years ago, and I was surprised to get this advice. After being given this estimate, I called two other roofing companies, both of which found the initial advice of a roof replacement completely unnecessary. I ended up going with a different company for my repairs because I felt that I was being taken advantage of by recommending a roof replacement.

The quality was excellent. The issue was timing and promised work dates. There were other contractors doing other things, so timing needed to be coordinated. The person who gave the bid was the owners brother. I assumed that since they had the same last name (that of the company) the brother had authority to schedule and relate those dates to me. The owner actually chastised me for assuming that his brother knew those dates. The phases all started at least a week later than promised and only then because I kept calling. The biggest problem was the delay of the main part of the roof. When they finally came it was a week late and a day after a big rain. Since the roof was open (with tarps that were put up by Giron) water did come in-a lot. The tarps were not properly held down and the wind moved them. The owner assured me that they would cover the cost of repairs to the inside drywall. I deducted those costs from the final payment. A day after he received the payment, the owner came out and said he did not feel the deduction was fair to him. I showed him receipts for the drywall work, insulation and painting. He still felt I should bear that cost. He said he lost money on the job as his estimator miss calculated the materials. I paid the originally agreed price, less the cost of repairs due to the rain. in the end, it turned out fine, but was a lot of hassle and not on time. Excellent quality though.

Teo and his team provided excellent service. During the assessment, Teo was very informative, responsive and helpful throughout this process, which is important to me as I am a first time homeowner. Teo was able to give me an estimate on the spot, his team was then able to fix the issue within 24 hours. Teo's estimate was honored and the team was quick, effective and friendly. I would definitely use and recommend this service to others in the future!

Started the job and finished on schedule. It was nice that they handled the roof, gutters and windows. Staff was professional and they kept me appraised on project. They also kept price within budgeted estimate. I would recommend them to family and friends

Although Giron's bid was the highest of five estimates, we felt they were most sincere, knowledgeable and forthright about the job. If issues arose, we felt they would be the best company to navigate and negotiate solutions. We renegotiated a moderate change in the bid and signed the contract. Soon after, we received an email from the job manager, outlining what we should expect during the re-roofing process. It was helpful to be advised that we'd need to cover our stuff in the attic to protect it from the dust and debris, and we should anticipate a possible layer of dust which could make its way inside. In a very narrow window of good weather in late October, they began the job. At one point, there were at least seven men tearing off the roof, hauling the debris to the dump box. Insulation which had been improperly installed years ago was taken down. By the end of Day 1, the roof had been totally removed and the plywood and moisture barrier in place Clean up every day included sweeping, blowing, and using the magnetic roller. By the end of Day 2, the roof was completely installed, except for a few minor corners, which were finished the next day, just as the rains began. Once we saw our beautiful new roof, we decided to go ahead and replace the gutters and downspouts, as they had been bent and mis-shapened over the years by gutter-cleaners and broken branches. Giron's manager gave us a discount since they were already on the job; it was a bit less than other bids. However, this is where an issue arose. As they began to install the gutters in the front, the gutter installer realized that because a corner of the porch foundation had settled, the gutters could not be installed as before. He said they'd have to put the downspouts in front of the porch pillars because that was the lowest point. We didn't think there were any alternatives, and the job manager basically concurred, so the downspouts were installed in front of the pillars. This was during the heaviest rainfall Portland had seen in 7 months. The installers were drenched, and the job took twice as long as expected. The next day, we looked at the gutters, and how they changed the look of the house. The downspouts were functional, but detracted from the appearance of the house. We value the aesthetics our bungalow. Our architect/neighbor suggested moving the downspouts back to the outer corners of the house front as before, but using rainchains on the front corners of the porch. The gutters could be re-sloped, and the downspouts moved. (Wish the job manager had the experience to suggest this when the workers were trying to figure out the best solution). So we emailed Giron an explanation of our concerns, and Jose immediately replied and said it would be done, at no extra cost. So the next day, the front gutters were re-adjusted to slope toward the outer corners of the house, and porch gutters had rainchains instead of downspouts. It looks really nice. We appreciated the efficient and professional work of the Giron team, as well as their efforts to make us happy with the roof and gutter job. They even sent a man over to shop-vac the attic after the installation to clean up the rest of the dust and debris and also returned to clean up the debris they couldn't get during the downpours. Our belief is that quality work must come with a fair price. Giron Construction's efforts, workmanship, skills and professionalism are worth it.

All works was done professionally, efficiently, and ahead of schedule. They protected the landscaping, did no damage, and cleaned up thoroughly.

About a week before the job started I was called to confirm that a dumpster and materials would be delivered the following Friday. Of course that happened, and the next Monday the Giron crew arrived about 7:30AM. They spread tarps to protect shrubs, and began the tear off. On day one the crew was 2 men.. On day two it was 4 men. Two up on the roof, and two on the ground to move the debris and old roofing to the dumpster. Days 3, 4, & 5 saw two men working. One installing new material, while the other continued with removal and surface prep, all this was happening during days when the temperature soared to near 100 degrees. Even so the work continued unabated for 8 to 9 hours a day. Once done the supervisor came to the property to do the magnetic sweep, check my satisfaction, make any corrections if necessary and of course collect final payment. I had dealt with roofing jobs in the past and I found Giron exceptional. I gave them a "B" for price only because they were second cheapest of the four bids I received. Even then there was only a total $500 spread between the four bidders. As I recall they were only about $200 more than the lowest bid. I would, Ned have already recommended Giron to friends and neighbors.

My garage is attached to a cement wall and they did an excellent job of sealing the area with a special vinyl barrier. They explained the whole process to me and how the gutter system would work where the roof and the cement wall were attached. The finished roof looks great. I had problems for years with the roof on the one side, had many patches done over the years none of them worked for very long. I am confident this will last for many years.

I want to let you know how pleased my husband and I are with the work we had done by Giron Construction. Everything came out as promised and throughout the entire process they worked with us around our other projects we were trying to complete so that all our jobs could be done in a timely manner. When ever we called with a question we were greeted with a friendly voice and satisfactory response We would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to get work done on their home.

Over all this was a great experience. We had all of our siding replaced, new gutters installed and a new roof and of course the painting. The crews were polite and worked really really hard. Cleanup happened every day. Every time We turn into the driveway we smile :) It feels like we are turning into a new house. We highly recommend this company, fair prices, high quality materials and skilled workers. Thanks Giron!!

One of the owners came to visit me for a consultation. He arrived a few minutes late but had called ahead to let me know that would be the case. He politely and non-aggressively showed me the options and explained the differences in quality, warranty and pricing. Not pushy at all! I decided after to think about it for a day or two and then had them back out to sign the papers. They were very accommodating to my schedule and came out on a Saturday for me to sign the papers. The required half down before work could be performed and were able to take payment via credit card though with a 2% charge for doing so. My house is 1300 sq/ft and it is 18 square (roof size). The roof was done in two days. They arrived after I left for work at 7 and were gone before I got home from work around 5. My yard was left clean, they swept over it with a magnet to make sure there are no nails left behind. They cleaned out my gutters and made sure no debris was left behind. A couple days later we did a walk through and arranged for final payment. Overall I would say it was a good experience. Everyone I spoke with was friendly.

It went well. Crew was on time and communicated about what was going on. A bit sloppy on the cleanup end, but they took care of all our concerns.

Person was punctual, got on the roof and told me we needed to re-roof our home. Did not repair anything. I was told the $89 fee would go towards the re-roofing. After getting several other bids, I chose not to use this company, but did a re-roofing job with another contractor. I ended up paying through Angie's list for an estimate other companies gave me for free. It was worth it to find out I did need to re-roof my home. This is something I will consider when purchasing other services.
